    The Prime X is actually a decent value. Good for everything and every pace. Actually top class in terms of protecting the legs and lower limb and is very neutral so you won’t feel strange putting another shoe on at the end of the block. They definitely don’t have the same effect that the alphafly has for me personally in a race in terms of drastically lowered heart rate at pace, but I’d rather wear them any time in training.

    Here is why I consider stack height alone to not be a significant advantage: Consider two springs of equal properties one being two inches long and the other an inch and a half. Both are compressed under equal weights. While one spring is longer, both hold the same amount of potential energy. This can be compared to superfoams so long as the properties do not change significantly once it begins to bottom out. This being one reason why the Nike Dragonfly spike still has a performance advantage despite such a small stack height. Added stack height beyond a certain point does allow for a more substantial rocker design and other internal elements which could change the conversation, but if it is simply more foam then my thoughts are that you will quickly lose the battle against weight as has happened with the Prime X gen 1

    the prime x are top class. But,I do feel like the alpha 1s have a touch more in them in terms of speed when you want to really get going. But, my legs always feel better the day after a hard workout if I wore the Prime x. In terms of the alpha 2s, don't do it! I don't know what they did wrong, but they're all wrong. It's almost like if someone was trying to wean you off super shoes, they would give you this watered down version. Which makes sense since we're seeing pro's at races and workouts in alpa 3 prototypes already (surely one of the quickest turn arounds in a super shoe model).

    I love your shoe choices! I’m stepping up to 70-80mi/week and will transition shoes. I tested the Prime X Strung for hard long efforts and that is what I intend to use them for. I just got the Superblasts which I will use for easier LR and MLR. Still will use the FF More v4 for shorter easy days. Endorphin Pro 2 for track days and shorter tempos. Alphafly’s for race day!

    Love my PrimeX Strungs for training, but when it comes to a race 1/2 marathon on up, I’m using my Alphaflys (v1). The weight of the PrimeX is very noticeable over the Alphaflys on longer runs.

    My understanding is that the Superblasts are “illegal” as well re stack height not that the elites would race in them anyway.

      From what I've seen they are 45mm in the heel, but ASICS is notoriously weird about their stack height measurements.

    Could you comment on your doping allegations of Anya Culling?

    • @sweatelite
      @sweatelite  Рік тому +1

      Anya Culling uses a thyroid medication, from what I understand, to be on the banned list. The claim to have a medical problem to use the medication is, from what I understand, very new.
      I asked her a couple of questions about it the other day when I had been informed she was slandering me in a BA group chat and she blocked me via WhatsApp, made the post you see on Instagram and claimed to be “harassed” (2 short texts).
      Nick Bester also strangely disappeared from the Berlin Marathon finish line, instantly and didn’t wait for his team mates coming in minutes later. Left the premises. I questioned him on this a few times and the response was that he was so annoyed he didn’t break 2:20 he ran away. On a completely unrelated matter, I saw Eliud Kipchoge and a few random runners randomly tested at the end of Berlin Marathon at the finishers tent.

    What’s the mileage on those Alphafly? I absolutely love mines, the energy return is unmatched. I bought a second pair that has 20 miles. My current pair has 150 and I use them for tempo runs & track workouts.
    I wanna get my hands on the Superblast, I have the Novablast 3 & they’re one of the best daily trainers.
    I also have the Takumi Sen 8 & Adios Pro 2 and have been curious how the Prime X Strung feels.

    Obviously your training is going well but do you not think that potentially training in all these illegal very high stack shoes a lot of the time will get your body used to them instead of the shoes that you’ll be racing in - legal shoes. Alphaflys probably protect your legs enough.

      It’s a fair point but not sure about “all these illegal stack heights” - one pair of Prime X’s that I don’t think are any faster than a few others on the market under the 40mm height. But yes it can be a risk to Achilles etc

    • @zacharygarner9425
      @zacharygarner9425 Рік тому

      I've used both and I don't think that the 50/40 stack in the Prime X actually gives them a performance advantage. If anything they have a durability advantage at the cost of weight. I think it's fair to say that most people like Matt could wear a lighter weight super shoe on race day for the first time without issue. I've done it before and I would do it again so far as I trust the shoe to have been broadly tested.
