Opening with this summer's inescapable "Dynamite" - the group's first single to hit No. 1 in the U.S., as well as its first song to be fully recorded in English - BTS leaned hard into the new track's celebratory, "Uptown Funk"-adjacent vibes. From there, the group dipped into its back catalog, seizing on the opportunity to showcase its quieter side while (mostly) staying uncharacteristically seated. The breezily propulsive "Save ME," from 2016, ultimately gave way to a full-on power ballad in 2017's reflective "Spring Day."
The latter track seemed especially true to BTS's hopeful nature: Introduced with a few optimistic words from rapper and singer RM ("It's been the roughest summer ever, but we know that spring will come"), the song reflects on a need to wait out hard times, even as the weight of present-day pain feels oppressive.
BTS had intended to spend 2020 delighting the BTS Army in arenas around the world, only to spend these last few months performing in isolation. Released on the last day of a grim season, "Spring Day" provides a nice reminder of what awaits us on the other side. We just have to get through fall and winter first.

MAGIC SHOP live performance is a whole another level of magical performance. The performance, stage presence, vocals, especially the line distribution for this song is amazing.
Jimin is known for having a really unique and distinctive voice one of my favorite singers 😁
Fun fact 9 out of 10 people use the word ‘angelic’ to describe his voice at some point😁

Jimin is an actual angel not only has an angelic voice 💜 in fact all of them are
Truest FACTS ! 💜
Why does not Jimin don't know how sit on normal chairs ?
- Because human chairs are not made for beings with wings!
Why does Jimin, one of their best cancers and very in tune with his body sometimes seem more clumsy than RM?
- Because as the last to join, he is youngest with this whole "walking thing". Angels actually glide, or plainly fly, not touching the ground, and Jimin sometimes still forgets he is supposed to be touching the ground and walking, so he fakes tripping to bring himself back to the ground, so to speak and also sometimes literally..
Anybody tell me I'm wrong, and I'll drown you with proof. 💜
(Possibly also in Proof, like J-hope in Snickers, but that is another thing. 💜)
I think the Jimin's Effect did its job 😁💜
Jimin's Voice Is so Unique he's Phenomenal 🔥🐥💛
Jimin's voice is a treasure
I stop breathing everytime my eyes come in contact with jimin
Jimin has a very funny aura
Jimin voice is angelic.l am big fan of his voice😍😍
Jimin's voice is so unique .u can never forget his voice even in sleep😍😍😍😍😍😍
My Jimin

Bts as always killing it, Jimin as always killing it 🔥
if you like jimin's voice, you must watch "BTS-FILM OUT" LIVE PERFORMANCES
Park Jimin stays sweeping em up bro
Jimin's voice.... aah, what can I say? There was a viral video a couple of years ago where a father was trying to calm a crying baby and whenever Jimin sang the baby would shut up and just goggle at the screen. Yeah, he has that effect on everyone (even animals).
I love JK's voice the most but I can see how some people can be drawn to Jimin's.
Oh my Jiminie 🔥
Jimin's voice ❤
Jimin's voice is always the icing and cherry on top😍
I'm amazed at your careful observation, Jimin is already known for his "angelic" voice.
YES ! Jimin is a true living angel. Not only he has an really unique and angelic voice but he is also the sweetest person and always caring for ARMY. 😭 Yeah ! The band is doing so great!! This performance is just flawless.
Actually, in 2020, they canceled their tour because of COVID, and both BTS and ARMY are really sad about that.
Underated live performance - Permission to Dance (at the UN)
BTS performed this song at the UN building, and they were the first artist UN allowed to do that. This performance always makes my mind warm. What a perfect lyric and boys for the dark pandemic era!
Definitely!!!
Also when the Tonight Show shut down Grand Central Station for them for a live performance of ON. That was historic too.
Yes, that's right! Jimin's voice is like an angel's voice!
JIMIN aka the angelic voice guy💜
U know spring day was written on 2017 that is three yrs after 'sewol ferry accident' where more than 300 ppl died drowning including 200+ students who went on a tour.
The lyrics like "how much more should I wait to see u again", "I hate u coz u left me", " wait a little more the morning will come" (coz the children were asked to wait overnight coz the help is on the way but they ended up drowning) were written from the thoughts of the survivors who miss their classmates.
BTS is so thoughtful and awesome
Not quite true, the song is not related to the disaster, it was written about missing old friends, RM has stated that this song came from him being in a park that he used to hang with his friends in, Suga’s was in relation to a particular person who went down the wrong path.
The video itself on the other had could be used to interpret the disaster - the closest this has come to being confirmed is Jin metioning the video relates to a tragedy, although he doesn’t particularly state which one.
I was just going to say that, the song isn't about the ferry tragedy, but the MV definitely refers to it.
Just what does written from the foot of the survivors mean? I'm sure there's another word that should have been put in place of foot?
@@larewi6765 the mv is related to the tragedy and certain lyrics are very related too, that's why spring day was, is and will continue to be a hit in Korea. Literally only once came out of Melon.
@@larewi6765 The members knew what the video was going to be about and they personally went to the memorial for the victims. They wrote their lyrics from personal experience (as they should) but being related to the subject of the music video. Imo. Lyricists can do both things. Use personal experiences as allegories for a different topic.
I really cringe when ARMYs rush to limit what BTS mean in their lyrics. They tend to share a little bit of what they mean while the lyrics reverberate with larger meanings not just this song.
Jimin really does have an angel voice ❤️ He looks and dances like a literal angel sometimes too. It's hard to believe he's from the same planet sometimes 😹
JK is such a talented vocalist🎤
The guy with the angelic voice is Jimin, aka Park Jimin, Most people who don't even know kpop know who Jimin is, due to his beautiful appearance and honey like vocals! He's the lead vocalist of BTS, main dancer, singer-songwriter and a dance prodigy making him the most versatile dancer. So many people know him even without knowing what kpop is. He has a blackbelt in Taekwondo, 8 years of kemdo, he can do popping, hip hop, he's a master at tumbling, he can do the splits (yes, i know, that's crazy), he has contemporary dancing background, and is known for his amazingly kind personality. Please react to Jimin Serendipity MV and Live performance! Jimin is an idol that many people love him but also have a lot of antis. Many youtubers who like Jimin often get attacked by Jimin anti-fans for praising him because the other members fans get jealous and will want you to praise him less, but Please don't pay attention to them. We like your videos. Thank you for your positive reaction to our Jimin.
Jimin is everything 😌😌
Love your reaction! and Jimin’s vocal made me an army! Pls react to BTS MMA 2018, MMA 2019 stage, too👍

You are right! Jimin has that angelic voice that touches your heart 💜 All vocal lines are no joke as well as the rap lines are also the killers! They are a total package 💜💜💜
Yes, there's a video of Save Me and even Spring Day. Jimin had that most distinct voice among them. I'm glad you are going after their live because many armys said that they are so good at live performances and in their concerts.
Have a nice day ahead of you. I enjoyed this one.
Jimin sounds REAAAAALLY REALLY GOOD on Tiny Desk. His voice sounds clear, stable, and was def healthy! ;A; In fact everyone sounds wonderful on this performance. Though Jimin bias wrecked me hard when the video came out lol

The beautiful voice you are talkimg is Jimin guys check his song Serendepity live you will be amaze!!! And all BTS songs individual are fire, notonly because its fire but the lyrics itself are beautiful. BTS write their songs, they are not an artists that only perform but each of them put an effort in every songs they made
Jimin's voice is so unique that you eill not find any other voice in the world like him. They all are so good individually and equally as good in their solo work, which I am so excited to see over the coming months as they release their solo work

Queen Spring Day. She never left the Korean chart since release. She's been chillin' there for more than 5 years now. 💜💜💜
You literally stated facts this whole reaction video 😭💜
1. Yes Jimin's voice is an angel's voice rather he himself is an angel.
2. Yes they truly love their fans more than most artists in the world & the same for Army's too cause their journey is one of a kind & very inspiring. We both have relied on each other during the hardest times of our lives 💜
3. And yes all there voices are great

with a cancelled world tour, they spent a month creating numerous livestreams doing fun activities. it was out of concern for fans quarantined and scared about the pandemic. their content got me through very dark times.
Their band is Ghost Band and they are fantastic. This is the band Jimin refers to touring with.
yessssss SAVE ME has a MV ...and it's in single shot , like there r no cuts ...and will definetely enjoy , coz the choreography is a vibe ...and i am waiting for MAMA 2019 reaction guys ...excited

They actually have a pretty good relationship with their staff. I really respect them(their staff too) and it makes me smile when I see them interact closely with one another!
Yes. There are literally compilations out there where staff is laughing and the interactions with them and the staff. Maybe they can react to those videos.
Interpretation of Spring Day (you will get more of the references if you watched the MV)
There has been one constant theme: the tight bond between the members all on the cusp of adulthood. With BTS slowly growing up through this string of releases, comes the appropriate follow up to their tale in the form of the special album Wings: You Never Walk Alone, and its single “Spring Day.” the MV for “Spring Day” serves as a final wind-up of the narrative of loss and growing up that we’ve seen through the rest of the Most Beautiful Moment in Life series. This is where the group bids goodbye to the concept - and their youth - in a truly beautiful way. Following a frigid winter of teen angst and uncertainty, spring comes as a new beginning; the landscape begins to fill with new life, and new stories begin. And in true BTS style, they’ve managed to pull out some obscure literary references to tie into the plot of “Spring Day.” The most notable of which is the inclusion of the Omelas Hotel, in reference to the short story by Ursula K. Le Guin, “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas.” In the story, some residents choose to walk away from the false paradise to face a new world of uncertainty head on: in the MV we watch BTS finally choose to leave their youth behind and move forward into the future by boarding the train to spring. "Spring Day" music video also talks about the Sewol Ferry tragedy wherein about 300 people died, RM revealed, "I'm careful to talk about the Sewol Ferry tragedy but as a citizen of the country, I do believe we should feel responsible.", he continued, "We thought we could send our condolences if we could. We donated because we wanted to help the Sewol Ferry tragedy projects, psychology consultations for the victim families, etc.". RM also explained, "I did read a post that said the music video of "Spring Day" reminded them of Sewol Ferry Tragedy. As for the music video of "Spring Day", every viewer can have a different interpretation of the music or the music video because it depends on their mind so we wish to leave this open."
They love army because they stood by them side when everyone were fighting them and hate them for being talented
Jungkook king of harmonising with anyone rappers and singers singing is so effortless for him a great singer
Jimin's tone is so unique no one can imitate it 💜
Thats why he's golden maknae🥳
Jk can imitate jimins voice lol but jk can imitate everyone’s voice
Honestly i really love Jimin's and V's voice the most because they both have a unique voice but they all are equal and good to me💜💜💜💜💜
All vocal lines have different tone and style of singing, yet their voices blend perfectly together. My personal favorites are Jimin and V. Chefs kiss 💋
Love it. I'm 45yr old Army from Chicago and Love BTS. Jhope and V is my bias. V is soulful and Jhope personality and dance is familiar to me.
Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions.
DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly.
Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much.
Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly.
And dont get me started on their clothes, i mean Jiminie OMG i was just speechless and on a side note every members english has improved so much im just in love with it, also i love it when they perform with a live band as it just gives off another kind of vibe and its the best when they perform with a live band. Also the live band us called ghost and that's the band that goes on tour with them

Spring Day is a perfect performance. Music video or live. The stories behind it are something else entirely. There is a reason why it remained on the charts in Korea for years.
One thing about BTS is that you can tell that they LOVE their fans and they LOVE what they do! They love performing LIVE in front of their fans; it means everything to them. You need to do a deeper dive into Spring Day by first watching the MV and then the explanation video. (sorry, I don't have the exact information for the explanation video. But I am sure that someone else in the comments will probably provide it. It's 3:15 a.m. & my mind isn't exactly with it). It's not about a romantic relationship. It's actually about a tragic accident, Sewol Ferry Tragedy, where around 300 lives were lost, mostly children high school age. The song still charts in S. Korea. It's heartbreaking. I loved your reaction....nothing new there...LOL. Can't wait to see your reaction to the 2019 MAMA.
As someone else mentioned above, the song "Spring Day" is not about the Sewol Ferry tragedy. The MV for the song very likely is, and the explanation video by Italian ARMY is the best one, in my opinion. There is another video, but it is much more focused on symbolism in the video rather than giving the viewer a true understanding of the depth of that tragedy and how the video ties to it. The Italian ARMY video lays out the symbolism very nicely, but she also really gives you a picture of the tragedy and why it goes beyond being just awful, to being horribly tragic and infuriating.
O
They did SO much during COVID, literally, the amount of content they released during the pandemic was NUTS.

BTS are all Amazingly Beautiful n Perfect with their Unique Voices. For me, each voice touched a piece of My Heart. Since than Each one of BTS has a Special Place in My Mind, Heart m Soul. 🤟 BTS 4ever..
Bts did a lot during pandemic to cheer us up, the cook, the made speciel coffe, 3 members did Just dance (Jimin, Suga, Jin) the also had a online concert that 1.33 milj Armys paid for
ARMY and BTS are one unit! They love ARMY and we love them! The BTS logo and the ARMY logo fit together and form a shield...this symbolizes what we are TOGETHER 💜
Jimin is amazing 💎❤
Young forever fan chant on stage please 😩😩😩😩
That’s a whole goosebumps and shit😩😩😩😩😩
Some people definitely don't have the type of connection with their fans like bts. You'll hear artists say "I love you" and "thank you" to their fans without giving anything in return. BTS shows how much they love us and thank us not just through music but by trying to be as close to us as they can
Save Me is one of my favorite 💜
There was something so charming about this tiny desk concert. I have actually used it to introduce people to their individual voices. 😊 plus we always hear Suga Rap it's nice to hear the few times he sings.
every performance they gave their 100.1% that’s why its not boring to watch them
It was awful for them. They had a whole world tour that had put together after so much hard work. Suddenly Covid was killing people and borders were being closed, then personal lockdown hit. They were beyond upset. All the fans were distraught but they did more and more stuff online to fill out and their lonely hours. They put on a virtual concert where people actually bought seats and their live video streaming was up where we could see each other. I think we had about a million people. I think the tickets were about $25 US dollars. Their free concert last year in Busan had 40+ million viewers. Also the release of Life Goes On helped so many of us not to feel alone. Save me was before COVID but I could feel with Save Me a call out to all of ARMY. I’d be curious if ARMY membership picked up after that song.
V’s voice always gives me chills!! And he has such a wide rang.
spring day always make me cry
I am so happy you are enjoying BTS! Their music is a positive vibe but they don’t shy from anything. BTS’s music takes us from the depths of our soul to the cosmos. It truly is a journey of the heart and mind If you dive into their lyrics. They have some songs purely for cheering us up but the majority of their work has important messages. The songs have connections to life events, social challenges, literature, Art, Greek Mythology, even psychology. They share the good, the bad, and the ugly without hesitation even though they are in a culture where maybe that is not always done.
I am 61 years old and always listened to a variety of music and lived through the heydays of many musical legends. At first I thought BTS changed my favorite genre but soon realized there is no genre like BTS. A song hits different when it stimulates heart and mind and represents love, encouragement and truth all rolled into a beautifully uplifting song and story. This may sound very grandiose but mark my words, if you dive into the lyrics and messages you will understand how BTS has helped so many people through tough times in their lives. There is a reason ARMY says “You find BTS when you need them the most.”
I am loving your reactions!
Spring day is such a beautiful song and it’s still on charts so i think you guys should look into it and also react to explanation of Spring day
feeling like a proud parent right now 💜thank you. yes, save me have a video and my favorite well one of to many lol
Bow down to the Queen Spring Day that never left on Melon's digital chart
Yes, there's an MV for Save Me and for Spring Day. Save Me is a one-shot filming, so that makes it unique. Save Me also has a mirror song called I'm Fine. Save Me is about depending on someone else to rescue you, and I’m Fine is about being your own salvation, and the songs are filled with these reverse parallels, such as:
Big Hit promoted with an ambigram graphic for the song titles, so it reads one or the other depending on how it's flipped. (The graphic was created by a suicide prevention campaign and Big Hit just adopted it for this song pairing.) You can see the ambigram on the window in the MV for Fake Love, and it’s also flashed on the stage screen during some of the live performances.
Musically, the beginning notes of I’m Fine are the reverse of Save Me’s notes.
The lyrics throughout each are directly opposite in meaning, and in RM’s verse, each line’s placement is even reversed, so the first line in one song’s verse is opposite to the last line in the other song’s verse (“thank you, for being us,” vs. “it’s alright, even if it’s not us”), the second line in one verse is opposite to the second-to-last line of the other verse, etc. This visual explains best: www.pinterest.com/pin/572660908874745299/
The rappers even perform in reverse order. In Save Me it’s Suga, j-hope, chorus, RM. In I'm Fine, it's RM, chorus, j-hope, Suga.
I recommend watching a live performance where they start with an abridged version of Save Me and roll it into I’m Fine. The I’m Fine choreo is one of their best interpretive choreos, where their dance really brings the meanings to life! The Bangtan Bomb for the M Countdown perf is best for the choreo cuz it’s one camera focused on the whole stage with no cuts, but there are no subs and the sound isn’t the best. ua-cam.com/video/i2nRmxIQxSo/v-deo.html If you want a version with subs, I think MGA 2018 is best: ua-cam.com/video/PwhMm1yD5Xs/v-deo.html
As for Spring Day, this song is a cornerstone of their career. The MV has deep and sobering meaning, so if you watch the MV, please also watch one of the explanation videos afterward. In short, in 2014 there was a terrible event in Korea referred to as the Sewol Ferry Tragedy, government coverups were involved, and the gov't even blacklisted any celebs who talked about it. BTS released Spring Day in 2017, and the MV is filled with symbolism that honors this tragedy, which was a big risk. They've never publicly acknowledged the MV as connecting to this incident, but it's significance is so deeply understood by Koreans that to this day it's NEVER left Korea's Melon top 100 weekly list.
But although there's this embedded meaning to the MV, it also has beautiful open interpretation in its own right. For me, it very much relates to depression, feeling lost, grief in general. This MV is truly art.
The lyrics themselves are not directly tied to the tragedy, but rather they can be applied to many kinds of separation, loss, and grief. They're both sad hopeful.
And yes, BTS took the pandemic separation VERY hard. They've shared a lot about their grief and struggles during that time, feeling lost without being able to perform with a live audience and feel ARMYs energy and love in person. Jin shared that he went to therapy and he wrote a song called Abyss (released on SoundCloud) about his struggle. V wrote a song called Blue & Grey about his depression, orig meant for his solo mixtape, but later converted to a group song, which they performed live for MTV Unplugged. They did a lot of special live stream hangouts with ARMY during that time, doing arts and crafts, just things to keep people company and connect. They did COUNTLESS performances during this time without an audience, truly more than any other artist during the pandemic, ranging from recorded live tapings for TV shows in Korea and the US to multiple live streamed concerts that broke records for online viewership and profit. But at the end of one of their live stream concerts, Jimin breaks down crying because of how hard it was to not have ARMY present. These guys are just the most vulnerable and authentic artists you'll ever see.
TED TALK OVER lol.
Thank you for sharing!
There's always that one ARMY in the cs with their long essay... Thank you for writing ☺️

I thought their underlying unspoken little bias showdown was cute.😄
BTS messaging quite often occurs on multiple levels with music more designed for public consumption and music videos intimating what BTS feels it wants to convey but might not be as commercially viable. Spring Day is one of those songs. No matter how obsessed the West has become with Idol music, arguably South Korea's favorite form of music is a relatable ballad. Spring Day has those elements because at the time of its creation it was written to be just such a work. However, it quickly took on a new life as a complex music video was released with a remarkable number of references to a national tragedy and cryptic allegories of public corruption. The song was released as part of the You Never Walk Alone mini album, that title being meaningful at multiple levels in and of itself.
There is a percentage of ARMY who seem to be obsessed with originalism. They almost marginalize the song's ultimate usage upon release preferring to promote what went into the song's original composition.
While I suppose focusing on a song's origin has value, I think given the gravity of what seems to be how BTS decided to use the song, it might be preferable to focus on what BTS wanted to convey when the music video was released. One can mention the origins of Spring Day without making them primary. To me, the freedom to speak without retribution an event which was an outrage, filled with pain and probably preventable is central to why Spring Day is special. And interestingly BTS again used it to comfort people during the hurt of Covid.
These are things which make BTS special. Some can retreat to routinely elevating the song's ballad origins (that is their right), but to me that detracts from the fact that Spring Day is a perfect example of the kind of messaging which makes BTS special. Overshadowing this seems to lower the temperature on just how much heat BTS brings.
Guys when you watch Spring Day make sure you watch the explanation video too. And please watch Singularity by V.👍
BTS put out so much during the pandemic to keep the fans positive and moving forward. I will love them forever. 💜💜💜
harmonies. Check Just One Day, Truth Untold, Your Eyes Tell, Film OUt, Make it Right, Stay Gp;d. Tjere should be live versions of these songs.
Save me was first song i heard from BTS and it made me an ARMY! 💜💜💜💜💜
Spring Day has literally not left the charts in S. Korea since it was released in 2017. Also, when you check out the MV for "Save Me", know that it was a ONE TAKE MV. They obviously filmed it multiple times, but every time was the entire choreo until they got a single take they were all happy with. :) There is also a behind the scenes making of for that MV if you're interested.
MY JIMIN 😍😍😍
Save Me was the song that brought me to BTS 💜
Yes MMA 2019
They always have deep theories for their songs. And yes there's a MV for SAVE ME. And of course, they all have their own signature coloured mics
During COVID BTS never leave their ARMY for nothing, they gave us Dynamite to console our pain and sadness and its their first song to reach BILLBOARD HOT 100 NO. 1 and we are very very happy. Within a year BTS pulled off 6 songs rrached Billboard hot 100 no. 1,im just flexing coz thats they are well loved by us ARMY
Save me is a masterpiece 🥺💜
If you check out "Save Me" separately, you should also do "I'm Fine" at the same time. These two songs "go together" - and the best performances are those that start with "Save Me" and lead into "I'm Fine."
Save me mv is really good. Its a one shoot type kinda mv, you can react to the behind the scene/shooting sketch too from bangtantv
Please watch the truth untold live performance more from the vocal line, you’ll love it! Harmonies are insane 🙏
Thank you for your reaction. And you’re absolutely right. I’ve not know any other artist who love their fans as much as these guys do. They attribute their success to their fans, thus everything they do is for their fans, even to be transparent during filming bc Suga has said that not everything they say or do needs to be censored bc they want fans to know that they’re ordinary people who suffer through the same life problems as they (fans) do, that BTS is just like them. Also, another unique aspect is that they were constantly working through the pandemic to put out social media content like their variety shows (In the Soop) and they even did an online concert (Sowoozoo Muster in 2021), in which there were 1.33 million paid viewers. And it was great to be able to live stream the concert with drinks and snacks at home when we were somewhat still on Covid lockdown. I can’t explain the joy and happiness I felt being able to watch BTS perform in front of an audience who were all on monitors set in front of the stage. And the stage was even uniquely built in purple. All made possible by BigHit. This is the one and only BTS, they’ll never be anyone else like them. Best wishes on your journey in getting to know BTS and I hope someday you three will be able to attend one of their concerts in person. 🫶🏼🫰🏼
