@@elusiveDEVIANT I never said this was price gouging. I simply said quality workmanship costs more than lesser quality goods. I don't think White's is price gouging.
Would love to get a pair of these to support you but they're a bit out of my price range for now:/ Really hope they do well though so you guys can keep collaborating!
Hey Weston, you should link to this video on your video on your second channel. Very cool to see them being built and im looking forward to the cut in half video.
Amazing! I've had plenty of jobs in my 59 yrs. (farming, textiles, carpentry, roofing, plumbing, auto/tractor/lawnmower mechanic, gun repair, tree work, etc.). This is what real craftsmen look like!
The people in this video are not Cobblers. Bootmakers make boots. Cobblers REPAIR footwear. They are both highly skilled trades, and some people ply both, but they are not the same.
@@WhitesBoots1853 He definitely looks like he knows what he's doing, but... No part of that hand stitching looked 'easy'! Even with the tape, my hands hurt just watching hm. Major respect!
It looks incredibly painful. Makes you wonder how long a guy can hold that position. I certainly didn't see any gray hair on him. Major respect. Take care of those hands sir.
Yes indeed...this is why I wear Whites boots...I absolutely loved watching this video!! Since I have such a large foot, I started having to wear White's boots. They can make them to fit my Size 17 Wide (White's 16). The original pair of smoke jumpers lasted for 30 years with two rebuilds, and one re-stretch. I need a new pair now, and will re-order White's boots. I admire these craftsmen more than they know. I appreciate their skill, and wish that many more things were made with this sort of craftsmanship...We would use considerably less resources if things were still made with this quality. Utterly, utterly well done. Thank you for this video!
A shop full of very talented artisans, but that guy in the black shirt is just on another level. I really hope videos like this can help bring some attention to the craft and artistry of this profession. Also, this exact makeup but in brown elk tan would be incredible.

esta gente se merece un reconocimiento, meencanta y se ve el dinero que vale, porque son obra maestra, por favor no dejen de fabricar estas maravillosas botas.
Wow. No, this is WOW!!! Absolutely amazing craftsmanship! But even more, this is artisanship! I was completely mesmerized by this video, completely enthralled by the "old-school" nature of what these guys are doing. Totally loved watching the pride, the esteem that went into making these boots. Truly remarkable. Wish all fabricators were like this. In today's throw-away world, it is so heartening to witness the loving attention to detail this shop shows. Well done. Well done indeed!
Thank you very much for this. Being able to watch the true hand made process of a Whites boot is so relaxing and satisfying. Wonderful camera work and production, tiny focal problems and all lend to the perfection of this and the feel of its legitimacy and not advertisement. I have boots of differing brands but none compare to the comfort and all day wear-ability of my smokejumpers, which ironically, I could never afford when I worked wildland fire and instead have worn for 16 years every day in the concrete jungle and corporate cubical settings. Back on the ranch now I look at this build and how that heel and sole much more matches what I need when riding after cattle in the forest which forced me to put my Smokejumpers in the back of the closet. Beautiful,.... just beautiful.
White boots are superior to any other. They are the best looking, toughest, strongest, just like god intended. They are just better in every way just like in the good ‘ole days. They are worth the price and gets the job done. I will only let me my kids get White’s boots and they know that because they are smart and only get the best.😉
I've worn nothing other than White's 16" steel toe 16" Lineman Boots for over 20 years- my Armoured feet are still kicking the shit outta my path, pounding the miles of trails into place for those who might try to follow- my thanks to those who make my boots into a work of art-
Great video. The making of the footwear of the worker force. 7:04-the real work begins, tape the hard-working hands for the hand sewed satisfaction. Worth or more every $$$ earned to produce.
Guys that complain about the cost of Whites , Nicks , etc. should watch this . The craftsmanship, materials, man hours it takes to make these best boots . Kudos to Whites , Nicks , JK , etc. for making them right and here in the U.S.
What an incredible video of the process, i currently have 3 pairs i wear Regularly, I have sent one pair in three times for resoling “daily work boot” , these are the most incredible comfortable boots truly custom built to my feet. Love your product,
I have no idea what these guys are making but they deserve a raise! The attention to detail and craftsmanship is absolutely amazing! You can tell they have put in the time to really perfect their craft.

An awesome boot! Understandable collaboration, since you've done some excellent reviews on White's boots in the past but for me, thanks to you, the Smokejumper is still the king of the hill in boots but you still came up with an amazing boot, that's for sure. 👍
Apart from the painstaking process of making the boot, I am equally impressed by how efficiently that man works - No wasted movements. Everything he did was purpose driven and led to a superior product. Simply amazing. Like watching a great surgeon, musician, fighter etc.. Excellence knows no boundaries. Now I have save up so I can buy a pair.
Great looking boot! Love White's. Wore out several pairs of your packers. Switched to your smoke jumpers and just recently had a pair resoled. They look almost new. Nice Job!!
Absolutely Incredible craftsmanship and artistry! Made a buyer out of me and can't wait to order mine. It is like watching a Rolls Royce of Boots being made!! Thank you for this video!

As a union sheet metal working, I appreciate this level of craftsmanship and see the similarities in tooling and skills that not just anyone could pick up. Hope being a true cobbler is a trade that never goes away atleast in my lifetime, American handmade boots hold up to a higher standard that only true blue colar Americans expect.
Awesome. You guys definitely gotta get more of these types of videos out, I feel like White's gets far too few props compared to similar bootmakers. The hand welting on its own is a big deal IMO.
There's a reason quality comes with a price. This video is evidence.
That's not true. Many craftsman in the old days sold their custom wares for fair prices. None of this price gouging.
