@@jswede1 judging by the amount of subscribers, the Watchbox has 140k only thats criminally low when compared to other watch channels that are not half as good as Tim.
@@CokeWithIceAndLemon I'd agree with that. I'll never have 400,000+ subscribers or 100,000+ views per video. On the other hand, the people who do aren't driving millions in revenue at an actual business behind the UA-cam channel. So... I guess it's a draw. Best, Tim
The Octo Finissimo S is an amazing watch . Something that i want to point out is that it is so eye-catching : this watch is the watch who caught the most attention from men and particularly women compared to my 5712 and 15450ST Royal Oak . They told me it was so shiny and incredibly designed that they could wear it too .
Tim this video is really top class! Super detailed infos ad always, but this time the package is perfect: well organized infos with some story at first, very good looking camera angles, a more formal tone of voice and a more upscale background: it seemed a BBC documentary. One of the best videos about horology I have seen! Hope to see more with this more formal style of presentation. Very good job!
Very well done! This past week, I just tried the Bulgari Octo Finissimo. Truly a very stunning watch. The Skeleton was especially nice - feeling like a second pair of skin. For 20% of a Nautilus, you will get immense joy out of the Bulgari; I can guarantee that as that watch is now on my hit list!
It's definitely not a fashion watch. I like it as an alternative in style if not price. I'd probably opt for steel with the blue gradient dial. Best, Tim
The 5711 is the must have holy grail of sport watches era. It’s gonna be an auction star when it will come to vintage market, so few were produced, and many collectors have wear them so if you can put your hands on an unworn one… go ahead, with recession some good deals will be offered by crypto dude hahaha
The hype of this watch is too much. Back in 2015, I knew this watch and found it's special and beautuful, and I believe it's worth 15k because it's a patek. When I told this to my friend who also likes watches, he said this watch is ugly. I admit it didn't meet the aesthetics of the majority of people, but I somehow think it's gonna boom and might go to 40k range because it deviates from Patek's mainstream image, so it bears some uniqueness. However, now's it's in 100k+ range, which is totally BULLSHIT. A 40 hours lame power reserve, time + single date function, stainless steel material, you tell me it outprices the average annual income of the US? People are crazy. Its price is totally not justifieable and will be beaten to its original form. If one really loves watch, either from mechanical complication or arts jewlery point of view, one shouldn't pay more than 40k for this watch, because there are a lot of watches way better than this one. Even one is just into big names, you can also find a lot that are cheaper and better within Patek or sililar league brands such as Lange, FP Journe or Gronefeld. That is to say, if one is willing to pay its current market price, it's purely market investment oriented, and such bubble will eventually blast.
The alternatives should be at the forefront for anybody considering this watch. A GP Laureato Infinity would be my first alternative - that, or the Moser. Best, Tim
I think the bubble will slowly deflate in a decade or two, after everyone who wants one has one. Most people who like watches are dads and grandfathers; I know a lot of people and I still have yet to meet someone my age or younger who is as intrigued by mechanical artwork as I am... like I know they're out there, but I'm also well aware that there really are not many of us. So in a few decades, the younger generations will pick and choose which vintage watches are worth collecting, just like the car industry right now... Museums will buy those which nobody else can afford, or want, and then after more decades pass they'll be auctioned or sold off to new generations as the market changes. History always repeats itself.
No, Sean models for the wrist shots. I decided that my wrist isn't representative of my guys, so I asked a bigger guy on our team to demo the watches. Best, Tim

And none of my other videos include a guide to the correct contents of a full boxed set overview -- or sized-bracelet wrist shots. If you didn't like it, that's OK too. Best, Tim
It's a great watch but I prefer my 5712. It's like a 5711 on steroids...much more interesting dial and more functions. That said, some people love the 5711 for its simplicity. You really can't go wrong!
$100K for a 5711? Let's see, I could own a Zeitwerk at $70K grey market, an Octo Finissimo in Steel at $9K (blue dial please!), and a Breguet Classique YG in essentially the flavor of my choice (a 5140BB enamel dial please) at $15K. All this and I get to keep $6K in my pocket to go buy nearly 6 cases (6 bottles each case) of Cliquot Grande Dame to stash for future celebrations of my awesome watch collection. :) Not your taste, or you really REALLY want a Patek? OK, why not start with a 5396 Annual Calendar for what, about $50K? How about a 5159 Perpetual Calendar at $83K? Get either of these and then just go whimsical and fun on two more to take you up to 100K like the Octo at 9K and then maybe a GO SeaQ on a rubber strap ($7k) for a beater. You'd have plenty of change left over if you started with the Annual Calendar! In short, anyone spending 100K for a 5711 is either an idior or he/she is someone who has the financial chops to do so 10x over without perceiving a difference in their bank account....and thus might already have all the other watches mentioned. :)
I would really rather have a bunch of stuff besides the 5711. Also, a Zeitwerk at that price isn't necessarily a grey market watch. They're also available used at or below that price. Best, Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviews I just did some more digging and you are right. The Zeitwerk market is a major time suck strangely enough. Stainless steel? Not a chance hahaha.
