More specifically, your insights on hook size/wire and it’s impact on moderate vs fast action decision. As a bank angler, trying to reduce the combos I lug around. Priceless video and channel Debo!
Very nice, informative video, Devo. I was never big on crankbait fishing until earlier this week. Fished a Rapala glass shad rap (medium diver) in blue on a 60 deg. overcast day and slayed 'em. Hours ago I was out on the water and the fishing sucked. I only caught a few average sized pickerel. The water felt pretty cold, and the lake was about a foot or so lower. For a little while I did throw around a lipless on a ML, without any results. Right after I bought that lipless, I replaced the trebles with #6 inline hooks. I have 10 pound braid on the combo I used it on. Earlier this year, I landed a decent bass on a small 1/8 oz rat L trap. The bait casting rod I used for that is a 5'6" UL rod. The bend is mostly in the top part of that rod,and seems to have some backbone. I had 5 pound braid on that one, and the fish was hooked real good. I struggle to locate fish this time of year, after everything turns over. I'm looking for a rod for a heavier setup, that has a good bend, but could handle 5/8 oz spinnerbaits, and jigs. I have a tatula CT on an old berkley lightning rod, and the thing is stiff, and feels like I'm fishing a broomstick. It doesn't seem to cast as far as my BFS setups, even though I'm throwing a heavier bait. The rod is a medium but rated for 1/4-1 oz. It feels like a medium heavy. Any ideas?

Are you a left-handed user to casting?
I'll be making a vid on that soon. I cast and reel with my right hand. Unless it's a spinning reel...I reel with my left hand 😂
@@DEBOSFishing Okay, thank you, the answer has made me understand.
I from Indonesia 😁
Lots of information, makes bass fishing seem really complicated. I just go catch fish, they are just fish.
Absolutely man. I like to get into it and give people options. If I can help someone become a little more successful, that's what it's about. But I have a buddy who has ONE combo and always catches fish. There is no right way to go out and have fun. Thanks for watching man!
Sorry bro i dident hear the line size.

@@urbanoutdoorsman898 thanks man, appreciate you taking the time to comment!
@@DEBOSFishing no no thank you for taking the time to respond to a fan. And also since the topic of cold water has been mentioned why not make a vid on how to tackle colder water as well.
