    You should change the differential fluid in your Yamaha Grizzly 700 every 3200 miles or once a year, so when you change the oil, change the fluid in front differential and rear final drive as well.
    John will show you this easy diff fluid change on your Yamaha Grizzly that only takes a couple of tools to get the job done. First, we’ll drain the front differential and then refill it with fresh fluid. The front diff fluid capacity on your Yamaha Grizzly is easy to calculate: when fluid starts coming out of the bottom, it’s got enough poured in through the top.
    Once we’re done up front, we’ll move to the final drive in the back. Same procedure there as in the front.
    Since they’re on the same maintenance schedule, lets change the oil. Here’s how to do it: • How to Change the Oil ...

    Wow. I am usually always disappointed with the production of the DIY videos. But your producer made you look like the absolute pros you are. You used your 6 mins well and I didn't have to fast forward through shots of you looking for a tool, elevating your machine or petting your dog.. Very tight.. thank you.

    Thank you for this superb video. I’m servicing a 2016 Yamaha Kodiak 700 and the owners manual says the Final Gear oil type is Mobilfluid 424. I’ve researched this oil and it appears that this type of oil is the same as or near the same as hydraulic fluid. For the front differential the manual does specify SAE 80 API GL-4 Hypoid gear oil. I went to my local Yamaha shop where the ATV was purchased and bought the Yamaha lube 10W-40 oil and filter for the machine along with the 80 wt gear oil for the front differential. When I asked the parts guy for the Mobilfluid 424 oil for the Final gear change he looked at me puzzled and said he didn’t have it. Interesting too is that our 2016 Yamaha Viking side by side manual says use the 80 wt for both the front differential and the Final drive. I’m beginning to think the Mobilfluid 424 suggestion for the Kodiak 700 is a typographical error. Any insight that you can share regarding this matter? Thank you.

    If the seals on your differential we're leaking would oil would be coming out around this seals .if you're getting milky colored water and the deaf breather lines that are breathing getting it too deep in the water.

    Hi there,
    Hey I have a
    2018 Ranger 900 that have a misfire, but it only has it when it goes up to
    4500 RPM'S and up, if it's under those RPM's it runs fine I tried many things already,
    Spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, new belt, fresh fuel
    And it keeps throwing the code for misfire on the MAG cylinder and I reset it, and sometime it throws misfire code for the PTO cylinder,
    I checked the timing, the valves, and it keeps throwing the code for misfire.
    What do you recommend or suggest?
    Thank you

    So the first oil change on my new 2019 Grizzly 700 EPS is right around the corner. I assume break in oil is used in rear final gear, front diff, and engine oil. If that is so, I need to do all 3 in the first oil change too, correct?

    • @brianpiersol9412
      @brianpiersol9412 3 роки тому +2

      Yes, I too have a 2016 baby brother Kodiak 700 and I used $10/ bottle of Yamalube Friction Modified Plus Shaft Drive Oil 80W-90 for both front Diff and rear final drive. One bottle will do both. Calls for Mobilube 424 in my owners manual for the rear final drive. It took me a while to find documentation from Yamaha that the Yamalube is fine to use for the final drive as an OK fluid to use instead of the Mobilube 424. Hope this helps.
