My family moved here in July, so we are still getting to know the area. I wasn't sure what to make of the mayor before, but this was a stellar interview. Like you said, I appreciate his love for the city - which felt genuine. I really appreciate that he is an independent. I was disillusioned with my previous party and I don't feel like any major party really captures my values anymore - so when I registered to vote (which is automatic when you get your state driver's license), I opted to remain unaffiliated. Homelessness is certainly an issue. I don't think it is out of control either, but it is important to acknowledge it is a thing and to work towards making things better. Just visit the Bay Area, LA, NYC, Miami, even Denver - those places have crazy bad homelessness issues compared to there.

So nice to see there is a larger city in Colorado that is not being run into the ground by political ideology.
Our nation needs more leaders like this. I hope his vision comes to fruition.
