The fact that he was a thief makes him immoral, but the way one of the experts kept psychoanalyzing his willingness to cut ties with his family doesn't make sense to me, considering that he would also be separated from his family if he was jailed... He'd have his whole life taken away from him one way or the other. And we don't actually know if he let his family believe he was dead, they might've been acting to help him.

It certainly seems like that Rabia. Which is a bug*er. At 68, with no pension pot, no savings and a tiny apartment at crazy rent, my vague "retirement plan" (after 50 years in the workforce) was to take up a life of crime and get myself locked up for free bed and board that would hopefully see me out. But how do I get there? I'm rubbish online so internet crime is out; I can do drunk & disorderly but not badly enough to get locked up; I loathe violence and drugs so they're both out. Which means my future is probably a sleeping bag in the nearest park. The irony is if I committed a crime that would land me in jail I'd get so much help, including affordable housing, when I came out and a dedicated social worker to help with life's annoying bureaucracy. But as a vulnerable law-abiding citizen, I get absolutely nothing. Rant over.

Funny story! It is filled with inaccuracies on the USA side. I can't comment about the UK side of the story as I did not know Carl then. It is true Carl was illegally in the USA using a fake passport (like 25+ million others in the USA, a very common thing). His mother knew exactly where he was and I picked her up from the airport in Fort Lauderdale when she came to visit. These Psychologists are trying to give Carl way too much credit he's not that smart. Carl did what a lot of illegal immigrants did/do in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale/Palm Beach area and that is to keep a roof over their heads and have something to eat. It is true of all illegal immigrants in any major metropolitan city around the world. Carl was arrested in the USA for being in the States illegally; but not convicted of any crimes. He was deported back the the UK in the late 90's. I'm not condoning any criminal behavior just stating "real life" facts. Who do you think picks the strawberries, mows lawns, washes cars, valet parks cars, bartends, wash dishes, etc., the illegals get paid cash and keep our economies running. This is how these people survive. So they do a little extra back room deals as if Wall Street doesn't! Back in the mid-nineties a large group of us went to happy hours, movies, the beach, etc.. Carl was like any other person on the planet, he had friends, an apt, a job, etc.. A few days ago Carl called me, its been about 10 years since we spoke last, he told me about this video so I watched. As the Brit's say it bullocks! Maybe those of you in the UK can look up if Carl has any criminal convictions there? Report just the facts and not the nonsense!

Looooooool get some help for your TDS... you can't even watch a normal show without screaming Trump... It's now been proven that the current American president gained power through media and intelligence services covering up for his son's laptop which insinuates illegal activity from the Biden family for financial gain, but still you scream Trump at every opportunity - seriously pathetic

You did Donald Trump? You must have a strong stomach to endure that. I'm glad you had a field day, though, good for you!
