Honorable Mention: Maya Angelou - Writer, Poet and Actress. She became a mute as a child because of domestic abuse. Loved her guest appearances on Sesame Street when I was a child. RIP (1928-2014)
Mad respect for Drew Barrymore who although being estranged from her dad, who had a history of alcohol and drug abuse, moved him near her when he was diagnosed with cancer, took care of him and paid his medical bills until his death, a true testament to her character!
@It was more her mom who exploited her not her dad which Drew said herself, her dad was just ‘unavailable’ because of his addictions for most of her childhood according to her which is not excusing him but a tribute to her for putting it aside and taking care of him when he was diagnosed with cancer.
Perhaps one of the worst instances is child actress Judith Barsi. She and her mother were regularly abused by her alcoholic father, and both were murdered by him before or when she was barely ten years old, before he took his own life.
Dave Navarro. When he was 15 years old, he lost his mother and aunt by his mother’s ex-boyfriend. Her death led him to a path of paranoia and drug addiction and it took 8 years for his mother’s ex to be caught when the case was featured on an episode of America’s Most Wanted.
Demi Moore is truly a strong woman to go through so much trauma and heartbreak in her childhood and manage to overcome it and build a stable life in adulthood
Honorable Mention: Demi Lovato Demi's alcoholic father left her and her family when she was young, and her rocky upbringing as a child star on Disney led to her getting addicted to drugs and alcohol
Other tragic childhoods: +Gordon Ramsay- Father was an alcoholic and verbally abusive; brother dealt with drug addiction; family moved around a lot +Dave Thomas (Wendy's)- Was put up for adoption; family moved around a lot; would argue and clash with his adoptive father; dropped out of high school
Charles Dickson- his whole family was in a debtors prison when he was 12, but he was “old enough” to work so he was “allowed” to work in a factory 14 hours a day, 6 days a week. Marissa Harshikata (sp.) her mother was killed (some say decapitated) in a car accident, and meriska was in the back seat.
Jacoby Shaddix This Man Has Been Through The Wringer and Is Indicative with Papa Roach songs Broken Home, She Loves Me Not, Scars and others the fact he's been In music for over 20 years crazy
Drew Barrymore is one of the best comeback from the darkness stories in Hollywood history. By all rights she should've been a statistic nearly 30 years ago. She battled her demons and won, and came out the other side a completely changed woman for the better. She comes across as one of the most real, humble, down to earth, sweet people in the industry.
My mom was a nurse at a Toronto Hospital, and we saw Shania Twain in the hallway, after her parents got into the car accident, and got brought to this hospital. She told me what Shania looked like, before she was a famous star. Interesting story.
Eminem is my celebrity crush. He's not only GORGEOUS, but he has also been through a lot of tough times, which has made him stronger, and I love him for that. He is a real, true, humble person
Im shocked river is not on this list obviously his brother watching him die is very traumatising but when it came to thr actual cult , river was not as lucky to have been a very young boy/baby at the time , also if your gonna talk about atrocities done by people , dont chalk it up to nust mistreatment because mistreatment is just so vague and those kids in the cult where physical mentally and sexually abused for years , dont talk about serious topics and chalk something up the mistreatment because everyone has been mistreated but not everyone has been through what river did .
I would really love to check out your list and dig into this important topic, but I can't. My sister is a social and I really gotta prepare myself emotionally to listen to one or two of her work-related stories. How am I gonna get through 20 at once?!
Lmfao, these people have no clue what a rough life is, I wish my childhood had been as easy as there's. But life ain't fair as my dad repeatedly told me so get over it.
I feel that way about a lot of Feldman's stories. I believe he had a horror story of a childhood but there is so much he says that contradicts his own stories. It's weird. Maybe his drug use has messed with his head I dont know but I truly think he is lying about quite a bit of it.

She's truly a good person
But look at her now. Drew Barrymore made some movie 🎥 performances & host her own show after her same name. Also I love "Drew's News!!!"
Yes, Drew is good for doing that but her father still exploited her. Let's not lose sight of that.
@It was more her mom who exploited her not her dad which Drew said herself, her dad was just ‘unavailable’ because of his addictions for most of her childhood according to her which is not excusing him but a tribute to her for putting it aside and taking care of him when he was diagnosed with cancer.
I have loads of respect for her,

I never realised that, thanks so much for sharing.
Demi Moore is truly a strong woman to go through so much trauma and heartbreak in her childhood and manage to overcome it and build a stable life in adulthood
It's heartbreaking what eminem went through in his childhood but he made the choice to break the cycle for his daughters and half brother
I admire these celebrities for managing to navigate tough upbringings, only to emerge stronger on the other side.
Honorable Mention: Demi Lovato
Demi's alcoholic father left her and her family when she was young, and her rocky upbringing as a child star on Disney led to her getting addicted to drugs and alcohol
I think it was also said that Demi Lovato had an eating disorder. I’m not exactly sure about that one though but I do know she had it rough.
Why is Michael Jackson not on this List?

Mariska Hargitay
You could probably make a top 50 list on this 😢
Jacoby Shaddix This Man Has Been Through The Wringer and Is Indicative with Papa Roach songs Broken Home, She Loves Me Not, Scars and others the fact he's been In music for over 20 years crazy

These people were and are nothing but resilient, that's the only reason they survived and overcame those tragic experiences.
These are all really hard childhoods
Eminem is my celebrity crush. He's not only GORGEOUS, but he has also been through a lot of tough times, which has made him stronger, and I love him for that. He is a real, true, humble person
There must be strength and determination in all of their hardship. It has made them the success and people they are today. Total Respect ❤
When talking about jim carey please give keenan ivory waynes his credit for help break jim’s career on his sketch comedy show In Iving color…
Happy saturday night, Phoebe, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
Marilyn Monroe 🥺
Kelsey Grammar 🤦♀️ 😢
It’s like he’s a Kennedy.
What about Dolly Parton?
Please can you make a video about times that the Powerpuff girls tackle serious issues? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Johnny Cash had a rough childhood too.
Famous celebs sounds so weird to me. Do we have not-famous celebs too?
Maybe they mean globally known celebs?
It would be stupid to have a list with folk who are just famous in the UK, USA, Australia, Japan etc.
Poor Nicki Minaj 😢
Michael Jackson should be on this list
How is Jay-Z's story any different from pretty much all other rappers?
7:50 wtf is “sexual mistreatment”? Do you mean he was abused? If so, then say it. Don’t try to soften it.
I love Niki but damn her speaking voice is so annoying
JZ, there is nothing tough about your greed!
Honorable mention: Tim Allen , when he was a young boy his father was killed by a drunk driver
You might want to revise this video and remove Jay-Z until the court case is settled.
i don't believe a thing feldman says.
I like him,he's called out Diddy and others
I would really love to check out your list and dig into this important topic, but I can't. My sister is a social and I really gotta prepare myself emotionally to listen to one or two of her work-related stories. How am I gonna get through 20 at once?!
I wanted to watch this, but the fry voice is too much for me.
😅 🤣
Lmfao, these people have no clue what a rough life is, I wish my childhood had been as easy as there's. But life ain't fair as my dad repeatedly told me so get over it.
😢
3:17 remove please 🤮
Like it or not he's a public figure.
Fr it's in poor taste considering the Diddy stuff
@EVERYGOODNAMEISTAKEN Noone has been convicted yet.
@EVERYGOODNAMEISTAKENI do agree
Most of these celebs became monsters, attending Diddy's freakoffs. Don't look up to or worship celebs.
No one said this video is to worship them. Just a list saying people's childhood backstories. Not that they are to be worshipped or looked up to.
I'll be your "hero's" are just saints huh? Maybe keep your shit opinion to yourself.
I personally do not believe anything Ashley Judd has to say about anything.
I feel that way about a lot of Feldman's stories. I believe he had a horror story of a childhood but there is so much he says that contradicts his own stories. It's weird. Maybe his drug use has messed with his head I dont know but I truly think he is lying about quite a bit of it.
Why? What makes you doubt her?
@@lasv15 Watching many interviews of her and her family, her views on kentucky coal miners and so on.
You talked about that lier gimmick Nicki garbage but didn’t talk about Lil Kim nor Mariah Carey smh mojo u need help
