Thank you for this lovely reaction! I have been waiting for this debut for so long that I don't even have words to describe how excited I am. It's just amazing to me from beginning to end, so many looks, so many sets, all kinds of small changes in the beat leave you curious, the division of the lines was also fine in my opinion, each one shined here and that's my opinion! Baby Monster understood the task and gave here a hit debut song.
Yes this is what I think you need to do in a debut: make some noise, get people interested, and set yourself up to break out. I think they can do very cool things I just hope they experiment a bit!

Please watch the Evaluation and Intros for this group. You will find that their talent and abilities are totally different from Blackpink. Saying that Jennie /Lisa and Rosie (Haram (Rami) Intro vid) Trained them. Great Reaction btw. 7th member Ahyeon was missing due to health issues but apparently will rejoin later
I do see that they're different for sure - the similarity is more about production/influence but I do think they can be their own group and I'm hopeful! Thank you for watching.

If you want to see what an iconic debut song sounds like then listen to and watch 2NE1's debut song Fire. Seniors to Blackpink, living legends, the idols of idols. You will see how BM re-used 2NE1's sirens and attitude (Fire), set design (Can't Nobody), adlibs (I Am The Best) and Blackpink's set (Ddu-Du Ddu-Du), rap flow (Blackpink's Lisa and Jenny copied theirs from 2NE1's CL and Minzy). btw Blackpink were called 2NE1 2.0 so it was funny hearing you say you didn't want to call BM as Blackpink 2.0, they would actually be 2NE1 3.0 😉
Disagree for the last sentence. Whether Babymonster will become BP 2.0 or 2NE1 3.0 or not, it’s just a guess work at the moment. I still believe YG entertainment can make Babymonster identity apart from their sister groups, especially while Blackpink contract is renewed and will active simultaneously. Otherwise YG gonna get a long suffering in future. Although the debut song Batter Up vibe has way alike those sister groups, but it showcases these girls well enough and is portray label identity as well. It is just the only one introduction of monsters hatching the eggs to face the whole world.

A decent debut in my opinion. Raps were 🔥🔥 also the vocals, choreo & visuals. The chorus was mid and it reminded me of Lisa's money but it is YG to be expected, they have a habit of reusing melodies ( similiar case is with Ikon's 'Rhythm Ta' & 'Good Boy' by GD×Taeyang)
I think this is a great debut! I do see the similarities, but I am hoping that's mostly to get their foot in the door, and they'll make their own path moving forward. They have the talent, it's just up to the label/production I think!
if you look at the credits the same people who worked on those songs worked on this why are yall making out be a negative all the time

@@tonyghee0124 Yes, these songs are different. But this song has the style and feeling of blackpink for me. I believe that YG is using blackpink successful formula and probably for commercial reasons, they don't take the risk of introducing a new style.
