Let's JUDGE you first. Your sweet, endearing spirit is infectious. Your actual skills are understated = classy and very elegant. This has been the best makeover I've seen in awhile. Thanks for sharing your passion.
@tobytopz How do you know the person who said judge is even American? You're a hater. I think they were trying to nicely compliment Studio Ploy and maybe English isn't their first language or they used a translation app. Use your brain next time me, don't be so mean and stop insulting Americans. You hate us because you can't be us.
You did an amazing job. When I got into my senior housing apartment complex, studio apartment, I also did mid century modern. I'm an Artist, BA in Art Secondary Education, but I also studied Interior Design at FIT. I was lucky cause there is a separate room with a small kitchen. I also looked up mid century modern art designs, and created my own art work to hang over my couch with chaise. My Asian black lacquer cabinet I brought from my old house, I put opposite my couch. On top I put the ginger jar lamp I brought with me. The director of the office of aging said, I needed a screen to separate the living room area from the bed area. She was nice enough to get me an Asian 4 panel screen. It's woven brown mesh with four decorative Asian designs in center of screen. Because of that I had to have someone make me a tv stand that was low to the ground, so tv wouldn't hide the decorative panels. We are not allowed to put tv on walls. I was able to extend the kitchen by putting in the entryway a utility kitchen cart, and a butcher block cart with two shelves and draws I got from IKEA. I can chopped all my veggies on there, as the kitchen doesn't have allot of counter space. I brought my double size Temper Pedic bed I had at house. There is no room for a queen size bed. Luckily there is a small hallway leading to the bathroom with a double size closet on either side. There is also small closet in entryway I use to store paper towels, toilet paper and Kleenex, as well as swiffer pads. In the entryway above the carts, I found some fabric with mid century modern design. Michaels had a big canvas, so I was able to use a staple gun and mod podge to put fabric on canvas. I used a yard and a half of fabric. That's a great way to make art work for your wall, using fabric. I wanted something Asian to hang above my cabinet. When I was down in Chinatown at Pearl River Mart, I found some wrapping paper with cherry blossoms design with different color backgrounds. I chose the pink background color. Dollar Tree had some small canvas, so got two and glued paper on them. I was watching what you did in Kitchen but, wondered where the stove was. How does she cook?.
The most elegant, functional, stylish, and affordable makeover for small space living I have seen! Love how there is room for guests, a feel of high ceilings and a decent kitchen with a space to eat.
@@SuperCinca A small electric range/oven (20" wide) with four electric elements could be added. I had one in a tiny 600 sq. ft. 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment and called it my Easybake oven. Literally, a 15 lb. (7 kg.) turkey barely fit in that thing. But it worked! Another option is a Cuisinart toaster oven where it can be used to heat up food, roast a chicken or bake up to six muffins or a small cake. Living in a large city with loads of takeout choices, cooking from scratch might not be necessary.
Hi, simply exquisite and creative! You truly have done an amazing job ! I'd like to contact you and execute a similar plan/job like the one you've shown above. Thank you!
First time viewer. I want to say how in love I am with your work and talent. Your attention to detail (drapes to conceal the a/c, wall covering in the bedroom area, personalized monochromatic gallery wall) are delightful. The glass divider is stunning! Really appreciate how you maximized the light - light is vital to me for my mood. I wonder how the glass divider would look with frosted film on the bottom panels to conceal the bed a bit more. Now off to explore your other videos. 🥰
The redesign is great and adding frosted vinyl to the lower glass panes is a great idea. I was also thinking I would switch the microwave and basket so they wouldn't have to bend so far to use the microwave. Also maybe cleaning the mirrors and glass.

Really great to actually see how the objects are assembled or made in a small space makeover video; most makeover video skip over that. I admire you for making this beautiful space happen despite COVID restrictions and delays.
You have taken a bare bones unit and turned it into a welcoming tiny home. And I love the design touches like the artwork, gallery wall, mirror tile wall and wall treatments that bring character to the space. And you do it all with an eye to budget and functionality at the same time.
What a fabulous job! I learned how IKEA furniture can add value. How curtains can add a quality look. This was beautifully done. You have huge talent and are going far. Thank you for the video. ❤🎉🎊🎏🥇🏆💎
You’ve taken a boring tiny space and created a beautiful soothing light filled sanctuary! Wow!! Just incredible! This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen and I enjoyed every minute… fabulous!
So Beautiful! Noone will notice the size of this home because each detail of your designing and decorating is so huge. Love It! Your Client has a lovely and livable home!
I always remove my outlet covers and mask the outlet so I don’t have brush marks. Sanding the wall before painting will give you a very fine finish as well. Superb makeover, final product looks great!

Wow.....Just AMAZING. Your detail to design, color, accents, space, durability and function, in such a small space, is truly AMAZING. You have shown no matter the size, width or layout, of a condo, studio or apartment, it can still be styled and designed, with a well, thought out plan, that is creative, functional and beautiful. Very inspiring.
Stunning design. Great that you made it affordable & not crazy. Every item is functional. Great glass partition, which at 1st I thought I wouldn't like, but love it - it really separates the zones. Only exception I'd make for myself is have the lower 1/6th or 1/3 of the partition made of wood panels for safety & ease of cleaning. I like how the panel theme is reflected in the partition, the mirrors & the set of framed photos on the wall. Thank you for sharing.
You've done amazing work! You truly optimized the space while making it beautiful. From the smallest details like changing the hardware on the closet and the shiplap the bathroom, to the bigger design choices like the glass divider, every choice elevated the space but still was functional. This apartment was a challenge because of its size and you blew it out of the water! Very talented.
This definitely entailed a lot of hard work and was made more complex by pandemic restrictions and the bed delivery error. I really like a number of things about this makeover, for example, the mirrored wall, the use of contact paper/peel and stick on the one wall, the glass divider (which echoes the mirror squares), the dining table & chairs, and the glass shower divider. I have one major issue with many studio tours and makeovers, something I see time and again. The question for the client should always be, "Do you want your studio to look like a home, or to look like a hotel room?" If they want an upscale hotel room, then you nailed it, 1000%. If they want it to look like a home then there should not be a bed visible in the space, even partially obscured, in my opinion. Using a sofa bed, a daybed, a futon, or a Murphy bed makes the room look more like a typical living room during the day and creates a lot of extra floor space. This is important even for me (I live in a 500 sq ft/46sq m studio, which I currently share with my dog and previously also shared with my teen) but is critical in a unit half this size! I would have used a high quality sofa bed placed facing the vanity/TV area. I might have moved the glass divider a couple of feet closer to the kitchenette, and then placed the table and chairs where you had the sofa. The place would look much larger instantly. All in all, however, you did a good job and I trust the client was pleased.
There is really no such thing as a very comfortable sofa bed. A Murphy bed with fold-down table on the front is much more comfortable multipurpose furniture, and can have storage built in as well.
@@JayScott-yn7ch most sofa beds that I’ve encountered are at least relatively comfortable, some very much so (especially the one I tried with a memory foam mattress). I have no experience with Murphy beds, so can’t provide my perspective on that (though they make attractive, efficient use of space). Futons, on the other hand, seem to be universally uncomfortable, hard as rocks and don’t seem to change over time. I’ve had enough bad experiences with futons that I won’t even try one again. I actually find it fairly difficult to find a regular mattress soft enough to not give me a back ache while firm enough to retain its shape well. (I’m missing a piece in my back and have rather specific requirements as a result.) Oddly enough, I find sofa beds more conducive to comfortable sleep. But, when it comes to the pure appearance of a space (without consideration of preference for sleeping), there is no question in my mind that a studio without a visible bed simply looks more like a permanent home.
I absolutely love what you did to this studio apartment. It has to be one of the best makeovers I've ever seen. Just found your channel yesterday, and now I'm a huge fan!
This is a lovely space. I can imagine coming home to this place after a tiring work day and it would immediately lighten up my mood and I’d feel refreshed! Now, I’m excited for my condo unit’s makeover too! 🤩
Stunningly seamless redo -bravo! I am a minimalist and this knocked me off my feet. So into Scandinavian design movement, similar to this: functionality, minimalism & simplicity -you got this 3! Also Valkommen IKEA Phil's.
Was kicked out from Architecture but seems like I became more interested in interior designing; Your video is very aspiring. I never thought I'd ever cry by watching a passionate person do his job. Maybe I was overwhelmed since some words and jargons are familiar to me. Oh, the words of wisdom you say I can live my life with... Thank you so much!
beautiful!! I used to live in a 23sqm studio and the layout was very similar to this one. I even had the same vanity shelf with drawers from Ikea in exactly the same spot xD This makes me miss that flat so much
Absolutely adore your design and how you manage to fit everything in a very tiny space and yet you were able to make a very cozy feel to it ......well done !!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful. Everything about it is awesome. Especially LOVE the room divider. The BATHROOM IS unbelievably beautiful. I would have loved the shower door to look like the room divider have made the area too cramped looking so frameless was the best choice. I’ve gone nuts over that style & probably would overuse it! Lol. It’s not cute, it’s luxurious and beautiful. One would never dream it would take months of planning but design includes so much, like construction, planning and ordering everything people don’t think about. It is so very nice, and even though it’s small, it’s still homey & everything one needs to live comfortably without feeling like you’re in a hotel room. . Great job.
This is so well done! Your editing is the perfect balance of lots of detail and great overall coverage. I didn’t have to stop, rewind to see something again. You nailed it! Lighting, and audio were great too. Thank you, I look forward to checking out your other content.
This make over is amazing. The only thing I was thinking is that the headboard partially blocks light from the window and the bed could have actually benefitted from having a daybed styling effect, with a headboard type piece and pillows against the wall, especially since the tv was directly opposite the bed. Also, that would have allowed you to center the painting.
You really DOUBLED the space with the mirror wall and give this tiny apartment much needed space, great idea! ❤ The entrance gives an elevated sensation of warm elegance too. I've modified some other things, like the bedroom area, but all in all, you did a great job. Congratulations 👏🎉
I love the passion that you have for design! The effort and energy you put in was amazing!!! I love how you set everything up! The small details of even the brass, or the painting! You’re honestly amazing!!!
I’m not the kind of person who drop comments here & there much really. But after seeing this, I feel like I have to say something. Wow. You worked really hard despite the many challenges you’re facing to makeover this studio unit. It’s so inspiring. Not to mention, you’re very creative. Not only in terms of art & design but also in your decision making. Idk about others but if I am your client, I’d be happy to put my full trust in you. The studio looks extra warm, cosy, more inviting & feels homey now compared to the cold & hospital vibe it’s giving before. I’m in love with this midcentury modern look. Glad you’re sharing this for us to see. Keep doing what you’re doing with that passion of yours. 💪🏻 Love from Malaysia. ❤
You did such a great amazing job with such a tiny awkward space! I'm shocked they allowed you to make so many permanent changes to the apartment! so beautiful! They delays and building furniture alone would have put tears in my eyes lol oh yea and thanks for taking the time to translate so much more enjoyable!
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great job. Having said that, I use live in a tiny apartment similar to this one, & I decided to use a Murphy wall bed that I could close during the day to offer more space to utilize. Furthermore, the bathroom looks great, however, I would have used nice baskets on the shelves in order to put away the hair-dryer, make-up, toiletries, toilet paper etc. since the sink doesn't offer drawers.
Thank you! 🤍 Murphy bed is a nice idea, I’m waiting for the right project and owner for it… For the bathroom yes baskets are one of the nice solution and accesories for the shelves… I actually dicussed it on a separate video for the bathroom that I just reallocate the budget for a certain item to upgrade it and adding some other items will be beyond the budget already… even the towels are just placeholders and are my personal stuff, hehe…
I really love your design. I just bought a 28sqm condo here in Cebu and I am planning to design it by myself. This video inspired me and gave me some ideas on how to make it look spacious and classy at the same time. I will be occupying it and have it rented in the future.
What a well put together video. You showed every “necessary” part of the reno. I must say, that I originally baulked at the 30mins! However, it was thoroughly worth my time and thus I have subscribed. Well done & Thank you. You are an “all-rounder” (painting, drilling, decorating) 😊 A rare find!
Beautiful makeover. You could still put a wall mounted tv on the wall next to the utility cart. That way you would have a lounge area to watch movies and when it’s not in use, you could load up artworks. I love the mirrored wall. Thank you 😊
Wow! I’m not sure how I stumbled upon your channel, but I’m so glad to have found you. This transformation was simply perfect! I absolutely loved every single thing you did! You love what you do and it truly shows…
I really like this kind of makeover videos, where you show before pictures and thoroughly explain what you've done to improve the space. Kudos! I believe you deserve more views and subscribers.
Congrats to your one-man job again. I'm so envious of how you do it all by yourself, with all your equipments, tools and all. May I just ask where you got those mirror tiles from? It would be of great use to the concept I have for my tiny apartment.
This came out beautifully! 😍 Only thing I'd change, would be having the 1st 4 columns of the divider as mirrors & the rest, as is. Just a personal preference of liking my sleeping area more private, but there'd still be light coming thru at the top.
This studio makeover is gorgeous and you are EPICALLY TALENTED - loved what you did and your presentation style - friendly, informative, full of ideas and you are so warm and engaging. I have of course subscribed. Can wait to see more of your work !!!
This makeover is amazing! You achieved so much in a tiny space! Love the mirror wall and how defined the spaces are. I only wonder why there is no stove 😂
I don't think this building is hardwired for a cooking surface. I didn't see any hook ups (outlets) in the kitchen for a traditional stove/oven combo. I watched another one of his videos for a one bedroom decor and it looked like it was in the same building. That unit didn't have a stove either. Only a two-burner hot plate cooktop that he brought in from a store. Maybe that's the thing in the Philippines.
TV is not in good location. It should be on the wall by the tables chairs dining. U can use the wall in the bedroom for PC office. U could have put more cabinet storage.
All you need is a good window cleaning for the living room, but I love how you are able to use your hands to make that apartment your own. It looks amazing. Good luck to you.
Hello watching your videos for the first time. You really are a very creative and talented guy. Bravo and hats off to what you have done in this studio. You have literally doubled the visual space. Well done
As Designer myself, kudos to you. A very practical yet elegant makeover. The only change I'd suggest is moving the microwave to the middle shelf. The bottom one is not convenient and open to catching debris from the floor.
Such a nice idea of using shoe cabinet as a documents storage! For the shoes I prefer to see them all and to keep them on horisontal shelves. Also four boxes is not enough for us personally. But for this studio it's a good option! Anyways, I'm so inspired how good for papers this vertical storage fits, very convenient. Thanks!
Beautiful job and congratulations - how frustrating to deal with ineffectual merchants when you’ve gone to them to save money in the first place! A million percent better!!! You’ve really created a lovely and functional place to live out of the most dreary and ordinary. Clearly you have an exacting eye.
I'm excited to share that I'm planning to launch a staycation business soon! I've been watching some amazing content for inspiration, and I absolutely love what I've seen so far. It's given me great ideas on how to create a unique and relaxing experience for guests.
It's very very nice. I like it a lot. There are just a few details. Cleaning the mirrors. Making the different shades of white match. White and beige combinations usually don't do well together. Chairs without arm rests so it's easier to get in the one on the right side. The bed against the wall and a small night stand on the wall. A different type of rug, more rustic, since it's going to be step on a lot. Or just avoid the rug all together. And a bed with drawers on the side for easier access.
I really don't like Mid century Modern, but I have a hose with this style and what you have done here is exquisite. Your styling is a life-saver to me. Excellent job.
You are so very talented and have absolutely gorgeous taste. Please consider incorporating a Murphy bed on one of your projects. The amount of space that it would open up would be tremendous.
I am very impressed, dear friend, how simply and budget-wise you built your apartment with very good taste, thank you very much for the ideas and God grant such a husband to every woman. 👍
Great job!! A few things I would have added/ changed: White Fridge, Frosted Glass for the Room Divider, Baskets on top of the Closet for extra storage, more Cabinets above the fridge.
Your passion & labor of love always shines with each project. God bless!
Thank you! 🤍😊
There's only one thing that i disliked here- the rug is too small!

What talent you have! The entryway makes for an enchanting introduction to the dwelling.
I absolutely love what you did to this studio apartment. It has to be one of the best makeovers I've ever seen. Just found your channel yesterday, and now I'm a huge fan!
Thank you so much, Lorna!! 🤍😊

Wow, thank you Anne!🤍😊
Was kicked out from Architecture but seems like I became more interested in interior designing; Your video is very aspiring. I never thought I'd ever cry by watching a passionate person do his job. Maybe I was overwhelmed since some words and jargons are familiar to me. Oh, the words of wisdom you say I can live my life with... Thank you so much!
beautiful!! I used to live in a 23sqm studio and the layout was very similar to this one. I even had the same vanity shelf with drawers from Ikea in exactly the same spot xD This makes me miss that flat so much
Thank you! Glad tou like it! 🤍😊
Loved it! Most impressed with you doing everything yourself.
Thank you!😊

You did such a good job incorporating dining, living and sleeping areas in such a small space! It's still looks airy and clean, love it.
Absolutely adore your design and how you manage to fit everything in a very tiny space and yet you were able to make a very cozy feel to it ......well done !!!!!!
Thank you so much Donalain!😊
Thank you very much Cheryl!🤍😊
This make over is amazing. The only thing I was thinking is that the headboard partially blocks light from the window and the bed could have actually benefitted from having a daybed styling effect, with a headboard type piece and pillows against the wall, especially since the tv was directly opposite the bed. Also, that would have allowed you to center the painting.
You really DOUBLED the space with the mirror wall and give this tiny apartment much needed space, great idea! ❤
The entrance gives an elevated sensation of warm elegance too.
I've modified some other things, like the bedroom area, but all in all, you did a great job. Congratulations 👏🎉
Thank you, Claudia!! 🤍😊
I was in awe watching this!! You have such a gift to transform small spaces ✨
Thank you so much Nik!🤍😊
@@minixmuffin88 Aww, thank you so much! 🤍🤗
Wow I enjoyed every minute of this video! The results of this makeover is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you so much CrystalA! 😊
You did such a great amazing job with such a tiny awkward space! I'm shocked they allowed you to make so many permanent changes to the apartment! so beautiful! They delays and building furniture alone would have put tears in my eyes lol oh yea and thanks for taking the time to translate so much more enjoyable!
I luv the clean, simple but elegant look of this apartment. So beautiful. Glad the owner luv it too. Thanks for sharing the video with us.
Thank you too! 😊
Where did u get that murphy wall?
@@millennialinmanila5621
MURPHY BED DARLING.
I really love your design. I just bought a 28sqm condo here in Cebu and I am planning to design it by myself. This video inspired me and gave me some ideas on how to make it look spacious and classy at the same time. I will be occupying it and have it rented in the future.
Thank you Jezel Glad you like it! Congrats on your new condo!🤍😊
I'm a huge fan of your designs esp when you make your own art piece and actually hanging it in the space!!
I love watching you videos, your design aesthetic and that you utilize budget friendly decor! Can’t wait for more videos!
Thank you so much, Melanie! 🤍
Thank you so much Suyin!🤍😊
Congratulations! It’s amazing, almost like a master’s thesis on home staging! I really enjoyed spending those minutes watching it
An amazing transformation! You are so talented and great in what you do, keep it up! 👏👏
Thank you so much Phoebe! 🤍😊
Congrats to your one-man job again. I'm so envious of how you do it all by yourself, with all your equipments, tools and all. May I just ask where you got those mirror tiles from? It would be of great use to the concept I have for my tiny apartment.
Thank you so much Me-ann! 😊
I couldn't stop my tears when you showed the reveal. It was so beautiful. Your work is amazing.
Thank you so much Shaira! 🤍🥰
New to your channel as I love watching makeovers and I want you to know you’re amazing! Good job! 👏🏼
Thank you so much MAELIFESKYGIRL! 😊
This came out beautifully! 😍 Only thing I'd change, would be having the 1st 4 columns of the divider as mirrors & the rest, as is. Just a personal preference of liking my sleeping area more private, but there'd still be light coming thru at the top.
That’s a great suggestion
@@Noname-vu1om Thanks!
Love, love the division of the bedroom. Totally looks like a different room beyond.
This studio makeover is gorgeous and you are EPICALLY TALENTED - loved what you did and your presentation style - friendly, informative, full of ideas and you are so warm and engaging. I have of course subscribed. Can wait to see more of your work !!!
Thank you so much Lara!!🤍😊
This makeover is amazing! You achieved so much in a tiny space! Love the mirror wall and how defined the spaces are.
I only wonder why there is no stove 😂
Same! Lots of takeaway 😁
Beautiful renovation! I love that you include your own artwork in your jobs. The mirrors were a game changer!
TV is not in good location. It should be on the wall by the tables chairs dining. U can use the wall in the bedroom for PC office. U could have put more cabinet storage.
Oh stop complaining
@@summerluv.n OH MAKING IT RIGHT!
All you need is a good window cleaning for the living room, but I love how you are able to use your hands to make that apartment your own. It looks amazing. Good luck to you.
Im surely addicted to makeover videos, and have seen thousands so far. I swear putting my foot down, this was the most amazing one ever. ❤️
Wow, thank you Ashani! 🤍
One of the best room dividers I've ever seen! I love this whole vibe- except the sofa not facing the TV.
Hello watching your videos for the first time. You really are a very creative and talented guy. Bravo and hats off to what you have done in this studio. You have literally doubled the visual space. Well done
What an absolutely breathtaking transformation!!! I looooooove how you incorporated the mirrors to expand the unit!! Light comfy and airy indeed!
Thank you so much! 🤍😊
The mirrored wall is stunning! It makes the place look and feel almost twice it's size. You gave given me some clever ideas. Thanks! 🥰💝💞
Thanks so much! 😊
Apart from penting i love everything...good work
What a great transformation… THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR MAGNIFICENT WORK❤
As Designer myself, kudos to you. A very practical yet elegant makeover. The only change I'd suggest is moving the microwave to the middle shelf. The bottom one is not convenient and open to catching debris from the floor.
Thank you! 🤍😊
Потрясающе. У мужчины отличный вкус и чувство гармонии
Thank you! 😊
Simply gorgeous!!! You are amazing, I love the wall with mirrors gave an extra "space", and looks terrific.
Your passion mirrors the amazing condo makeover. Love every inch of the space you have created. Simply beautiful and looks pretty cozy as well.

I'm excited to share that I'm planning to launch a staycation business soon! I've been watching some amazing content for inspiration, and I absolutely love what I've seen so far. It's given me great ideas on how to create a unique and relaxing experience for guests.
wow , excelente ,quedo genial !!!
Mr. Ploy, I love your one-of-a-kind geographic modern painted canvas art!
Thank you, Daryl! 😊

Great job. I would have asked for 2 wall hugging recliners, if they could fit ....but client wanted a loveseat. Beautiful..
Great job!! A few things I would have added/ changed: White Fridge, Frosted Glass for the Room Divider, Baskets on top of the Closet for extra storage, more Cabinets above the fridge.
I enjoyed watching how you organized the reno of this tiny space. Thank you!
