    im from the Netherlands i always loved English history i still remember the first time i heard about Pontefract castle, it was on the Robin of Sherwood series back in the 80's. nice to actually see it

    I have visited Potifract castle a few time in my life, back in 1953 was the first time. I really enjoyed visiting Pontifract as my dad was stationed there for a while in the war.

    Like many who took part I have always loved archeology, particularly the archeology of England. This looks like so much fun and a great opportunity!

    Control Pontefract, You control the Great North Road and also a lot of Maritime Trade coming up river.

    The coin may have belonged to the "Dutchman" who was a gunner in the Royalist garrison in 1645. Source: Nathan Drake's Siege Diary.
