    Say what you will, Bonamassa is very cool for inviting a guitarist he knows is better up on stage with him.

    IMO, Greg Koch is quite possibly the best, most versitile guitarist alive today.

    Well..I feel like a fucking mongoose at a cobra convention. Until a few minutes ago, I've never HEARD of Greg Koch. After listening to this vid, I checked out Greg doing "I"M SO GLAD". ..and so am I...I'll remember his name for sure. Thank YOU, Roy Ebert. I no longer feel jaded. Not much of the new stuff out there moves me, the old stuff gets repetitious, and the rest of the musicians I admire are quite dead. I look forward to exploring this man and his music !He's the REAL DEAL.

    I'll just say this, if I could be Greg Koch or Joe Bonamassa... I would choose to be Greg. The man always has so much fun when he's playing. On the other hand, Joe does have that amazing guitar and amp collection.

    He is great...I met Greg at a Fender clinic back in 2001 on Long Island.I had never heard of him and salesman at music store said "stick around,this guy's scary good"...Enjoy it people...Guitars are becoming an endangered spieces and players of this caliber aren't in the numbers they used to be...:o(

    I didn't realize Bonamassa was that good of a singer; sounds like he's channeling Greg Allman, and that's a compliment. OTOH, his guitar playing has always left me cold. But his intro was most generous, and I'm glad to see that. Koch was too low in the mix, but nice to see the jam here.

    @timothywebber Actually, Tallan and his Mom and Dad are personal friends of mine and joined us for dinner before the show. I know Joe too and Joe included the three of them on his guest list for the show itself. Then after the show, we waited by the bus and Joe signed a picture for Tallan of when he invited Tallan up to play with his band two years ago at Turner Hall. That really capped off the night and yes, it was a really fabulous show!.....Roy

  • @RootsRockRebel
    @RootsRockRebel 7 років тому +1

    Reading the comments is absolutely hilarious! Both these guys are professional musicians so there's not a pissing match as to who is better than who. Once you reach a certain skill level all that comparison nonsense goes out the window. Both these guys can flat out play better than 99% of the world's guitar players and they both probably can learn stuff from each other. The only people who talk about who is better than who are mediocre level amateurs and fans. Pro musicians don't worry about that BS. Either you can play the song well or you can't. That's all pros care about.

Who could ya HEAR better. JB knows a few thngs, too. I was watching him at NAMM like '09 I think standing next to groove MASTER and badass gtr. plyr. NilsLofgren. Joe is a good player no doubt, even though stuck in the cream era, Greg is amazing! Joe just has that thing he's somebody to admire and can i say despise at the same time, i don't know. maybe the sun glasses? i read a lot of comments and its too bad, were talking about a couple of guys who play guitar, there are worse things. lets cut ol'Joe a little slack for making a great profession of it. that part is pure genius. how many guys can go out on the road as guitar hero's in these times? Greg is from another planet, but its not a competition! He's better than you and crap compared to that one, and on and on...are you kidding? get real
