  • Welcome to Guangzhou, China. Guangzhou is a massive city, which usually is not our favourite place to be.. but, we particularly love Guanhzhou, because it has great food, friendly people and for a big city it feels pretty laid back.

This video is definitely fake, I saw the United States and other Western countries media, Taiwan media and other reports of China's mother flooding, many people's homes are gone, countless deaths, the country is crying, a depression, and even many Internet celebrities in Taiwan are saying that many DAMS in China are about to burst, the Chinese people are all in the water, but you are thriving here. So this video must be fake, you must be in Taiwan province?

I am an American that moved to Guangzhou China in 2000. I taught English at a very prestigious school, and that is where I met my wonderful Chinese wife. We ended up opening our own business and raising our child there. I brought my family to the United States a year ago. We are already making plans to return to China. The people of China are such wonderful, caring, compassionate, and sharing people. Yes, I am so happy that you are showing the real China. Chinese people love everything that is American, and very much enjoy visiting the United States. I encourage anyone that wants to see the real China to visit Guangzhou and the neighboring town of Foshan where we actually had our home in business. There’s no need to worry about a language barrier. English is everywhere and writing. The metro is a snap. We look forward to returning to our Chinese home.

The differences in ideologies mainly stem from the ruling parties of countries rather than the common people. The vast majority of people pursue a stable and happy life.
If the above issues are ignored, one can indeed enjoy a nice life here. Especially in terms of safety. The vast majority of Chinese people have a gentle personality (compared to Western people who pursue individual rights and emphasize free will more). They are more willing to sacrifice for the collective and suppress their own personalities.
This also builds the overall stability and harmony of Chinese society. If you live here, you will experience a peaceful and quiet life.

The white building in ur the Baietan Greater Bay Area Art Center, displaying the modern art and stories of Guangzhou. For traditional Guangzhou stories, you may visit the Five Goats Sculpture and Zhenhai Tower in Yuexiu Park. For the story of the king, you may visit the Museum of the Nanyue King. For economic stories, you may visit exhibitions, such as the animation and game exhibition at the Poly World Trade Expo Center starting on July 19. For cultural stories, you may visit the Guangzhou New Cultural Center, where you can make an appointment to participate in cultural handicraft classes for free. Finally, the night view of Huacheng Square is the most beautiful night view in Guangzhou, so don't miss it.

Try to visit Guangdong to help them out as they have been devastated with flooding a couple of months back and so much foreign investment have pulled out of China that they are hurting economically. Direct Foreign Investment was $33 BILLION in 2023, a 30-year low when the high was $344 BILLION in 2021. It is quite bleak for the every day workers there. Any bad news have been erased from Weibo and any Chinese social media. You will notice that there is an EXPOLSION of UA-camrs visiting China. This is because foreign visitors to China are down some 65% compared to 2019. This is why China has these short-term Visa-free entry into China as they are desparate for foreign currency to prop up their collapsing economy.

Hi guys, iron carving is an ancient Chinese art form dated back to around 3,000 BCE. I think the West was influenced by China because China has mastery of producing cast iron as early as 5th century BC, which is about 1900 years earlier than the Europe.

Yet, on the carving itself in the video, to me the style does not look like a "pure" Chinese style, I can get some European "feeling" from it. Such fusion on arts in Guangzhou (Canton ) is quite common seen. I would agree with Luke that this is a good sample to show that some proper fusion of the western culture and eastern culture could brings an artwork to a next level.

There are more than twice as many mosques in Xinjiang, China, as there are in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France combined. Is there any value in constantly hyping up the issue of mosques in Xinjiang?

Vivian is a fantastic tour guide. She led you to touch some deep root of Chinese culture, including architecture, art, education and religion. Majority of tourists are just interested in the most unique or famous spots of a city, but you are lucky to see and learn way more than most domestic and foreign tourists. BTW religion freedom is written in our Constitution, so you could not only see Buddhism temples, Catholic churches, but also Islamic mosques and even other minor religious sites in China(of course the numbers varies in different provinces and districts), so obvious western media tells a lot of lies about China, you need to visit this countries actually to find the truth.

4:01 It is Chicken Biscuit. But it is not made with chicken. It is made with lard. The lard brings crispy and crunchy texture.
Why it is called Chicken Biscuit? The inventor of this biscuit was a girl called Xiaofeng, which means little phoenix. Thus they named this biscuit as Xiaofeng Biscuit (which means little phoenix biscuit in Chinese), and used a little phoenix as their logo. However the little phoenix logo on the package of the biscuits was too frequently recognized as chicken by mistake. People probably didn't remember its name but still remembered the "chicken" logo. Finally everybody accepted it as chicken biscuit, though it has nothing to do with chicken.

To be honest, I have watched a lot of videos about foreigners traveling in China, only this couple with basic respect for China, without saying "I thought there was something wrong with China, I didn't expect China to be so good." I feel that the bloggers who say such things are biased against China before they come here and feel that it is not so good, so the expectations are also low. Nor have they always emphasized how much they like China, to make a comparison, "China is good in a certain aspect, and a certain country is bad in this aspect." . This is very good, foreigners do not need to love this country, as long as they break the prejudice, harvest a wonderful journey, and will share with their family and friends to introduce China, it is enough.

Chinese culture is very inclusive. There are approximately 23.05 million Christians in China, more than 37,000 pastoral and missionary personnel, and more than 25,000 churches. There are approximately 45,000 mosques in China. The number of local mosques in Xinjiang has increased significantly in the past decade, with a density as high as one mosque for every 530 people, twice that of Turkey. The absolute number ranks second in the world. But Western media says China is massacring Muslims in Xinjiang.

These countries are good and comfortable enough for the locals, but can never be enough for immigrants, especially when talking about China as you have shown in the video. I think this is at least one of the reasons for not seeing many immigrants from relatively well-developed Asian countries such as Singapore, Japan, and South Korea. The same thing is gradually happening to the Chinese as well.

They are straightforward and speak their mind directly, never being vague or biased. For such self-thinking people, once they find out that they have been deceived by the Western media (government), it is very easy for their understanding of China to shift from one extreme to the other. I hope they have good food, drink and fun in China.

"The Chen Family Ancestral Hall, also known as the "Chen Family Academy", was planned in 1888 and completed in 1893. It is a "clan ancestral hall" jointly donated by Chen clans from all over Guangdong Province. It provides temporary accommodation for Chen clan children to go to the provincial capital to prepare for the imperial examination, wait for office, pay taxes, and handle litigation. (Baidu)" In layman's terms, it is a reception center built in the provincial capital by Chen clans from all over Guangdong. Its biggest attraction is the "gray sculpture"

I personally highly recommend 潮汕牛肉火锅 (Chaoshan beef hot pot) if you travel around Canton area. This hot pot is not spicy at all but with the beef bone broth in it. The bone broth is super good as soups, and the restaurant usually provides all kinds of beef that comes from different parts of a cattle. Those beef is freshly made (immediately cut into thinnest slices and put on table from slaughterhouse) and is the most tender beef I’ve ever had. The spicy sichuan hot pot is my favorite food, but Chaoshan beef hot pot is my favorite of all my favorites.
