I went to high school with him too. Birmingham High in Van Nuys, CA -- although he wasn't there for senior year because he and his family moved to Philly. He was a year ahead of me, so I didn't know him well, but he was well-liked and very, very funny.
I met Bob on the Fox Studios lot in 2005 . He was out front of the studio of 'how I met your mother'.. i couldn't help but say hi and shake his hand. He was extremely gracious.

The Olsens finally showed themselves in so long. At long last! Their TV dad touched many people's lives who were kids themselves back in the 90s and tuned into their sitcom from the beginning.
He filled our home w laughter having had a family growing up in the Full House years. Watched on repeat and reruns entertaining time and again. Became “pizza party” night w extended family joining and we loved every minute of joy and memories made. A family show that bonded families. An anomaly today. Full House was a favorite show of mine. Then when my son was little, America's Funniest Home Video was my son's favorite show. Two generations in my family will miss Bob. To Kelly and his daughters, I am so sorry for your loss.
Bob was so happy and had so much more he wanted to give. He talked about how much he loved being back up on stage and how much he appreciated all his fans. He loved and was so having so much fun on this tour of his. He was in such a good place loving and enjoying life traveling throughout the country doing what he loved to do. The last picture he had taken and posted of himself was him standing up on stage shortly after his last show ended with such a thankful smile on his face. He was so happy and so proud and was so ready to go and keep going. I just can’t believe we’re here watching this video of Bobs final moments. 😞

Like many, I grew up watching Bob Saget on television. Although Full House was a TV show, it symbolized a family that cared for each other and could persevere through tragedy with comedy. In 2013/2014 I saw he was coming through town to perform comedy. He was the first stand-up comedian I had ever seen live. I don’t remember his jokes but I do remember his presence and how he made myself and a room full of strangers laugh. I’m so happy I was able to have the moment in my life. I can’t imagine the magic he brought into the people he was close to but I can say as a fan, he brought laughter and joy to many people he had never met. RIP Bob.

I grew up watching America's Funniest Home Videos with my Mom and Dad in the 90's! It was always great seeing Bob and hearing his voiceovers. He had a profound impact on many people and made many of us laugh.
He was one of my TV dad's. Him and other father figures during the 80s and 90s. He was the definition of a father figure. I thought of him as family even though I never seen him or met him in real life he felt like family. As a child he helped guide me from television. He helped me alot. I felt like he was my father. I do not do social media or watch television presently these days at all (busy) only when visiting family. Usually when celebrities pass away some people make jokes and talk negative. Showing hate instead of love. By the end of the day they are human like everyone else. They have struggles, they get sick, they have a family and friends, etc. They are not coming back. We all lost someone in our lives at some point. Show love instead of hate. Do not be negative. Mr. Bob Saget, even though I never met you but you felt like family. Bob was unique and special to most people born in the 70's and 80's, and i think many would agree. He was like that one guy who was always there with us in the most current, relevant way. He was a big part of a lot of our lives as kids both through Full House and AFHV. He could have stayed on TV family sitcoms after Full House ended, easily. We were all getting older, most of us not watching things like Full House anymore. Instead watching things like............Half-Baked. And there he was. Bob. With probably the greatest random comedy cameo in history. With a very ADULT line. From that moment on, Bob's public image, and public appearances were permanently connected with his adult stand-up. What we now know, is that he in fact sacrificed tens of millions in endorsement deals because he returned to his pre-Full House adult stand-up. In the entertainment industry, its like you have to be one or the other. Its like Bob was walking with OUR GENERATION, and even made sacrifices as a result. Our generation got to know his stand-up routine, and "Bob Saget" would be a name frequently brought up in jokes among ourselves. Then came that Roast in 2008. Still, one of the funniest and insane R-rated specials ever. I don't think any Roast since then has been nearly as popular. And now, we can all come back full circle to AFHV and Full House. And remember why we liked Bob to begin with, as INNOCENT people. As 4, 5, and 6 year olds. Bob knew how to click with us no matter our age.
I met Bob along with Dave Coulier following a show they headlined in Detroit about 20 years ago. He was with his daughter. I asked him and Dave for autographs and they couldn’t be more gracious. Bob’s death saddened me. I grew up watching Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos

When you consider the people who truly deserve to die, Bob Saget, Sidney Poitier and Betty White definitely DO NOT fit the bill.

Betty and Sidney were very much up there in years and likely ready (Betty always said she was ready to go anytime to be reunited with the love of her life, so that's something to draw comfort from).
But Bob was too young.

Bob will be missed grateley I grew up watching full/fuller house he wasn’t just a dad a friend or a family member he was an angel who was loved and it was so sad he died so young but he will always be in our hearts ❤

The people of the Middle East also used to watch Bob Saget on AFHV in the 90s. He made us laugh and come together at times with our families. May he be in paradise and May his love and devotion carry on to his kids and kids kids.

What a terrible month. First Betty White and now Bob Saget. Two beautiful souls. I haven't felt this bad since Robin Williams passed away. Bob Saget was a huge part of my childhood. I would literally be glued to the TV whenever Full House or AFV came on back in the early 90's. RIP legend. 🙏

As sad as this is, Bob left this world having helped raise millions of kids, and being an important staple in all of our lives. He will never be truly dead because he lives on in us. I mean, think about how different our lives would have been if we didn't have Full House growing up. I can't even imagine my life without Full House. ♥️

Bob was unique and special to most people born in the 70's and 80's, and i think many would agree. He was like that one guy who was always there with us in the most current, relevant way. He was a big part of a lot of our lives as kids both through Full House and AFHV. He could have stayed on TV family sitcoms after Full House ended, easily. We were all getting older, most of us not watching things like Full House anymore. Instead watching things like............Half-Baked. And there he was. Bob. With probably the greatest random comedy cameo in history. With a very ADULT line. From that moment on, Bob's public image, and public appearances were permanently connected with his adult stand-up. What we now know, is that he in fact sacrificed tens of millions in endorsement deals because he returned to his pre-Full House adult stand-up. In the entertainment industry, its like you have to be one or the other. Its like Bob was walking with OUR GENERATION, and even made sacrifices as a result. Our generation got to know his stand-up routine, and "Bob Saget" would be a name frequently brought up in jokes among ourselves. Then came that Roast in 2008. Still, one of the funniest and insane R-rated specials ever. I don't think any Roast since then has been nearly as popular. And now, we can all come back full circle to AFHV and Full House. And remember why we liked Bob to begin with, as INNOCENT people. As 4, 5, and 6 year olds. Bob knew how to click with us no matter our age.

I met Bob along with Dave Coulier following a show they headlined in Detroit about 20 years ago. He was with his daughter. I asked him and Dave for autographs and they couldn’t be more gracious. Bob’s death saddened me. I grew up watching Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos

I first “met” Bob watching him do standup in the 80’s, man he was good. So inappropriate, but engaging at the same time. You were a gift to the rest of us Bob!

Again my condolences go out to you all and my heart aches along with you as a true icon of straight up and absolute awesomeness pure awesomeness went to be with the lord Jesus before us, I feel as tho I’ve lost a friend even though I never had the pleasure of meeting him. . . I loved watching Bob Saget every single moment TV series of Full House
I remember watching the show since the year of 1985
Changed my entire life since the year I was growing up I remember going through every bad and the good but now it is sad he's gone now it really hurts.
I am still the biggest fan of the TV series I like every film actor who has been booked a show for a long time but my number one favorite was Bob Saget playing Danny Tanner always from season 1 throughout the whole TV series.
I respect Bob Saget in his family has to say thank you
