My favorite cheap bourbons are made in Clermont and Louisville, Kentucky. 100 proof Old Grand-Dad, 100 proof Early Times, 100 proof Coopers' Craft, and 90 proof Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey. For higher prices, check out the J Mattingly and Glenn's Creek bourbons made in the Frankfort area. Because of the higher prices, best to get samples to try before buying a whole bottle. If you are in Frankfort Kentucky, go to a tiny bar called Stainless and try their cherry mead that they make. They also have some bourbons to try.
