Thanks for sharing this video. It is helping others. I use hardware keyboards and mainstage. The RD-700 has a very good sound built-in and lots of flexibility, so if i may suggest, you may use it in conjunction of mainstage. It will surely save you in a middle of performance in case mainstage set-up fails. If you are still building the rig then, keyboard controller (way cheaper than RD-700) and mainstage.
in this setup we are going from MacBook Pro, into a USB hub. That Usb hub is connecting the computer to the keyboard (usb A to Usb B cable), then going out into the Scarlett interface. From the Scarlett interface we went 1/4 inch into the DI, and then in the FOH board over XLR
For me, I have an interface, a keyboard, and the macbook. My interface is connected to the macbook to power it, I have 2 audio cables that are connected from interface into mixer. Wire from keyboard into macbook
Hovhannes Julfayan Hi. Sunday Sounds is a set of templates for MainStage that are very effective for keyboard sound production for Christian Contemporary Music. Sunday Sounds runs within MainStage, which requires an Apple Mac computer. If you have a Midi Controller, you need to have some form of interface to connect it to the Mac, which can also handle the sound output from the Mac. In the video, the demonstrator was using a Korg Nano controller, with a Sunday Sounds skin on it to adjust the sounds of the patches that were showing on the screen. This is not mandatory, but very useful.
Originally we didn't have balanced TRS cables to XRL so we used a DI. Check out the update we did with some new equipment. ua-cam.com/video/9Zdtw63SHqM/v-deo.html
@@ministryequipping5057 Just watched the update video thanks. So now you don't run through a DI, scarlet straight to FOH? have you ever had any issues not having the DI such as noise or the soundguys accidentally selecting phantom power?
@@jakeyboy2929 No, we haven't had noise in this setup, and we haven't had phantom power issues either. Everything has been more solid overall since moving to this setup, though our Mac Mini is getting to the end of its life cycle.
We initially ran mono for our channel sound but we've been running 3 channels our of it for a while. L, R, and a separate channel for the drone pad. Check out our update video. ua-cam.com/video/9Zdtw63SHqM/v-deo.html&lc=UgyrWOYcnqTGMpg6qXV4AaABAg
Nice thanks for sharing. That tonic button is cool but risky because it plays a beautiful ambient sound but if the performer forgot to turn off - and move to other songs lol 😂 you have chord base playing out of tune. Not unless all your line up is on same key.
Thank you this was very informational and very helpful

are you on mono setup? checking your rig seems only one output is connected to 1 channel DI box.
Is there any way that the modwheel be assign to one of the faders on Roland RD700GX keys?
Is that a passive di box or active?
Sir how do you fix latency?? Im using ableton
Necesitas descargar los driver, asio4all es gratis
Which Mac book is that one?
How do you connect your cables? Could you please teach me the cable connection every single cable? Including di boxes to the mixer please
Mcneil, one thing you can do is to see our updated video which give another view of this setup: ua-cam.com/video/9Zdtw63SHqM/v-deo.html

How do make sound come out of a practice amp ? What’s the setup for that ?
Thanks! I checked but that Radial is quite expensive, is it worth it? I found similar DI at 60% less cost..
We only play 3 songs usually.
Comments above say don’t need DI box if audio Interface has balanced Xlr outputs so saves you a piece of hardware and wire
Do I need a Sunday Sound if I have an Midi Controller Keyboard, let say Arturia KeyLob?

@@mbrandon8026 Thank you for respond.
What the exact steps for setting this up with a digital
Keyboard?
That 6i6 has balanced outs. You shouldn’t need DI boxes.
Hey Lucas, I have a quick question, hopefully you can answer. If I get the 2i2, would I then need a direct box?
@@StressedSeeker No. The 2i2 has balanced outs as well. www.boxcast.com/blog/balanced-vs.-unbalanced-audio-whats-the-difference
Balances out meaning can go directly to mixer Mic?
onzkicg yes, exactly.
This is what I'm trying to figure out. Why are people using di boxes with the focusrite
From Scarlet going to Di Box, is that mono? And Mono is not enabled on Mainstage? Thanks
As a guitarrist, Can I use mainStage with logicPro pedalboard on live performance?
Mainstage has ALL of the same plugins as Logic does, including Pedalboard. If that’s what you are asking
This is really helpful, thank you
Mono??
How did you get the overlay piece for the NanoController that color codes for Sunday Keys?
Hey Andrew, we bought this from Sunday Sounds. They sell their own custom skin. sundaysounds.com/patches/sk-skin
What USB do you use ?? Mine keeps breaking ;(
Why use the DI box, why not go interface straight to FOH?

Should run your scarlet usb directly into the Mac.
Hi Andy, Could I hire you on a Skype call to help me setup a vocal Chanel on maistage for a solo artist
great setup but you cable management is driving my OCD crazy.
Never go Mono on keys
Which Generation Computer is that sir?
