@@FearlessXxDream it was!!! I actually love how the show is developing Barchie and telling their story. I love the realism to it, even the more painful parts of it, like highschool sweethearts that will keep being around and causing nostalgia feelings and such to have to be dealt with, since usually people don't let go of nostalgic feelings over night, but rather in my experiences it happens in stages. And of course I love that they didn't just drop the core elements of the Barchie relationship, like their insecurities and fears, Betty keeping Archie at arm's length emotionally, Archie letting Betty set the pace and direction, for the most part, since that first rejection... Eta: Bonus, Betty otherwise, outside of Archie's emotional support in form of distraction and just being there for her, without imposing - another interesting continued aspect of their relationship since s1, sticking to Kevin as her partner in solving the missing Polly case, the original Barchie shipper.

I am a sucker for the slow burns (espeacially from friends to lovers, 'cause there are the trust, the familiarity and mutual respect behind everything). Can't wait what happens when their feelings surface more and evolve

And the Barchie built up is golden, and all the upcoming drama with V and J, IMO, was always going to be a part of it, given all of their histories with each other. Also, same I love slow burns, and the softness and gentleness and tenderness and quietness that has always been a part of Barchie and they haven't lost even with the heat having been turned up to infinity. Those last moments of theirs in 5x06 at the door and in the bedroom...
