Been eyeing the blue g660's for little over a year now. Saw the "pro" version and had to order one the other day! Hopefully the improvements warrant the extra cost!

I have one of these on my F2 plus Sawmill. I upgraded it with a bunch of OEM Stihl parts before I ever fired it up. I put a 1.3 mm stroke high output oil pump on too. 36 inch Stihl bar and chisel chain. It is all the saw I will ever need, I have an easy start Stihl and a Blue Max to handle cutting and bucking.

Another good video chris. Those 660s are good saws. Kind of interested to see the new and improved one they just released. I'm going to hold out for the 395

I just got the Neotec NS8105 with the 36 inch bar. Holy crap is that thing massive. I'll break it in tomorrow on a 32 inch red oak round.

I don't usually question people on UA-cam without knowing more about them, but I just stated watching and enjoying watching you using your saws and I can't help but to ask why you cut your logs so short? Do you have a really small fireplace? Usually, 16 to 18 inches is the normal length. Not bustin' on you, I've cut some that short for some people using fire pits, just wondered.
These are 16" roughly. Maybe the camera angle? I have a zip tie on my saw handle to help me measure .

How do you like the big blue saw I have been looking at them to use for an Alaskan sawmill.

@@KillingerUSA I’m a husky man myself but I need a big bore saw to kill with and hate to spend 15 or 1600 on one to basically burn up because milling is hard on saws and am leaning towards this one

Don't think I have ever seen someone use a Stihl bar with a non-Stihl saw, guess you know Stihl bars are a cut above the rest, don't even want to mention the other brand most people go to for replacements, but I guess sometimes you do what you have to do.
Well, I have a lot of stihl saws and bars. This is a stihl 660 clone. I do like the stihl bars and they really aren't crazy money from my dealer so I run them. Might as well.
What’s your take on the holzfforma bar and chains?
Never had a chance to run them.
@@KillingerUSA I’ve seen other guys use them on here and some said that the bars are kinda cheap and the chains stretch fairly easily. What would you recommend? I’m presently using an Oregon power match on my g660.

I'd go with the pro. Few upgrades that seem to be worth it. Although, I have had 0 issues with this one.
