To keep the engine from overheating, you need to knock out the freeze plugs and do some serious flushing of the block because it is a 100% guarantee that the water jacket is plugged with rust and core sand. I own 2 Studebakers and worked in a Studebaker garage years ago and flushing out the block was SOP when resurrecting an old Studebaker engine. Also be sure to replace the self adjusting plugs that fit into the brake shoes. If you don't replace those brass plugs, you will never be able to properly adjust the brakes. The Studebaker Rear wheel bearings are not lubed from the differential oil and have to be repacked by hand periodically. Do not try to grease the bearings through the ports on the axle flanges as it is guaranteed that you will pump grease all over the brake shoes ruining them. Ask me how I know about that.
A lot of the old cars were built for a lifetime but they didn't say how many lifetimes. Now you can see when they meant lifetime it was more than one. Today it's so long they get out of the factory door they don't care after that!
Excellent video Bah 53 :) I don't know much about Studebaker vehicles of hand and remember lots like them also have certain models too ! Not sure how hard get parts for them and I only saw some them in vechile shows! Not sure year one one my late Dad & his brother had together but I know heard stories about I heard was 6 cylinder and 3 in tree Manual transmission type and never saw it! It clean up like new and even engine would hurt put in crankcase to some!
It's a breath of fresh air to see such a nice old what you see is what you get car,,,Just so simple to work on,,Everything is rebuildable,,A joy indeed,,I'm convinced it's backward we have gone with technology ,,Not forward,,
Nice little stude. You'll be the hit of the town when you go to get groceries in it. lol Over the Winter just putz around and fix little things on it and by the time Spring comes you'll have a nice classic car!😃
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires
Hello, I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?
Same, I operate a wide- range of Investments with help from My Financial Adviser. My advice is to get a professional who will help you, plan and enhance your management skills. For the record, working with Ann Marie strunk, has been an amazing experience.
I'm favoured, $90K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America,, all thanks to Ms Ann Marie strunk😊

What a fantastic car from an era where they were really built well! You're doing a great job on her.

I'm 79-year-old old man I learn how to drive in 1951 in a Studebaker Champion good car
Glad you gave Grandpa a ride .
Is I remember when it was colder than hell you had to have an 8 volt battery to make it run
This thing is so cool. Looks like a jet. She deserves to live!
These old cars may be expensive if you are getting all new parts.
But a lot of things are rebuildable.

I love lucy was a brand new tv show around the time that car was built. October 1951
Glad to see a Study savef
It's a car worth saving.
Little rubbing compound and a buff might bring the paint back to life. Pop that dent out of the door and that would be a respectable summer cruiser
You can hone the master-cylinder on the frame. I did that on my 53 Pontiac. The same for the wheel-cyinders on the backing plates.
How far are you planning to go with that black beauty I mean a driver or a yard car like the rest that are rusting out in your back yard ...
Your grandfather is still alive,,,How old is he,,
Where in Minnesota??
