As someone who's just getting into midi controllers and add-ons, it'd be nice to see a video seeing how you suggest all the elements (controller, laptop, add-on controllers) are physically set up on stage. Are there custom mounting solutions that are modular? any products you guys use and/or recommend. I have a controller, laptop, and the nanoKontrol, but have no way to make it appear organized on a stage.
There are a few ways to get around the clutter. Simplest way is a two tier keyboard stand with a black melamine shelf on the top layer to hold the laptop, audio interface, and other peripherals. I personally use a flexible arm tablet holder to hold my nanokontrol close to my left hand as most of my controller knobs and faders are also on the left but a lot of people just sit the nano on top of the controller. A second common solution for permanent set up is to gut an unused piano and mount everything inside. I plan to tidy up my rig by building a shroud/box from ply to hide cables and gear. There are a few examples online of how you could accomplish this but if just starting, try the two tiers stand solution first

Hey I just got Sunday keys for Ableton and I just recently got the novation launchkey 25. What would be the best set up for Sunday keys without getting the nanokontrol 2?
Hey Jake. Great video. I subscribed. I’m just starting out and have a Roland Fantom G8, which is older but powerful. I want to use the Fantom as my controller and using NanoKontrol. Do you know if the NanoKontrol and the Fantom will do what you’re describing in this video? Thanks.
My keyboard player is set using just our Casio. Id love to start using the keyboard as a midi controller, but I don't know for her if going full fledge into Main Stage is the best option, or would maybe starting with GarageBand be better for her?
Connor Matthew Waldhart I used GarageBand to start, trust me mainstage is worth it bro, I don’t like the sounds of the piano on GarageBand. However, on mainstage, it does miracles
I just bought the Korg Nano and Mainstage. I'm having trouble setting up the USB so Nano controls Mainstage then to the keyboard. Anyone have any advise?
@@d.i.mediagroup7249 You'll have to go in MainStage and map the whole thing yourself, you just go to layout in the top left corner, then select the fader, button or knob you want to assign, then you just move it until its in sync with the NanoKontrol2 and do that for every fader in your MainStage template, Then you should be ready to go.
Cualquier cable usb, ojo no mini usb como el de los telefonos, solo pídelo como cable usb 1 o cable usb A en cualquier tienda de electronica cuestan 80 pesos mexicanos en steren
Great video, but $25 for a decal? C'mon man!
Can you do this same video but with Sunday keys in Ableton?
I'll add it to the list!
@@Churchfront sweet! I'm going to be setting up a new keyboard rig and that would help me alot.

A driver installed in Windows but I couldn't get it to work with Ableton? Why don't you cover Ableton Live install?

I don’t think Garage band is gonna accomplish much. Mainstage is really easy if you use the Sunday Keys template
Yeah, second that. Get Mainstage and Sunday Keys and a nanokontrol2 and you'll be astounded at the transformation

This device doesn’t work with MacOS Big Sur version .
Is it possible to switch between scenes on this device?
I'm sure you could easily map a button to the "next scene" command

$24? mmmmm!!

What the f&&k does “worship” have to do with a midi controller?! Do you have to constantly shove your delusions into every damn sentence?!
