Di Stefano era all'ora 69 - 70. Ha cantato il concerto di arie antiche. Nel 1999 l'ho incontrato all'eta di 78 al festivale di Trapani in Sicilia (Italia). Such a wonderful tenor. His performance of Core'ngrato was truly the best. And his Santa Lucia Luntana was the best as well. But you have to show him with the bloody cigar hanging out of his mouth. The source of all his vocal problems later. Well, I still love him. What a legacy.
Dammit. His voice was glorious but he threw it away with his intemperate behavior. Smoking for example. Even with that damn cigar hanging out of his mouth he still sang like an angel. So tragic.
