Nice job on those trees with the either Farmertec or Neotec or Farmmac 660 saw! I have two of those & one is 5 years old & it always starts & cuts! That new Sthil 661 is a gorgeous saw with the West Coast muffler on it! Be safe!
Looks like it's running great I have one of their 250 clones and the thing is amazing the only difference I noticed is plastic is a little more brittle but all the metal parts are great. I think it's pretty much all farmertech parts anyway the tone on this 660 is a lot different though I've got the ms660 magnum and it's got a deeper lower pitch tone to it but maybe it's just the aftermarket exhaust on it never really ran it with the stock exhaust I mostly cut oak now the main problem I've been having with the 660 is overheating 36 inch bar even got the high output oiler on it now still gets hot fast tried bunch of different chain just can't manage the heat so just have to go real slow Thank you for all the amazing content and for sharing your journey
Farmer Tech is a holding company and subcontracts all its parts out. Most likely many of the parts are made in some of the same places. None of these knock off saws or even name brand saws make all their parts. Most likely most the parts are subcontracted out.
I have had absolutely nothing but troubles with my blue saws. My go to saw for my Gyppo outfit her in north Idaho is my trusty 046 with a 32 inch Oregon bar. I really want a 500i. Maybe after I finish this job I can justify buying one. I definitely wouldn’t mind a 660 either. In north Idaho we get some large trees (not quite as tall as the coast but definitely big around). Lots of ponderosa pine, lodge pole pine, white pine, dug fir, hemlock, white fir, spruce and tamarack.
Good morning Odie. Nice video the saw is running good. Nice new 661. Good sized bear. Take care and have a blessed and safe day and I'll see you on your next video
I have a G366 a MS361 clone. I have put about 6 gallons of fuel thru it Not sure how many tanks that equals. The oiler just went out, I bought a new clutch oiler and drum for 40 bucks and put them on in 20 minutes back to running. Not a professional but not a person who pulls the saw out once a decade either. For the total money I have in the saw I’m happy.
I had the Stihl ms 361 years ago an I loved it. It and my Stihl ms200T were my favorite goto saws. I'd love to see a video on the clone version of the 361. I've heard the clones are getting a bit better and you can always replace parts that go bad with Stihl OEM parts and that seems like a great way for those of us who can't afford the high price of a Stihl these days. 😎👍
Mr Bear likes the sweet sound of 7.3's too, either that are he was thinking to himself. No way he can keep up with me, he's gotta ole 7.3, and everyone knows they'll run forever, but not very fast You had Chinese saw chewin with that long bar pullin short rakers sound like. Glad you gettin your money outta it, ain't too many had such good luck from what I seen, but maybe they just have that kinda luck with every saw they had before too. No word on the one went to boarding school back East? Well Sir y'all have a Great Day, and a better Tomorrow. Take care
G660 is a good saw for the price, won't compeet with ths modern MS661. But the MS661 is out of my reach. About 2 years milling with my g660 without any serious issues, just bought the Neo-Tec ns872 (381 clone) haven't had a chance to break it in, seems fit and finish on these Chinese saws has improved in 2 years.
Yes they are no match for the ms661 but does the job I now mainly use this g660 for a spare at work it can sit in the back of my truck for several months and when I need it it starts right up and cuts timber all day I still have not had a chance to pit it on the mill yet soon maybe
Saw sounds pretty healthy. Not quite the same pitch as a stihl, maybe not pulling the chain as fast but she cuts. Almost sounds like she could be leaned out a bit more but this is UA-cam and not in person. Looks like an old guard rail from way back.
Yes I need to do more of that I just tried this saw for the fun of it seemed like lots were trying them hasn't been bad still its no German made still LOL
@@ODIE-WAN I get it. Almost nothing left in the world without some overseas parts. Good to see Stihl has a huge American plant (but one in china also) oh well gotta make money right?
Looks kinda windy. But not too windy. Smashed three 056's in one day back in the 80's. They were all fixable. The only operator error was that I was cutting on a windy day. LOL Live and learn I guess.
It seems about the same maybe just a little more it is definitely not a hot rod but not bad I was going to message you I had a UA-camr come up last week to cut down a tree with a axe and most the time he was talking your nuts 319 sticker was right there his channel is ANDREW LEVETT
I need to play with it some more have not used it too much and seems like it was cutting like it ids loose by the end of that day might be the chain though need to figure out what I think and put it on here
32yo flathead Looking for out of State, saw work I have everything I need. If anybody knows anybody hiring out of Texas, Let me know..... Thanks in advance... Sincerely, "yours truly, Thomas..

Thanks for the update , love to see how long itll last! I have one myself i built , done about 50 tanks and goes good
It will be interesting how long the saw will last

It does seem to run nicely yet I don't think it quite has the power as a stihl thanks

I cut in northeastern Wa for years on old RR ground the timber was smaller but did have large trees mixed in like you say lots of pretty nice spruce
@@ODIE-WAN 500i is a beast of saw
That bear... he looks kind he's good size. Especially for this time of year. Pretty bear. My first bear was cinnamon like that.
Good morning Odie. Nice video the saw is running good. Nice new 661. Good sized bear. Take care and have a blessed and safe day and I'll see you on your next video
I saw the switch as well..... I was surprised
Sounds pretty good & looks to cut pretty good! Glad it’s working out for ya.

Wow the Camera did a 2&AHalf😂those Saws have come a long way. Awesome job as usual ODIE -WAN 👍
Great video. That clone seems to work great for not being a Stihl. 😎👍

Beautiful yellow pine (Ponderosa)
Yes nice trees

Yes when I bought the saw seems like I could not get it to lean out like a stihl will have to play with the carb again
Digging the voice over. Might try more of that. Remember, buy American!!! .....er, German lol.

Yes wind can be hard on a saw year before last I got a saw in the wind not totaled though
Thanks for the video. Keep the stick dawgs on the new saw?
Yes I do like the stock ones better than the more aggressive aftermarket
have you tried farmac NEO TEC) SAWS
I have not would kinda like to for the fun of it
👍👍
Why didn’t you get pet the brown waddler? He looks cuddly lol!!!!
Yes cuddly and fluffy but that was close enough and in my truck
Does yours burn way more gas than the stihl?
