Simple, effective, good quality that does not cost a fortune.
Will always have a market worldwide.
Until drones saturate warzone.
The supertucano is no match for any jet fighter, but it is very effective for aerial patrolling and has been widely used by the Brazilian air force to patrol the Amazon against drug smuggling, to prevent illegal flights by criminal organizations and to combat illegal mining. and illegal deforestation day and night. It's like a police task plane because it's effective and cheap to maintain.
The super tucano's main role was basically CAS (Close Air Support) it was never meant to fight off modern fighter jet such as the F16
I thought only Afghanistan army used it, TODAY I LEARNED SOMETHING NEW
@@shataneekbhattacharya8088 Its a brazilian airplane..widely used in border patrol. When necessary, jet fighters are called in, but most of the patrolling is done by supertucanos.
Cool plane, kinda looks like a modern WW2 style aircraft
FAIL. This is NOT a “high wing” monoplane design!
"aircraft features a high-wing monoplane" ... does it....
🇧🇷 O Super Tucano é simplesmente espetacular!!!
Hello Not an Allied foreign adversary😊
A2-Tucano.
Low cost low maintenance with a high proven combat defense efficiency, A2-Tucano.
Along with already propeller driven UAV component assets this will have long term residuals for World Military's.

The canard-type combat trainer could become the model for the next future trainer, Korea's KT-1 trainer. Believe it or not
You should consider making a comparison between a Beechcraft T-6 Texan II and the A-29N Super Tucano.
Cool plane/target for Shilka or SA-19 Grison. it's good attacker vs infantry without man-portable air-defense systems.
Epic plane!
Why turbine when pistons is much cheaper to attack ground targets ? speed is not always good .
This plane is not used only to attack ground targets. Here in Brazil it is mainly used to intercept airplanes that enter the brazilian airspace carring drugs and weapons for criminal organizations, as there are vast forest areas, and the brazilian airforce cannot have airplanes ready to fly on every location, these airplanes have to be fast enought to intercept small unindentified planes, and have to cover large distances to be able to catch airplanes that are far from their locations.
It’s not a high wing…
Re-co-na-sis missions are 💀🤣
Just when you thought you were getting a real human voice the robot shows it's lack of pronunciation and adds to by saying Co-lam-bia
Seriously good robot voice without the pronunciation errors. Sounds like a middle aged black or mixed race male with a high school to community college education.
America picked the sky warden
Yup, the lowest bidder plane
Does it support aerial refueling?
Yes
Fantástico 🇧🇷👍🏻
How is this better than a drone?
I thought a high wing would require the wings to be on top of the aircrafts.....nevermind.........
Say reconnaissance correctly please.
"Reco-naysense." I'm assuming that's the first time you've seen that word. It's normally pronounced "re-CON-na-sense" or "Re-Con-ne-sahns"
My dude. It's an AI voice 😂😂😂
@@hellrazor117 Someone needs to train the poor thing then!
Why are these inane zero-research, Wikipedia and press-release reciting robot-voice channels allowed on this platform?!! It's the website equivalent of a robo-call.
You can see in the comments below - AI voices suck! I love aviation and the basic content on this stream was interesting but it seems to have been compiled by someone/something that is not that well versed in aircraft design and terminology. As mentioned below, the Tucano is obviously a LOW-WING monoplane, ho-hum! Humans are better . . . .
ROBOT
Stupid robovoice reading the brochure from Embraer
The Tucano makes no sense to me. A Beechcraft T-6 Texan II is just as fast and has more range. Even some of the Cessna line keeps up, wouldn't need any R&D just retrofitting, and they are rock solid reliable. Not to mention the Tacano wouldn't come close to keeping up with most of the WWII fighter planes.
There is only one difference, the T6 was never used in battle
@@fabianopacheco1511 Actually several countries used armed T-6 airplanes as ground attack or counter-insurgency aircraft.
Each countries please?
@@imikewillrockyou and they are now in line to buy the Tucano, why is that?!?!
It doesn't make sense to you, good thing you're not a buyer. You think only US aircraft are good enough. Ask yourself why this light attack aircraft has been so successful around the world.
This is America and we use feet, pounds and miles for measurement. So, much of your description was meaningless. No, I do not think Americans should adapt to European measurements.
Get over yourself.
This is the internet and your measurements are inferior. Which is why the majority doesnt use them.
T6 Texan
Wouldn't it easily be shot down with small arms .308 or 12.7mm?
kevlar cockpit, can fly with some of the avionics shot down and it has flare/radar detection/missile locking system detection.
They normally fly way up during missions.
@@thomasturner8798 Thank you for the FYI Thomas. I didn't realize that the gun optics or rockets/bombs on property driven aircraft such as these were sophisticated enough to do the job and be out of range (AAA, 12.7 & small arms 7.62.)👌👍💪
@@thomasturner8798 Typo. Prop driven.
