    Alex, I made two bees. The first looks like an obvious error, while the second looked identical to your own bee. I've noticed that most patterns for amigurumi are done in a spiral, but mine always end up looking drunk. I prefer your way of transitioning to the next round. It is so much neater and creates a lovely balanced work, but beyond transitioning, I wouldn't know what to call it as I've never seen anyone else crochet it like you do.

      Jinx, you are a legend!!! congrats on your two bee projects and for persevering with my transition method. To be honest, I have never seen anyone use that method before, so maybe I invented it, but it's great for making stripes line up and keeping 'eye's for amigurumi projects on the same row and straight. Thanks heaps for your feedback and love - HUGSSSS

    The "transition" method as you called it creates such nice stripes. Not even crocheting in joined rounds gives that effect. Lovely!

    So cute! My non-bee-nary child has asked for one :-D Is there any place where you write out your patterns? I'm on the go a lot or usually have a sleeping baby on my lap when I stitch, so watching a Video isn't always possible.

Apart from watching the tutorial you could screen shot the patterns as I always include them on the screen. Thanks heaps for your comment and happy hooking!

    I have done 2 bees now , thank you for the video. Can you show us how to make the stinger like the one bee at the beginning of the video it was a big stinger and it’s so cute . Any thoughts in making like a medium size Sushi roll ? It would be great 😊

    • @makeitwithalex4483
      @makeitwithalex4483  3 роки тому

      Hey. The stinger is using the same pattern as the stinger I show you, it is probably more that I squeezed the point with my fingers to make it stand out more. If this doesnt work for you, try adding another round of 6sc at the end on the stinger before you close it up. This should add length to it :) Also THANK for the idea! A sushi roll would be adorable

    I am confused in round 3 what she means by single and increasing. From what I understand single is 1 stich per stich space and increase means 2 stichs per stich space and I don't understand how we are supposed to do both and get the 18 stichis when we only do 6 single incress

    • @makeitwithalex4483
      @makeitwithalex4483  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Kat... let me check, but Row 3 is usually that you now have 12 stitches at the end of Round 2 and then for Round 3 you create a stitch in the next stitch space, then increase in the next stitch space - repeating that around will increase the stitches from 12 to 18 - for example: 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2 = 18 stitches :)

    • @makeitwithalex4483
      @makeitwithalex4483  3 роки тому

      Just checked and that is correct what I had replied with Round 1: 6 sc, Round 2: 6 increases, Round 3: (sc, inc) x6 times - 18 stitches. Comment if you are still confused and I will do my best to help you with it :)

    • @makeitwithalex4483
      @makeitwithalex4483  3 роки тому +3

      If you want to make a larger bee simply use thicker yarn like a bulky or chunky-style (5) and a larger hook. I have some yarn suggestions in the video description to help. When buying a hook, look for a size smaller than recommended on the yarn label as we will be filling the bee with poly fill and the smaller hook will keep the stitches tighter and you wont see the fill as easily. I hope that helps, but please comment if you need any further help and I will try my best to help you asap. enjoy x
