Yeah can’t find cpi injection units no more and when you can, they are $600. Just a fair warning. There are a couple companies that you can send them to for “remanufacture” but that’s rolling dice at best.
Great video! but how were you able to get the aluminum manifold off without damage. I am trying to get mine off of a 1995 blazer and it looks as if it wants start coming off but is still tight when i try wedging a small screw driver to pry it off. I believe i took all 10 bolts out.
if your not going to replace the injector assembly, at least replace the plastic fuel inlet and return lines on the driver side. those get pin holes in them and spray gas aswell. very common
Oh okay so you don't think that i should take the top intake off and see if i have a leak. Would that canister make it run rough and smell that bad on gas and so on. Ive been putting so much money into this blazer and I am getting to the point where I want to burn it already

does it run rough? if not then check the gas tank vent line on the driver side. it connects to the front of the engine under the throttle plate slightly on the driver side. its a small hose might have to move the radiator hose out of the way to see it. it runs to the charcoal canister under the air filter box. check those lines coming off of that too. and smell in that area.
Well i replaced the stuff and now when i go to put into gear it dies out what could that be and i noticed that it kinda smells a little rich not much but every so often
check fuel pressure.. my new injectors came with a bad regulator. it was set to low like 45psi. i had to adjust it to get 60psi. theres a screw on the back of it. and also check and see of you got good enough spark. this same truck i replaced the injectors was leaking but actually it was just a weak coil. so test and see how far the spark jumps. should jump at least half a inch or so and be blue in color.. if you have to hold it almost to ground to get it to spark its bad.
This guy bought his for $155, 8 years ago. Now most auto suppliers are out of these. I saw a used for $450 or from $650 send your for a rebuild. I'm trying to rebuild mine. Gm changed the design and now the only injector I can find matches the new design not this design. Anyone have a clue where I can find the parts to rebuild this spider ?
it looks as if the fuel lines at the beginning of the vid actually go over the top of the injector lines...??? mid way you say the reverse ?? whats up with that ????
the top plenum are 10mm bolts. and the throttle cable bracket are 8mm. the injector itself does not have any bolts. the fuel lines in the back are I think a 5/8th.
Anyone think its possible if a new spider got put in a vehicle 10 years ago that didnt run could have cracked up and. Now be leaking im thinking its a good possibility

try the connector first. if you have the extra money go get a new injector assembly and the nut kit which is the plastic fuel lines under the intake while your in there.
Mine is still factory never touched since 1995! Drives perfect. But I am getting parts like gasket, fuel pump, poppets, return lines just in case.

put rags in the hole in case you drop something down in the holes.

So do the small o rings for the fuel lines that connect to the spider injector do they go in the pitted groves about a inch back on the lines?

if its running rough then yes pull that intake. you might have a fuel leak under there. only takes a 12 dollar gasket to put it back on.

It blows out black smoke out of the tail pipe and sometimes it is hard starting sometimes

how do you get those 2 lines from the back of the intake off the spider?
remove clip and yank them out.
No! You have to remove the fuel lines and there's a star type screw but theres no video on it

chevy astros have them as well. the newer updated design is a bit better on fuel but clogs sometimes
