I remember 6 years ago when i used to watch ur videos all the time. I was so happy when i got my launchpad for christmas in 2017. U were my biggest inspiration to start playing launchpad. I actually still have it and play it, it was one of my best decisions ever and have never regretted it. I just wish u would make a new video ♥️

On Windows, ASIO is only needed if you have an external sound mixer or an audio interface. If you're just using headphones, then MME/DirectX should be fine. Just make sure to select the correct audio output device.
I have a pretty powerful Ryzen system, and coming from an older Intel system, one thing that I noticed was that setting the buffer size with MME/DirectX to the same level as my Intel system proved to give more latency than that Intel system. Bizarre, but I kept on looking for a solution. Eventually, with help from some people in Kaskobi's discord server, I gave ASIO4ALL a go and was astonished at the performance improvements I got. Heck, the lights on my launchpad even fixed itself and no longer showed any sort of issues (another issue I had going to a Ryzen system). Honestly the improvements you get with ASIO is enough for anyone to switch to it regardless imo

Windows will download drivers for you through Windows Update. Maybe I'm old, but I vididly remember having to install drivers through CDs after reinstalling Windows. It was quite fun.
As far as i know, the launchpad s only has 4 colors: red, yellow, green, and orange (although there are more specific shades and brightness intensities of these colors). I don't think you can get more colors, but im not sure. If you want a wider color range, the easiest thing to do is probably just getting a new launchpad.
Hey there, can anyone explain what to do when there is a seperate Lights folder and how to get the lights to work with the project. Im on Ableton 11 with Max preinstalled using Launchpad Mini Mk3. Some of the older Projects won't work properly, Thx in advance! :)

Ive had my Launchpad pro mk3 for 2 1/2 years now and I've never even managed to set it up properly, let alone use it. I spend 2 hours on it every few days. watched EVERY video there is, but nobody has ever managed to help! I've got to the point now where I have to cover it over because looking at it makes me ill!

Like, does that mean I can't make a project of my own and keep it as an ALS file so I can either upload it or reuse it like your projects online?
If you make it in the trial version with saving off then yes youll lose all the work. But if you start the 90 day trial you can make the project and use it even after the trial is over

I am a high school teacher, I want to use launchpad to record my voice with a few effects (very few), and give students commands like: Be silent!, Seat down, Open your chromebooks, attention to the attendance... etc.. also i want to allow a designated button to my NINJA students... (that means the best students..) I have NOOOOOO IDEIA how to set all that up! HELLLPPP!!!!! HAHAHA
You can record/sample the voices and then assign buttons to command the voices. There should be tutorial for it somewhere. You should need Ableton and Launchpad.

I agree to an extent, but asio can support a much lower buffer size than MME so you will always get better performance out of asio

It's an older version of MIDI Manager v6.0. Some newer projects with that plugin will have settings.
