Jess hi! Eating disorder warrior and recovery coach here. Have to say; THANK YOU! For teaching your kids how to have a healthy relationship with food & listening to their bodies. I work with a lot of clients who were forced to eat everything on their plate and they now suffer from extreme binge eating disorder. I truly appreciate you and look up to you as a mother!
Was good to give the twins the opportunity to go on the ride to build up confidence, this helps when older to take calculated risks if you dont kids can grow up not to know if they have to think for themselves - you are such an empowering mum, I think you children will grow into great Adults well done :)
100% agree my mother bubble wrapped me when I was a kid and now as an adult with high functioning anxiety, she still gets negative about everything I do, live the opportunities these kids have they will grow up with so much confidence
TIP: if you’re going to go to a park and ride any water rides (like Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Islands of Adventure over at Universal), wearing dry fit shirts with sports bras and dry fit athletic leggings or running shorts is so much more comfortable to be wet in. And dries a million times quicker. Also, bring flip flops in your bag to change into before the ride and then change back once your feet are dry.
For splash mountain they can actually turn on and off the amount of water for the big splash at the end. Like in the summer you get more wet, in the winter they turn off the jets or whatever that make it a biggest splash.
Ugh my heart this brought back so many memories! Unfortunately one was a horrible one..my middle son was 10 and wanted to do a ride no one else wanted to do so we debated so long and hard whether to let him. My husband and youngest walked him to the front and stayed while me and oldest went right to where they exited. He was so excited when he got off he ran right past us and yup you guessed it now I have a 10 year old missing in Magic Kingdom! Thankfully we'd always told them if we get separated look for a police man or security and that's what he did! I stayed at the ride (Space Mountain) in case he came back and hubby went up to lost kids he was eating ice cream playing a game with a guard holding a Mickey they'd given him! Way to go Disney lol hope y'all had fun haha
I love that you don’t force your kids to eat things they don’t like. my parents forced me to eat food i didn’t like and told me i would learn to like it one day. i now have an eating disorder most people don’t know about. i don’t eat meat, vegetables, most fruits, most dairy products, and i hate beans and nuts. unless it’s creamy peanut butter that’s it. i basically only eat carbohydrates. everyone thought i would grow out of it one day but now i’m 20 and my food choices have only gotten more limited. maybe if my parents didn’t force me to eat the foods i didn’t like i would have explored them on my own and made my own opinions. instead of being told to feel one way towards things and not having a say so automatically hating it and over time i truly disliked the taste of it.
I always had to try 3 (reasonably sized) bites of any new food or foods I didn’t like. Some foods I have grown to like, and some foods I still hate and I no longer have to eat. I hope you’re able to see a professional some day that can help you navigate your ED so you can learn to enjoy different foods. Good luck 🍀 🤍
@@jessicad3081 Some people who studied this ED says it can be from being forced to eat foods you don’t like as a kid. it can also be caused by head trauma as a kid, or even just someone’s tastes buds and their genetics I like that you brought up your sister cause my sister was forced to eat foods like me all the time but she will eat anything and everything without complaining. so i think that’s i interesting. we were both adopted from different parents so our genetics aren’t similar. sorry i just think this is a very interesting topic and it always makes me want to chime in and say something.
I was the same way with food. I’m still a picky eater at 27. I wish I would of tried more things growing up also. My mom never forced me to eat something I didn’t like. She would request me to try things though. Sometimes I did sometimes I didn’t. I love how you gave the how you gave the twins the option to go on the ride! That definitely will help when they are older and need to make decisions for themselves! I see Lilia coming in clutch with all the Disney facts! I’ve learned so much about Disney just by watching your vlogs! Love you guys!
My goodness. Lillia is so switched on with her knowledge of disneyworld. I could see Lillie getting a part time job in one of the parks either on a gap year, or while she is attending college during the holidays. Can't believe how grown up Lillie is. She is becoming such a remarkable, lovely young lady. She's already gorgeous so that goes with out saying bless her heart. 😘😘
Just a tip for others going to the parks. If you don't want to walk all the way to the baby care center right where the pooh ride is is a shop called the hundred ache goods and they sell a lot of the same stuff including baby Tylenol. Each land has a store like that. That cast member should have told you that.
I love the outfits, me and my friends were also Huey Dewey and Louie for Halloween, Addie's piglet outfits was so cute!! Love you guys, and I cant wait for another video!💙💚❤
I LOVE Splash Mountain, it's my all time favorite ride, but I actually understand what Chris is saying about liking it, but not wanting to get wet. I deal with the wetness for the enjoyment of the drops. I dunno why, but log flume drops just hit differently. 😂 I also, very inaccurately, constantly tell people they somehow control the splashiness at nighttime or when it's cold out, which has been proven (by me firsthand) to not be true, but I continue to believe it for some odd reason.
My mom always made sure that if one of us didn't like the main portion of the meal that we liked all the sides with it. For example I've always hated meatloaf so when she would make meatloaf she would always make like mash potatoes n mac & cheese n like a vegetable she knew I liked so that I was still getting a good sized meal.
My mum did something similar. I have always hated stew so she would make me something quick and easy to go with the mash like sausages but I would have to always have a very small portion of the stew too. When I was old enough I would just make myself something to go with the mash
I love the outfits! I wish I could get my parents to dress in matching outfits for the park!! 😔 alas, it is not. (Oh my gosh I love the Huey, Dewey and Louie shirt at 16:06 ! I recently watched all of the new ducktales)
Love how Mimi just adopts Talia's kids as more grandkids 👍🥰❣️ So sorry that Landen was not feeling well 💔😭. Good for the twins that they got to go on the ride by themselves 👍❣️ They're good kids 🥰❣️ I bet that boost their confidence a lot❣️ They will ALWAYS BE YOUR BABIES, JESS, (no matter their age) 💙💙😂❣️ 💞ALOHA FROM HAWAI'I 💞🌹 LYSSA 🌹
Hi Jess and all the family loved watching the video Thank you for putting it on here Your Children are a credit to you and your husband also your Mum and her partner Looking forward to watching more of your videos Hope every one is well and OK From Sue with love xxxxxxxxxxxx
@ 2:17 Addie's HAIR my goodness, Jess that has got to make your heart soo happy! My daughter is 17 now with a whole head of grow adult hair, with grow adult hair issues. When they're young their hair is virgin and wash and go beautiful. I miss those days. Miss Addie Patty is a true princess.
Jess genetics aside they're too young to have pain like that if it's not just loose. Having caps that young isn't good. Dont feel any type of way, it's hard to understand teeth and teach the kiddos. Brushing 2 to 3 times a day is a must and they HAVE to floss. Especially with your dental history.
In the best way. I’m sure he’s just being a kid a ‘milking’ the pain and the attention just a bit. It’s totally understandable m, but I remember being a kid and complaining about how bad my loose tooth hurt.
Awwww love you’re family you’re videos and you’re Vlogs and you’re channel sooo very much. I love you’re Disney Vlogs . I’ve been watching since the very beginning.
On the eating thing I agree with you! I have a picky eater and a child with autism and am autistic myself with texture issues with foods and a very adventurous eater. I never want to force my kids to eat everything on their plate and know everyone has different taste buds so not everyone including kids are going to like the same things. I support you momma. Much love and stay safe!
I had a picky eater. And I had an eating disorder when I was a teenager. So I never forced my child to eat. And I have kinda the same eating policy as you. I cook and he decides what he eats. Now he is 16 and so open about new food! He even likes spinach 😅 and in summer he sometimes requests a Salat 👍🏻😁❤️ so I guess I did it right! ❤️
I'm 32 and still have trouble taking pills of any kind. The trick? Cover it in pudding or ice cream (anything you don't have to chew and that covers it completely) and take it as a bite. Goes down easily!

Just love to know how much y’all spend on food while at the park? I know when we went long time ago it was awful expensive and there was just 3 of us!!!
I never forced my kids eat things either. But they did have to try it. They had to learn how to get food in hard times. That way in the famine that is coming they will eat what is available. You can never tell when you will be poor. Or food is hard to come by. If they ever was poor, I didn't want them to suffer. At least the best I could help them. Now they know food is not grown in the back of a grocery store like some kids believe. They know how to get it from the ground. I really didn't want my kids traumatized by starvation from lack of know how to get food when there was empty shelves.
I LOVE splash but can’t handle wet shoes. 😂 I bring flip flops in a backpack now and change before the ride and it’s life changing! Lol. Can’t do it without them!
😂😂😂😂 I have a fear for heights but my husband insists me to go with him. Almost had a panic attack and had to be checked. I keep telling myself never again but I go anyways smh
Poor Landon hopefully you won't have to find a dentist while on vacation. Poor guy a tooth is the worst pain ever 😢. Please let us know how he's doing. Just love your family. I'm 64 years old am disabled so I watch several families to keep my mind off my pain. I have a really bad back it's in the shape of the letter C now and my neck is messed up too my chin sits on my chest. It's very painful I have chronic muscle spasms every day. It just keeps getting worse. There's nothing they can do. I had surgery on my neck in 2018 i had 5 vertebrae where my spinal cord was compressed they put metal rods from the middle of my head down to my neck then 2 years later my low back had the same thing happen to 3 vertebrae. They put more rod's in there to help them stay in place. Now my mid back has a huge deep hole in it nothing can be done for it. They just tried numbing my nerves but it didn't help so I don't think there's anything else they can do. I can't stand in one place for more than a minute before I have to rush to lay down. Sometimes sitting down will help but when the spasms start it usually requires me to lay down. Thanks for sharing your Amazing lives with us. Really enjoy watching every video you post.
Can you do a sit down video with Mimi or a podcast episode with Mimi about parenting advice through the ages? I’d LOVE to hear what you all have to say.

I want to go to Magic Kingdom, Splash Mountain, Epcot, Disney Volcano Bay, Disney Blizzard Beach, Discover Cove and every other parks I didn't mention. Lol sorry not judging you but the whole point of a water ride like Splash mountain is the point that you would want to get wet and not dry lmao
Not hating but i like how you said “i have only been to a few places such as…” and that was 8 places lmao the only place i have gone before is disney world like 6 years ago
Just something my Grandmother did when I couldn't take pills. She smashed it in to a powder then put in to smooth peanutbutter and mad a small sandwich for me to get the pill down. Just a recommendation.
Jess, they have a medical area where you can go if you are really not OK. My daughter had a bleeding nose in Magic Kingdom that wouldn't stop so a cast member drove her in a little cart to the medical area. We saw a nurse and doctor who checked her out. If the ibuprofen didn't help I'm sure they would have something to help. Experience was amazing they were so patient with my daughter.

Mimi clapping after the big drop on space mountain was probably the best part! So happy she liked it
Just wanna say that Mimmi is such an awesome mom and gramma. I love how you include her in alot of what you guys do.
I love that lilia tells a bunch of fun facts while you guys are in Disney
👍
Me too.
Addie throwing kisses was the best. Hope Landen feels better.
Poor Landon. He is such a trooper. We actually didn’t ride splash mountain, every time we planned on it, it was just too cold for us!!

Such a scary feeling… I almost had a panic attack but my son was smart enough to find help and had a photo of me on his phone🥺🤦🏻♀️ he was 7 by then

No but they should at least try everything..a little..that's how u build up a good palette.....
Eating mac and cheese at every meal every day isnt good ..not healthy
I know

I have been watching your vlogs for many years and I cannot believe how quickly all of your kids are growing up! 😱🙊

But thank you Jess, for another amazing update!
Loved the Epcot yesterday(I might’ve seen my country🇦🇺!)

Hi Jess I hope Landen feels better love all your videos have happy holidays🎄🎁🎅🤶
Is it a good jesssfam Disney trip is jess doesn’t lose her voice?? 😂💜
mm. not
Okay, your Christmas intro may be the best one I have seen yet!
Love Disney world and Disney land period best places on earth...
Love you guys
I just love the intro 😍
I love the new ending screen! :D It's so cool! :D
I'm 32 and still have trouble taking pills of any kind. The trick? Cover it in pudding or ice cream (anything you don't have to chew and that covers it completely) and take it as a bite. Goes down easily!
Your outfits are the cutest ! 💕💕💕
To help with the kiddos taking pills, you can put one in a spoonful of ice cream or yogurt (something you don't chew) and just have them swallow it with everything else! That's what I used to have to do :)
Applesauce or pudding works too!
That’s how I always gave my son his prednisone ~ usually in chocolate pudding (a bribe)!
Just love to know how much y’all spend on food while at the park? I know when we went long time ago it was awful expensive and there was just 3 of us!!!
One of my favorite INTROS!!!!
With ALL there kids there family is the cutest
Jessica on splash mountain!! LOL 🤣
Awh loved the fireworks show at the end

I wish more of the kids would enjoy ALL of the rides! Hopefully they will outgrow their fears.
😂😂😂😂 I have a fear for heights but my husband insists me to go with him. Almost had a panic attack and had to be checked. I keep telling myself never again but I go anyways smh
I hope landen feels better btw all your kids are so cute

Next time you go to Disney world you should rent DVC points and stay in a villa. Much more room, full kitchens, and a washer and dryer in the room!
Jess, you are always so cute! Addie & Lilia looked adorable in their outfits. I really love the xmas intro! I don't remember if I commented on that video.
