To quote Betty, this was really nice, like really really nice. Love all the parallels, and that smoke effect is so cool, or I guess I should say hot! Great job. Love that you put in that little moment where Archie turns so openly around to share a moment with Betty after Veronica's and Chad's song. And what I loved about their doorway scene in 5x06 is how tentative it was. I mean Betty could have just laid one on him, but she didn't, because she wasn't there for just a distraction but comfort too. And then when they fell quiet Betty just looking at Archie until he makes that step forward and leaves it to Betty to close the remaining gap. - The show isn't perfect by a long shot, but again, I am really enjoying their take on Archie and Betty, the story they are telling with them. Also, I just now saw your Bloom and Sky vid in the suggestions, somehow I didn't see it when I checked out your channel, and am definitely watching it later.

Though there are some other elements I like. Like Toni, especially this season, don't know if you watched the 5x07 promo, but so looking forward to more Toni and Betty interaction. Especially with the current lack of female friendships on the show. I mean I get why B and V are m.i.a., I actually love that as a contrast to A and J, who had a friendship with a solid foundation pre-romances to fall back on. So with that in mind, I would actually love it if the show at least for now, rather than go back to B and V, explored some new/different female friendships, which is also part of life, friendships shifting. Another thing I always liked is Archie's very human character development storyline, bad decisions with horrific consequences included. And of course sweetheart Kevin, and Betty's and Alice's relationship. And Cheryl. So yeah, a few things I like that keep me watching this crazy crazy show. Some of them not necessarily as a stand alone but definitely as part of the whole.

I'm loving what they are doing with Choni, Toni taking over the vixens and putting on the HBIC shirt to provoke Cheryl out of her self-imposed isolation, is genius. On that note and Archie, Archie pulling the Jason card to try and get Cheryl to sponsor the team though... low blow but also actually made me laugh. For him to think that would work. Also, rewatching 5x06 I actually also like how they're handling A and V, the way A mainly seems curious about her relationship with Chad, which is natural. And then of course put off by Chad when he's being pretentious and/or hostile, but happy for V when she's happy. Even the last scene with A and V which has some Barchies worried, I see on the same trajectory, A trying to assess V and then getting caught up in the euphoria of the team. A moment I think was intentionally set up to be ambiguous to lead to some misunderstandings down the road on V's part as in her reading more into A's happiness of the moment. And some soul and heart searching on A's side, which he has yet to really do. Same goes for B of course. Because bottom line is the characters haven't seen each other in years, and don't really know each other, who they are now and what they are to each other, and in A and V case completely have to redefine their relationship. Who they are as friends/co-workers. Another aspect I like how the show handles, the whole getting reacquainted with people one used to know so well but hasn't seen in years. And all the different ways that can go, depending on the past relationships and who the characters are now.
I don’t think Archie and Betty could be friends with benefits. Their mutual feelings would get in the way. I like Bughead, but I like Barchie too. Bughead is cute. Barchie is steamy.
I agree, Barchie isn't only sexual it is rooted in deep caring and trust and fwb would never work. Yeah and it is truly amazing how different and unique both ships are 🥰
