I see people shopping at WalMart with their dogs (just regular pets), and I'm thinking this is really getting out of hand. They get to the checkout, and they always start sniffing the packs of gum.
Richard Wrynn I think a national registry of service animals would make sense so someone could prove it but, until then, there’s nothing to be done.
Yeah my mom doesn’t care and it kind of bugs me. She will just go into Walmart with her ESA but it’s not a service animal so she’s not supposed to do that.
Congrats on the 10k. Another great piece of videography art from the Munch!! Good content, positive disposition and amazing editing! Keep up the good work!!!
Tom Talarico Thank you so much, you’re so kind!
Hello! I just found your channel again. 3 years ago when I started driving for Uber & Lyft - your videos brought me lots of inspiration and understanding! I lost the link to your video and couldn’t remember the channel name - but I just found yours again 😊 thank you for making them! I love rideshare driving and am just starting my own UA-cam channel. Jonathan
Im a dog owner and not allergic but I find it kind of discriminatory to tell someone with a pet allergy they legally can’t deny a ride. Like I know people who can die from being exposed that seems unfair to the driver to force them to allow a life threatening reaction.
Then stay with your passenger and wait for another driver.
It's discrimination against the passenger to deny and people would abuse it and deny because of minor allergies. But 99% of people with service animals would understand if you just said "I will die if the dog is in my car."
The allergy thing is the only part that didn't fully sit right with me - service animal or not, if the driver is going to start swelling up or something they obviously can't pick them up. But I guess it's better to have the law on the side of the person needing the service animal due to general discrimination. And I'd like to think that in instances of extreme allergies the driver would just apologise, the rider would understand, and everyone would just happily move on :P
WaistHighView Yeah, that’s what I always recommend haha
I uber and bring my service dog with me. 90% of the people are ok with it and when they are not I cancel with no charge to them. I have never had a problem with it. Nice little video.
I'm glad it's been mostly positive!!
Thank you!! Congratulations on the 10k!
TheOnlyVie Thank you!!
Had a person get in with large lab/support dog. On the way to her destination I got another ride request. I dropped off lady and her dog and went to pick up next rider and as soon as she got in she complained my car smelled like a dog and she’s allergic to pets. I told her I could cancel and they would send another driver. Rider says no it’s okay and when she was getting out at her destination, she said, “I can’t give you a good rating because yourcar smells like animals and now I’m going to have to take a Benadryl for my allergies.”
Ugh, that really sucks!
Thank you as always for a great video.
James Mannion Thank you and you’re welcome!
Very informative. I had wondered about the pet thing. Never had to Uber/Lyft because I NEVER drive impaired - I usually am the designated driver. BTW, as one of your very old time subscribers, I have found all of your vlogs special.
Mick Porter Thank you so much! And sometimes traveling you may need an uber or lyft?
Thanks for the video! Is your Kitchen green yet lol? Looking forward to more videos/streams in the future, keep up the great work!
Curtis Jordan It’s not green yet but downstairs living room is yellow! Thanks!
Congrats on hitting 10k subs. I had recently done that also. Keep up the great work and stay safe out there
Rideshare Driver Dustin Thank you! And congrats yourself!!
10K!! Congrats!
solanisrs Thanks!!
Another great video! I want to hear more about this board game though!
Thank you! Yeah, I really need to get around to that.
Thank You For Sharing This Beautiful Video Vlog
Amen!!! We have 2 companion cats and 2 service dogs. I'm 40 and completely disabled only one issue of mine is broken spine. Husband is veteran with severe PTSD. I have never brought my service dog with me tho haha. They help me and my mobility when I'm active or out and about. I'm good driving... so far!
Carol Gonzalez Yeah, I’m glad you have them to help!
I completely understand not discriminating against people bringing their pets. They’r actually a conversation piece for me when a pax comes with their fur babies. But what I don’t understand is why it’s frowned upon to deny a pax when the driver has an allergy and cannot continue to work if they have a reaction.
Melody Avanesi Denying for a pet/ESA is fine, but for a service animal is legally discrimination. I would recommend telling the pax about the allergy and they will likely cancel.
Great video, but I'd love to see it updated to include the changes to the Air Carriers Access Act that are now in place and disallow ESAs on planes (unless crated and paid for as pets). Thanks!
Although this was accurate for the most part but there are a few things you might want to add in as notes. Emotional support animals aren’t always covered by law in all states. Also, PSYCHIATRIC SERVICE DOGS AND AUTISM DOGS are NOT EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS, THEY ARE SERVICE DOGS! A service dog by definition is any dog that has been training to perform 2 or more tasks to mitigate the impact of a disability. Dogs that are trained for anxiety in the sense of agoraphobia and autism are BOTH considered disabilities.
Good points, but not all dogs for autism are service animals. Some are ESAs!
Yes but they are stating that psychiatric are service dogs. They should reword yes but psychiatric Service dogs are not emotional support animals if they are trained to help mitigate a psychiatric disability like autism.
We had that happen to us after a Tony Robbins event at like 1:00 am it was crazy didn't get a ride till like 4:00 am
Had what happen? Be denied service for a service animal?
I got fleas in my car is uber paying to remove them out my car.
To remove them, probably not, but a cleaning fee could be charged to the passenger if you're sure who it was.
Service dog will not have fleas. People with service dogs have to keep them super clean.
The ONLY animals you MUST allow in your uber is a SERVICE DOG! The rest of you dog owners are just a little too much! I see people taking their big dogs to grocery stores where there is food. It is completely disgusting especially if they go to the bathroom. Like seriously you can keep Fido at home for 1 hour I’m sure they will not miss you that much.
Zem Zem That is what I said haha
Have you ever thought about being a narrator, a podcaster, or a news anchor? You talk so well with no stuttering or mess ups. Your voice is also soothing to listen to haha. And you're cute!
I like her videos too but if you notice she does lot of editing in the form of a few seconds of talk, edit, a few seconds of talk, edit, etc. I am not sure if this is just her style or something else but you can't do that with the ideas you are suggesting. Just saying...
@@sdybas I would have to disagree. Even if she's doing multiple takes on her videos this is still impressive for her to talk throughout her videos without mispronouncing words or stuttering. Look at other youtubers they cut throughout their videos and they still mess up on takes.
itskmarvelmann I mess up so many times, I do just cut it out. A video this length has about 12 minutes of footage. But thank you!
I agree. I love her videos and of course it's not my business what her future plans may/may not be but I definitely think she could be doing something in the “big spotlight“ somewhere.
You go girl !!
Thanks!
Excellent!
Ludwig von Falkenhausen Thanks!
me and mom might take an Uber to the airport and im flying with my emotional support dog, so once we get an uber we are going to contact them right away asking if its ok that my emotional support dog rides in their car
That's the best thing to do!
I’ve had a passenger that had a 🐍 as a “support animal” 🤬
Brains before BS Yeah, they were lying, that’s an ESA at most.
this is something I thought of when I wondered if you had to take your pet to the vet, but you had no car or transportation. I'm guessing caged animals are ok, I used to take my pet rats on the bus to the vet.
I think a lot of drivers would accept that, but it's case-by-case.
thnkssss
Anytime!
I have a blanket in the trunk for dogs and I will only take other animals when in a cage.
Your Personal Driver Yeah I also keep a blanket for that!
Emotional support animal is not a service animal if you read ADA law it says that emotional support animals are not service animals so they're not allowed in public like restaurants malls hospitals taxi cabs Uber Lyft
Robert Silva Yes, that is quite literally explained in the video.
since drivers are using their personal cars and uber and lyft insist on transporting service pets they should pay extra for cleaning cost dirt and pet hair other customers have to ride and dont want to have pet hair on them and what about other riders allergies from pets
legit bee Yeahhh, that’s not how discrimination laws work.
Service animals are not pets, they are legal medical equipment.
I'm sorry no animal is getting into my car.
Then you should not be a driver.
@@munchkym Or stop being a snowflake. Maybe get your own car then you can have all the fleas to yourself.
@@nikanika4003 Not all animals have fleas 😂 ignorance is such a toxic thing
@@adrianvargas2261 Well maybe you drive for yourself and let all the animals in your vehicle? I'm not😉
@@nikanika4003 You absolutely have all the right to let animals in or not. But assuming all animals have fleas is just an out right ridiculous thing to say.
Are emotional dog allowed in stores ?
Not if it has anything to do with food. Like restaurants.. for health concerns
Minx Fur thanks
No they are not, only service animals.
Have you ever heard of somebody driving and have someone with them to interpret
David Johnston No but this would definitely not be allowed. Bringing another person is a huge security risk.
When I discriminate I make it a rule not to tell anybody that I'm discriminating.
lostintime86 Maybe you should just not discriminate.
@@munchkym everyone discriminates. it's human nature. I don't make the rules. If one forms an opinion about another and acts on that opinion, that is discrimination.
I have yet to deny passenger with their pet I've had a snake a lizard and a cat had and numerous dogs I have no problem with it................
Robert Andrews Wow! Lots of pets!
I decided about 10 rides because people wanted their dog in my car. I tell them if you can keep it on your laps I’ll give a ride, so really small dogs ok. I will rate them one star so I don’t get them again. When I refuse to pick them up I tell them make sure Text your driver asking if it’s ok to bring my dog? So your not wasting everyone’s time. I obviously don’t care if I get deactivated.
Ideas To Life If it’s a service animal you really need to accept any size. But yeah only having small dogs is reasonable!
No one talks about drivers with service animal. Because riders give rating because drivers buddy sitting on the front seat and showing teeth.
Joey George It’s super rare and a service animal would not act that way.
I’m happy with just Uber eats, least amount of drama!
Cloudy Cookie Makes sense! I hate doing EATS haha
munchkym Food doesn’t want to stop and get beer or cigarettes while then leaving trash in my car after a trip. Best part I can crank my Pandora as loud as I like with no complaints from the passenger. Lol...I love running eats! I enjoy your channel, be safe✌️😬👍
What happened to your painting video?
Jackie Rose Online You mean my livestreams? They’re up, just unlisted! You can access the links on my Twitter! :)
@@munchkym oh I thought something happened lol! I didn't realize it was a livestream or i knew and I forgot. Thx for responding :) as always.
Jackie Rose Online Of course! :)
Honestly these comments are hilarious. I can’t believe how many people are repeating or asking about things you said in the video. LMFAO.
Yeahhhh, sometimes it be like that haha
Anytime dog takes a poop in your car Samira put it on UA-cam so I can watch and clean up the poop
Okay this has to be a fetish thing
Food deliver.
No, I prefer human delivery.
Do you door dash
I don't.
Emotional support animals are more important than people claim. I don't believe they can legally be denied. I would need reliable proof of this.
You mentioned a driver having a pet and possibility of passengers being allergic, but not vice~versa.
You only said drivers can be deactivated by not allowing pets 'in their vehicle' ~ which is ridiculous.
If/when I become a driver I would never have a pet with me but would always allow them in my vehicle. Depending on my vehicle, I may require something on the seat(s) or even carry something myself. However, there's also a problem with allowing pets in a ride share vehicle. A future passenger may be allergic and scent/dander from a pet may still be lingering in the vehicle. Being in a vehicle in such a situation isn't like being in a building.
So... I jumped into your previous live ~ congrats on your house! ...which I know simply from the layout is definitely a split level. Such homes, the lower level is always meant as being similar to a basement, but isn't. Thus, the upstairs 'living room sized' room/area is exactly that, a living room. I have a relative as well as a friend that used to live in a split level. The layout of yours is very different than they usually are ~ or at least what I'm used to seeing. I like your idea of having the downstairs room sectioned or having a wall installed and having an office down there. But why a four bedroom if it's just you?
I take my emotional support dinosaur Everywhere I Go.
Emotional support animals are important, but not legally protected outside of the two instances I mentioned. If a driver is allergic, they still cannot deny a service animal. I recommend telling the passenger about the allergy and they will probably cancel.
I have a 4 bedroom because equity and roommates that help pay mortgage.
That's the problem... emotional support animals need to be protected (more than they are). It's simply wrong for Uber/Lyft (and the like) drivers to have to allow them. It'd be best to protect emotional support as well as service dogs. Any passenger informed by a driver that they're allergic could possibly result in the passenger reporting it ~ which may not end well for a driver. Any driver could easily just say they're allergic just to avoid having a pet in their vehicle. However, if a company had drivers inform them of their allergy, or even refusal to have others pet(s) in their vehicle, then it'd be that much better for a driver to inform a passenger that no pets are allowed in their vehicle. It could even be programmed into the app.
Ahh... maybe I didn't hear you mention roommates during your previous live.
Another difference with split levels I've seen layouts of and have been in is they're usually three bedroom.
@@BrianJoslyn it's the lack of training that is the core problem for ESAs and public access. If they really need/want to take them somewhere to mitigate their disablity, all they have to do is train them (especially with tasks to mitigate their disability) and now they have a Service Dog instead of an ESA (and do have public access). ESAs are effectively just pets that disabled people are allowed to have in housing (and currently on planes but that may be changing soon). Train them, and you now have a Service Animal (that will be safe for public access).
You caN ALWAYS COVER THE SEAT WITH A LARGE ANIMAL COVER THAT CAN BE BOUGHT ON AMAZON, PET SMART, PETCO AND OTHER PLACES.
ELAYNE TENNANT True!
I want a bearded dragon as a esa. Because of allergy.
I would do a drive by if i was a driver and saw a dog
Linda Svalesen If you drive by and cancel due to a dog, that’s discrimination if it’s a service animal
@@munchkym i know. But thank goodness i dont drive. Its all about respect for other people with me. Like that i dont smoke before i get in the same car as a pregnant woman. Just an example.
If someone gets in like her with a service animal and they leave hair and dandruff can I charge a clean-up fee
nope
You CAN charge a cleanup fee on service animals, yes!
You can request it from Uber/Lyft (send pics, as usual). If they deem it is enough, they'll give it to you (the rider likely won't be charged it, unless it's really excessive, but you'll still get it from Uber/Lyft).
I think it's really fun you guys think you can pick and choose who you can take and who you can't Uber says petsa find shut up and take the animals and clean up the poop you know you deserve it
Your stupid our vehicle our choice , we have every right to discriminate, fuck yall who dont respect someone elses property
...what is it with you and poop?
Nice wig
Tim siniff Uhh not a wig
@@munchkym I know wigs. That's a wig.
@@tims456456 Apparently you do not know wigs.
@@munchkym Apparently that's been stirring around on your head for the last 3 months. lol
@@munchkym You are a genius of rakontur (rak on tur'), which is a good thing. So let's give the wig thing a rest.
You are so pretty!
Pedro Olvera Thanks!
As a guide dog user with a guide dog from one of the largest guide dog schools in America, I can’t stand when drivers, aware of the rules about accepting our dog in your car while driving for these services, choose to take the job for the money and not cooperate with the terms of service. If you are not going to except the terms of service, you are not entitled to the job. I am not sympathetic to any reasoning. It’s the terms of service of the job that you claimed to except as a driver.
James Mannion Definitely! It is discrimination and not okay!
It’s funny, I repossess a lot of Uber driver cars......and I mean a lot. They are some of the most filthy cars i come across and they always stink like weed. I would rather a service dog give birth to a litter of puppies in my car than even sit in most Uber cars I see.
Philly Repo Perhaps those ones are repossessed because they stopped driving so they were dirty cause of that? I’ve only ever gotten in one dirty lyft/uber and I have taken many when traveling.
I want marry you
No.
People and their emotional support animals are truly pathetic. We have become such a bunch of pansies in this country. Seizures and being blind are totally different situations. I support working service animals for real medical issues.
FeeedMe This is a really inconsiderate view of the world. Emotional support animals are quite valuable for people with real mental illnesses.
Pathetic are the people that arent willing to see the world in different ways
