    If there was any semblance of a soul left in Grievous after all this, it was certainly crushed into nothingness after Gungans defeated him.

    Grievous deserves his own stand-alone film truly tragic. The story where he interacts with the force at the temple but still rejects it as he is a jaded and hurt being, rejecting the very peace he craves.

    I would absolutely love a standalone Grievous movie, animated or cinematic series that just explores all of his backstory and even a extra episode or smaller movie going over the earliest days of the clone wars with his first ever appearance
    Also thnx for always sharing your lore sources at the beginning of videos it's overlooked some of the time but i really appreciate it and would love it if you had a doc or made a video recommending the best SW comics to read

      It kinda shows George himself wasn't too good for Star Wars despite what others say.

    • @jarmoliebrand2005
      @jarmoliebrand2005 Місяць тому +5

      @@aster4jadenI think, George is crucial for a healthy and good quality Star Wars. But, he needs to be kept in check a bit. During the OT, there were more people who could kindly oppose his ideas and just dismiss a lot of the bad ideas. No creative, no matter how revered, has good ideas all the time.

    • @Intrepid_Explorer
      @Intrepid_Explorer Місяць тому

      @@jarmoliebrand2005 That is about how I see it as well, controversial as it might be to ever criticize George. Not only did George have a lot of people that helped rewrite his scripts during the OT (including his wife), but even some his his actors put in their own input. Harrison Ford especially is on record as refusing to do some of the more ridiculous lines George had come up with for him, and seemingly coming up with some of his own dialogue.
      In contrast, George was very obviously surrounded with a lot more yes men during the PT. In fact; there is even a line from the Ep. II "Trying To Do My Thing" featurette from Hayden himself that, indirectly, alludes to as much. "As much as it is my character it's all coming from George's head. he is the definitive of how it should be." No longer was George Lucas merely a humble director trying to tell his story of a Galaxy far far away, but the creator and director of the greatest movie franchise in history. As a result there was no longer any pushback from the actors on the part that they played, and with no one to help keep George's writing in check either the results were what we got.

    • @matthewmann8969
      @matthewmann8969 Місяць тому +1

      Legends EU Grievous was so bad ass that he was able to even garner some fear from Mace Windu himself and even Count Dooku has admitted on rare occasions to be hard pressed in his lightsaber sparring sessions with Grievous in terms of saber dueling Grievous was a high level and his cybernetics and physical attributes made him even more greatly deadly with firearms too yeah.

    Is this...a General Grievous video...of LEGENDS?!?!?!? YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS!!!!
    Been waiting for this Stupendous Wave!!!!! Lore Master been super limited on his material he often focus on Legends. This is one of your best ones in my opinion. Can't wait when you're finish with his tale you put all parts together in a compilation. As you can tell...I love Grievous 😅
    Now THIS is MY General Grievous I LOVE and MISS SO MUCH!!! I don't know WHY Lucas really thought Grievous and Vader were alike and he and Disney believed Grievous should be some wimp getting booty bandit'd by freaking gungans. Besides killing Jedis proficiently they are NOTHING alike.
    Ani was a flawed hero who gave into his fears of his love dying not realizing he was being manipulated the whole time and just resigned himself to his fate in his suit til he learned of Luke's existence.
    Grievous the definition of a tragic hero. He meanwhile was a true hero a DEMI GOD of his people and respected by many warrior societies and warriors in general. He and his people were eternally screwed by the jedis and republic. Grievous is one big epic yet sad 1 'man' kamikaze mission. There's a reason he easily became a leader of the CIS. They know who he is and his legit gripes with the republic and he would rather die than submit to the republic. Grievous is a true tragic hero. Hell even when he served Dooku loyally he was screwed again the ONE thing he asked was his mind be left intact...he messed with his emotions. Personally...I think Grievous would've been even MORE effective without his emotions tampered with.
    I miss Legends...I miss this version of Grievous and Darth Maul for that matter...

From what I've seen in the video, this really does put some "flesh on the bones" for this character, and gives him more than half a reason to go across the Stars chasing Jedi.
