Honestly, Monstress is sooo good, would recommend it ten fold. It is pretty graphic, but I feel like Kippa (you'll know who she is, she's the cutest character) balances it all out because she's literally adorable.
This is quite the haul! You seriously must love the Nevernight series because all those copies... of each book... 😱😱😱 Happy that you’ve got Siege and Storm to complete the collection. Moxie and Red Rising are on my TBR too!
Can i just say that i LOVE how you keep getting different copies of Nevernight and Godsgrave? I love seeing another person keep buying the same book in different "versions" simply because you love the book so much! Great haul, have fun fitting those all in and reading them in the future :)
I've read Monstress and really loved it! The art is stunning and I think the story is really unique and detailed for a graphic novel. I hope you enjoy your new reads. I just started A Darker Shade of Magic and I am loving it so far!
Red Sister 100% gave me Nevernight vibes. The setting is very similar and it's so badass. I love Nevernight slightly better but both were 5 star books for me!
Every time you talk about Nevernight (and Godsgrave) I think it's such a shame that I have yet to read that book/series. I need to read it soon! But. . . ❤❤❤ I also own and have yet to read Red Rising by Pierce Brown (as well as books two and three in the series). I have high hopes for this series, too! 😍❤ The rest of the books you talked about also sound good. I might have to read some of them, too. 😊❤
I read exclusively on Kindle and only in English, but whenever I actually go to a bookstore, I'm reminded about how good we Germans are at book publishing. Weird title translations aside - German books look amazing!
I'm german and when I saw the thumbnail I thought that the red paged book looked like my copy of Nevernight and it actually was. I'm kinda proud right now! 😁
The Red Rising series is one of my favorites. I've read the trilogy twice and will read it again when the fourth book comes out in January. Love your videos.
Amy Salieri it is a complete trilogy with an ending. The next book is the beginning of a new series ten years later. No need to go beyond three books if you don't want to. Everything started feels wrapped.
Sooo many books!! I've recently started the first part of Monstress and even though the story does sound amazing it was a bit too dark for me so now I'm thinking about reading it for Zoe's Halloween Readathon to decide if I can stand reading the rest of the series :D
Saw the Waterstone's exclusive Godsgrave yesterday but passed it up because I haven't read Nevernight yet so I could just get it from amazon when I need it but now I know it's exclusive I NEED IT RIGHT NOW!
I read Borne earlier this year, it was so weird but it was also really good. I hadn't read anything before by Vandermeer so I don't know if that's his usual style or not but I definitely want to read his other novels now.
I love Nevernight so much and I am so excited to read Godsgrave! I haven't had time to read it yet, but Nevernight was my first read of the year and I hope I can get to the sequel in these next few months! I'm actually supposed to be reading Red Sister for my book club, and I totally though the same thing about its similarities to Nevernight; I wonder how similar they'll actually be. I hope you enjoy the rest of The Raven Cycle!!!
And my plan to reduce TBR went straight out the window. So many books I never heard of and I am so so intrigued, cannot wait for ya reviews! Also on german edition of Nevernight it says Nevernight The Exam :DDD how spoilery!
I love the Rowland Sinclair series! I chose the first book as my Postal Book Club book on Litsy, it's now working its way around the world until it comes back to me in two years. I'm also obsessed with Nevernight, I have a few editions of each including the Goldsboro blue edge edition. I'm currently searching for the matching edition of Nevernight, so if anyone has a copy they want to get rid of, let me know please!!
+AmandasAfterword how exciting!! I hope you enjoy it in Aus 😁 I've only visited Melbourne a couple times so I can't think of any other bookstores besides the massive Dymocks on Collins St. For Sydney in the CBD there's Dymocks, Kinokuniya, Galaxy Bookshop. Further south there is Better Read Than Dead and some amazing used bookstores including Sappho Books (also a cafe and bar!), Gould's Book Arcade, Gleebooks.
The polish version of Nevernight looks just like the german one, it also have a "naked" hardcover with red sprayed edges and it just looks amazing, cannot wait for Godsgrave to be published in Poland :D now I have the american/english versions , a polish version of Nevernight and I'm going to buy polish edition of Godsgrave also :D They're just soooo preeettyyyyy
In the year 2027 only 4 people can read, the government has banned books from the general public because they are insecure about their reading abilities.
Sigh I had to come on here and vent a little. Just spent >NZD100 on online book shopping. Pretty pretty hardcovers. Including an Anne of Green Gables compendium to replace the copy I had as a kid (which got mouldy and had to be disposed of). It had preeeeetty deckled edges (seriously if Amazon sends me a copy with straight-cut edges I might riot). I'm not a bad person, am I? This is normal, right?? (Somebody reassure me please!)
Honestly, Monstress is sooo good, would recommend it ten fold. It is pretty graphic, but I feel like Kippa (you'll know who she is, she's the cutest character) balances it all out because she's literally adorable.
The Darker Shades series is SO GOOD. A Gathering of Shadows is my personal favorite, I really hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
Agreed, GOS is also my favorite, which is weird since the second book is always sort of like a bridge between 1 and 3 in which not much happens.
The Raven Cycle is one of my fave series, I can't wait to see what you think of it!
Can you please do bookshelf tour? With so many new additions I would love to see your expanded bookshelf!!!!
"I decide to get... it." Me whenever I get another addition of my fave book which is Wuthering Heights xD

That piera sticker, oh god. 😂
She convinced me to read red rising. Im waiting for it to arrive from bookdepository.
Red Rising is amazing, it might well be a bit sci fi but its got way more of a fantasy/dystopian feel to it
I've read Monstress and really loved it! The art is stunning and I think the story is really unique and detailed for a graphic novel. I hope you enjoy your new reads. I just started A Darker Shade of Magic and I am loving it so far!

I recently picked up "Monstress" as well and I freaking love it! You will enjoy it, I guarantee you that!

OOH i've been meaning to read Red Rising too, after seeing Piera rave on about it! And aha the intro is so so me. Lovely video Caz!

AHHHHH RED RISING IS SO GOOD
I'm german and when I saw the thumbnail I thought that the red paged book looked like my copy of Nevernight and it actually was. I'm kinda proud right now! 😁
Kristina Ma Hiii ich bin auch deutsch :)
Anja Azmann ich auch 😂✌

Oh my goodness! I finished the first volume of Monstress a few days ago! I really liked it - gave me some Hayao Miyazaki vibes.
Some of the books look stunning and interesting! I'll have a look at them :)
LOOOVE Monstress, hope you enjoy them!
The Red Rising series is one of my favorites. I've read the trilogy twice and will read it again when the fourth book comes out in January. Love your videos.
I thought it was a trilogy! Damn. Just bought Red Rising, I'll see how I feel about more than three books.
Amy Salieri it is a complete trilogy with an ending. The next book is the beginning of a new series ten years later. No need to go beyond three books if you don't want to. Everything started feels wrapped.
Oh good, I'm a bit tired of everlasting series so if I can stop at three and see how I feel from there, it's a big relief, thank you!
I'm excited to hear your thoughts on Red Rising and All the Crooked Saints. Both are on my TBR too. :)
If you don't initially like Red Rising, give it at least a hundred pages, it turns into a very different book.
Great haul!!!! So many books!!!! I love it
Really looking forward to picking up Nevernight & Godsgrave. Have heard amazing things about Red Rising
I've ordered red rising and red sister too this month, just waiting for them to arrive
I'm going to be picking up The Tiger and the Wolf too ... because of the cover!
Ariel's Booklist that's why I bought the book lol I've not read it yet though but it was sooo pretty :D

The "ch" in bicho raro sounds the same as the one in "chomp"!
What a haul tho I'm jealous
More books to add to my TBR list 😍
I read Borne earlier this year, it was so weird but it was also really good. I hadn't read anything before by Vandermeer so I don't know if that's his usual style or not but I definitely want to read his other novels now.
Red Rising is soooo good!
The Tiger and the Wolf has a truly gorgeous cover. Never heard of it, so I hope you'll read it soon :)

I bought nevernight when it came out and I still haven't read it! Totally need to get around to that!!
Oh I've been meaning to read Red Sister. Well, first I want to read his Broken Empire trilogy. Whichever I get to first.
Yay another littlebookowl video!!
I wanna read Moxie so much!
There are so many books!!
so many book, and they are so big!
I love the Rowland Sinclair series! I chose the first book as my Postal Book Club book on Litsy, it's now working its way around the world until it comes back to me in two years. Amazing! how do you have time to read all these??
What eye shadow are you using in your crease? It's pretty but not over the top :)
That first book reminds me of that movie coming out lol, happy death day.
SO JEALOUS OF ALL THE CROOKED SAINTS CRI
the first one sounds like source code (a movie)
Hey, I am heading out to Sydney and Melbourne this month from the states! Any good bookstores you'd recommend? Thanks!

Little Book Owl ahhh thank you so much!! This is wonderful! I am super excited, I think I'm going to have a great time :)
Intro 👌🏻
Anyone else think of Yurio from YOI when she was talking about Learning to Swear in America?
I did
The Godsgrave books are SEXY
No matter what I do, I always ruin my poor books ):
Could you do a comparative guide to book boxes for the thrifty consumer? It seems to be book box mania out there: so many.
