i died after you put the vaseline DIRECTLY to your lens!
😊
Darylle Adriana he has a filter on
Aren't there thousands of editing softwares that can add that filter? OR JUST BLUR OUT THE CORNERS WITH PHOTOSHOP!!!!!!!
No his camera died
Then why u can write this comment?!
I would like to use Photo Editor rather than applying Vaseline to my lens.
Dasha Savosina No
Yeah so true lol
Rightt
Vaseline is a pain in the add to get off glass I know from experience
use cheap filter
Omg please don’t put Vaseline to your lens. Just edit the pics.
He put the Vaseline on a filter
theres filter dumbo
Filter
Xnxx indonesia
Money wasted.......😭😭😭
As a pro photographer for decades, never use vaseline even on a UV filter its a mess!! Get two UV filters and use clear nail polish. Leave center open about the size of a dime. Make one filter with a round center, the other one an oval. And for best result shoot wide open (lower number f-stop)
You can also stretch a pair of stockings over the lens to make a cheap star filter.
and maybe some bbq sauce?
Lol holy shit I'm new to photography but I would NEVER put Vaseline anywhere near my lens
I mean WTF???
@@qupation7296 The Vaseline trick was the way we all did soft focus dreamy portraits before the advent of digital cameras & editing software. It doesn't harm the lens as long as you are careful when cleaning it afterwards.
Me either
It looks like he has a UV filter on, but who knows
I seriously hate the matchstick/lighter hack. It doesn't look like a flare at all, it just looks like you're holding a flame up to your lense!!
100 second how you destroy your lens.... Why not motor oil....
Its called using a lens filter, i guess only actual photographers know this considering everyone in this comment section cant stop freaking out over the vaseline, which is the oldest trick in the book...if anything people should be upset that this video wasted their time, cause i thought everybody knew these tricks lol
Monco Field trust me mate!!!!
its called urm just being rich and buying a new lens if it gets destroyed
Photo editing apps - Are we joke to you? 😂😂😂😂
“Don’t you dare put Vaseline on my camera lens, if you put your fingers anywhere close to my lens you’re gonna be using that Vaseline on your blackeye for the next three weeks!”
I promise I won’t.
I was with you until you put vaseline and a match on your lense!!
Lens filter
@@TurboSauceOA still some peps dont have a filter just the lens
@@goncalogaranito5026 well in that case just do not put vaseline onto your lens and they'll be all fine I guess?
nah the matchstick works i did it
I not quite sure what the hack are for. For example the burning match idea, detaching lens.. the effect was roughly introduced and result skipped.
I'm not sure about the matches either, but the detaching is supposed to make it look like someone waking up, or coming out of a dream, when your making a video/film.
@@niharpotluri9472 sorta, but yoits best to recreate that in post of c!
Somehow I'm not impressed, I want a 100 second refund.
you can't return the time
there's no refund allowed it's already past
@@MervynSacala oh don't tell me, mr. obvious
Majo Benitez no. don't tell me that you can't go back to past.
Majo Benitez it's already too late we are getting old , we are not getting Younger
0:47 worst thing you can do to your lens
Reuel Enerio I don't know if is that's a lens? Some say its filter?
Why?
@@neousone5140 there is no filter you can see that he aplied some on the edges
It’s a filter
Plus can’t you just put the blurry effect on the video
Favorites were the colorful bag and floating lens dream effect, especially since the dream effect is tedious to reproduce in post yet easy to do while filming...nice!
Clickbait logic =
1 minute 40 second = ahh it's a
long time.
100 second = W0wWwW!!
That dolly and slider was ingenious. Why haven't I every thought about that?
I recently got into photography so thanks for these
I think that these are probably some of the worst most ridiculous ideas for photo editing I have ever witnessed! I have the Canon EOS M50 and the Canon DS12 Rebel. I would never ever rub vaseline of all things, on my camera! I want to say to anyone watching this(amateur or professional) to never ever rub vaseline on your camera lens! Vaseline is extremely hard to clean off and is meant to be resistant to water, and considering the prices of lenses, I would never risk one of mine, especially a real Canon brand one!
And if you really want to blur the edges of your photo, almost any photo/video editing program out there will have that as a choice!
rubbing stuff like Vaseline or oil is a thing some people still do, but you would only do it to a filter over the lens, which is what he seems to have done. What I don't get is why he would not tell the audience this, somebody might ruin their expensive lens instead of a cheap filter because of this advice.
@@crungposter6037 Yes Very Good Point! He should have at least said something!👍
Was actually trying to figure out what exactly I could do about lighting and my new towel method as well. Lol so good.
Oh yeah, burn that lens, burn it. Hell yeah
That Australian king parrot picture was beautiful!
Instead of putting vaseline on your camera/lenses, just give it to me, I'll treat it like a baby XD hahaha
Sheldon Potato he put the Vaseline on a filter
Everyone: omg you put Vaseline on your lens
Me: why did I read it vase line
Vaseline?.... vaseline?.... VASELINE?!?!?!?! Why dude?
Definitely going to try out the fish line trick!!
Aside from the towel and chair things, there is no reason to do those things, but in post effects edition
cellocarlos same
The reflection too
i have much more fun doing the editing, after the shooting.
I use a glass prism and a cd and hold at various angles in front of the lens to get nice effects, also if I’m using a wide aperture on a 50mm lens or more telephoto then you can just push your fingers up into frame from the edge
Okay the towel slider and tripod ones are actual game changers! Subscribed!
my tripod has the feature of the middle pole slide up and over for a horizontal angle 🤷🏻♀️ I couldn't work out what he was doing 🤣 and if you do try it, be sure to put a heavy weight on the chair, one of those sand filled door stops (cheaply found at kmart/walmart) works a treat.
Another trick you can try is to remove your lens and add a bit of water at your sensor. Then put your lens back, and you will have a lovely blurry effect on your pictures!
😂
Or add water to mirror, put lens on, to get dead camera effect
Amazing!! You need more subs! I just got the g7x mark 2! Not sure on how to even set on good settings! Great video!!! 😁
The last tip is the most awesome! love the ending!
Nice outside the box thinking. Thanks for the ideas!
Thanks for the comments everyone!
Just to clarify, I state in the description that this video was inspired by Peter McKinnon, not copied. Although I think one or two of the tricks are the same, it's still good info :)
The song is 'Cross my Heart Remix - Martin Carlberg' from epidemicsound(dot)com :)
I am sorry but some tricks matched with the video of Sheldon Evans too. Anyway I like your channel and subbed.
I've seen all of these tricks before in similar videos, not hating, but I think you need some more original ones
This video helped me so much!
Hayden Pedersen your execution was better
I will def be using a few of these. I esp love the surface reflector genius!!!!
I've found that using a boom mic stand works GREAT for the top down tripod effect. With an adapter to convert to a standard 3/8" threaded tip... You can do a lot with a nice boom mic stand.
deez
@@bweh nuts
you must be a Peter McKinnon fan! :)
He is actually Peter McKinnon’s buddy/friend! 😀
I enjoyed the reflection tip!
A lot of these weren’t that good haha
I don't Have a camera so why I am watching this?
#poor pepole 😖😖
meh to ;(
Me but i'm going to buy a nice one 😁
Craigslist or something will get you a start you could find a T3i or something for a few hundred
Same here
Same to me.
Yoooo the intro was absolute fire! love it! just subscribed!
It actually makes sense that he tried to make the video exactly 100 seconds with no extra trash talking 💝
inspired dude !!! keep going !!! i just saw ur vlogs and this video, and i just subscribe ur channel !!!
His videos are so good!
halo mastah

Oh gosh when he used that swivel chair outside, the song "they see me rolling, they hating. They tryna catch me dirty" ran in my mind😂 love the hacks
Wow, the hacks shown in the video can be implemented really well with cameras. DSLRs and mirrorless ones can make the cut.
Omg.....outstanding photography😍
Which camera have you used for your photographs??
What sound track name ?
THIS VIDEO WAS SICK!
Amie Mariah cheers dax ❤️
Amie Mariah right

Who else doesn’t have a camera but still watches these videos
I love the chair silly. We did this in college with those heavy video cameras back in the dark ages. Yeah, Kodak was still king.
와우^^ 정말 대단해요~
Everything seemed ok until the Lube! Lmao
amazing vids please do a video on tips and tutorials explaining the settings you use
Bloody brilliant job bloke absolutely brilliant and thanks for passing them on💯🤘
Great Video! I´ll use some of them for my next projects :)
Amazing Video! I was attentive to you through your video where you've met casey neistat, and I am very glad to have you subscribed
SimonClassics 🙏🏼🙏🏼 thank you!
Love it! Great job.
This guy really love his dog
song ?
Next Tipp: Rub that Vaselin all over your Camera, set that thing on fire and throw it down from a Mountain...Boom cool Filter 🤦🏻♂️
Been photographing for a decade and barely knew any of these hacks. Quite interesting most of them but highly risky as well.
I tried the fish wire trick on my canon rebel t6i barely BARELY works. I love that effect but how can I make it right. I dont know
100 second huh looks small but it may have took hours and hours of hardwork and determination to make this video good job keep it up👍👍👍
Zappy Tech cg
Hours? Nah. Probably 30mins max . Hell not even that
Is your camera lens ok?
Edit: sorry for my bad English. Because it is not my mother language.
Your english is fine bud
Bro ure english is good....
0:41 what would your neighbours say lol
This is the best DIY video I’ve ever seen
I hate those people talking and make the video so slow and boring
Well if you apply the Vaseline on a telephoto, you got yourself some entertainment while you wait for the birds to show up
Hey hey people he did a good job, yes the vaseline was weird but honestly the video was really helpful. Thanks man
They see me rollin in an office chair🎼
Damn, using a chair as slider its awesome idea 😆✌
Absolutely loved this!!!!!!!!! You r amazing keep it up man!
Pora jantttt
What's the song title?
Kurt Angelo cross my heart - martin carlberg
Love the cloth and rolling chair
So nobody’s gonna talk about how he practically recreated Peter McKinnon’s thumbnail?
Hey man, I really love your vids, this will really help when I get a camera
Teeve 900 thanks man! :)
My heart almost stopped when he applied the vaseline right on the lens....
I like the towel and office chair tricks. Cool!
This is the perfect excuse I need to carry Vaseline.
Kicken it!! I'm on board thanks

Music?... please reply
nico beau productions cross my hearts & hope to die (ahlstrom remix)
The towel slider is the only hack that got me.
Ngl thought I was watching peter McKinnon till the end of the vid lmao
WOWOWOWOOW, gush! You are amazing! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU 🔥 this video actually SHOWS why we need UA-cam...& what I WANT TO SEE ON UA-cam.
Sick editing man ❤️
I love the song in addition to the amazing photos. Who knows the name of this song?
Bruh there are filters for a reason just sayin
BRUH>You can't use filters on film cameras, or any camera like this unless it is already built into selectable camera settings! It isn't a smartphone smh. duh!
and for a digital camera of this type he'd have to take a lot more effort to upload pictures to a computer and edit them, and that is just a pain in the ass. I do tricks with my camera when I am out and about or just messing around all the time. And they work! Then later I can just enjoy a cool picture and enjoy my creativity rather than having a program do it for me. Instead of editing photos on my computer, I create art and try new things. These are going to work for people who own a similar camera, actual quality cameras, not phones, who want to explore simple art techniques to change up their photography, and I think it's fun, and they are not even that hard.
@@ahoward3503 ok boomer.
@@anirudhanil um..... I'm 25...Just because I'm smart and own a camera like this it doesn't mean I'm over 60. Have fun with your stupid instagram account though.
Name of the song??
nico beau productions cross my hearts & hope to die (ahlstrom remix)
Vaseline trick was pretty slick!
That was amazing!
Watch Peter McKinnon...imitate what he does...make a video...profit hahaha
Ken Block and you just became a bitter hater..
Mehrdad Haghighi hfye
I mean, he literally stated the facts. How's that hating?
Name of the song
nico beau productions cross my hearts & hope to die (ahlstrom remix)
really inspired me especially.
It's just satisfying!!!
Fishwire, towel, the light thru stuff and zip lock are the only logical ones everything else is why?especially the vaseline youre ruining a lens that way same with matchstick you could ruin ur glass that way just use a CD reflection for that effect And out in the real world most of these ideas are not really possible
Christopher Gongora Vaseline won’t ruin your lens.... I always do it, and just stick the lens through the dishwasher on a cool wash (without detergent) and it comes out like new...!
@@lockodonis oh wow such innovative thinking! Great idea ill put in the laundry too while in at it
Christopher Gongora you just use a clear glass filter like an ND filter but clear
@@JakeAndrews7 fasho but theres better ways than putting gunk on it especially when u pay loads for quality glass why damage it in that sense it could also get inside the motors just my 2 cents or use filters for different looks like u said
Christopher Gongora I would never do it but if you really wanted to I would get a clear ND but still like you said, little sketchy.
Not even a second wasted. A video directly to the point amd very helpful! Subscribed!
This is so good! Thank you so much 🥰
What is the music in this video please? Great tips by the way, thank you very much!
This guy knows how to make videos! New sub ☑️
Chris Dodd Films agreed he's good

Yep Pay the man, that was good!
