You are truly a genius. This piece is just beautiful, and I hope that you are very proud. Keep up the amazing work, we all hope to hear more from you soon!
It's actually just an embouchure technique. Trumpets and trombones do this as well. In the higher registers it can be done by simply pulling the tuning slide(s) out farther, or the 3rd valve slide on the trumpet (operated with the ring or pinky finger). On a trombone one can simply use the slide if the glissando is within one harmonic register. If the glissando is over more than one register, or on the valve instruments, what has to happen is the player gradually changes their buzzing.
I LOVE this. My goodness. I was so disappointed that none of my other French Horn buddies could play it. Agh. :( Now i'm out of high school and don't have my own horn. Glad I have this to my ears company. Haha.
@xblairx95 i use a mouthpiece adapter for my mellophone so i use the same mouthpiece for french horn and mellophone but i couldn't stop playing the horn
@@Marc_Papeghin lol i must say that i think you look /amazing/ with the beard. when i watch (and re-watch) your newer videos, sometimes i think "my god, is Marc so damn sexy because of his incredible looks, or is it also his effortless and expressive playing, too?". you're definitely one of my youtube favourites when i want to relax and unwind!
@malignantbassist Maybe open your throat when you're playing. It could have to do with that and breathing. Mellophone sort of forces you to do that because you're marching and you're focusing a lot on the breathing so you don't get tense. I find that mello is a bit easier too, maybe try trumpet. It's easier to hit the notes on trumpet and mello because the partials are farther apart.
And I ran out of space, my apologies. As I was saying: the player gradually alters their buzzing to the point that they reach their desired note, at which point they'll need to change the fingering or slide position or it is extremely hard to maintain the note. It's an extremely hard technique, and takes years of playing, professional instruction, and a well developed embouchure to do. Flexibility exercises are the most beneficial to developing this technique.

C'est vraiment bon et ça me rappelle la musique de J. Williams ! Pouces levés !

oh wow, i'm not used to Marc looking so young!
Haha, that's probably cause I didn't have a beard when I filmed this one ! Even today when I shave I look 10 years younger ^^

That was amazing! What program did you use to put the visuals together in the video?

That is great! What do you use to keep time when you record yourself several times?
What is the range needed for this piece? It's amazing!

What is the model of the French Horn you use?
have you taken composition lessons? if so, from whom?
Great way to sell music too - brilliant marketing. I hope it pays off well for you :-)
