I found the exact opposite. Kevin's videos are both informative and educational, as a result I have bought an EVO 100 phono preamp and haven't looked back since. So what's your problem?

These products are not a Marantz tube amp from the 60's. What was shown was the Auto-BIAS and system protection circuit. Prima Luna takes advantage of modern computing technologies. So does McIntosh, VTL, Audio Research etc... You will find circuit boards in all of these. To speak to what Kevin is talking about. Back in the early 2,000's I used to own an Anthem amp 1 and VTL MB-450's. These early amps did not have Auto-BIAS and the tube sockets were directly soldered onto a motherboard. The Prima Luna and Zesto do not do this. The tube sockets from these brands are bolted onto the amps chassis. Then directly patched in with wires like the old school amps from yesteryear.

The circuit board is the autobias and its not in the signal path. Everything else is point to point. You should read and learn before speaking. He even said it in the video...

@@craigmelissa12 Agreed. Nor should they assume sales people they do not know, are dishonest, simply because they want to build enthusiasm for the product they sell. Yeah it is there job to hype a product a bit. However, most in the industry that I worked with have always tried to do right by me. In my part of the world, It is a small community that supports them. The exceptions that had a habit of screwing people over, did/do not stay open for long.
