This was in the middle of the pandemic. They had to cancel their planned world tour tour and were unable to perform live anywhere and could only appear online with no audience apart from the camera crews etc and their band which was why Jimin said "Miss you Army". 💜💜💜💜💜💜

This is how I found them. I am a fan of NPR Tiny Desk when I “discover” them. This was BTS still high from their 2019 Love Yourself Speak Yourself tour and you can see and feel it! I agree that rappers can make some of the best singers! Jimin is unique among the vocal line and J-Hope is the most unique among the rap line. But I love them the best together. Glad you enjoyed that. Jungkook harmonizing with J-Hope several times is amazing and, from watching the behind the scenes for one of these, he did it on spur of the moment. That's why J-Hope looked over and gave a little smile to him. There can never be another BTS because I don't think anyone will ever find the uniqueness each of their voices and styles brings and the way they work their voices together. Bang Si-Hyuk, the mastermind behind BTS who brought all these guys together, is a genius because he could see the talent in them even when some of them couldn't see it in themselves. I'll let others tell you more about Spring Day, but the original meaning had to do with a tragic ferry incident that killed hundreds of school students (though for political reasons, BTS never has stated that officially). The lyrics can be interpreted how you want them to, and here BTS used it to represent the horrible "storm" that hit us all in 2020 through 2021 and part of 2022. They were going through it just like the rest of us and hoping it would have ended sooner. They had to cancel a world tour after postponing it a couple times.
"Spring Day" is called the Queen of all BTS songs because it never left the charts since it's release in 2017. It is a lyrical and musical masterpiece, you should watch the MV and definitely the explanation video because it is speculated that a lot of the visuals there references the Sewol Ferry Tragedy, one of the deadliest ferry disasters in South Korea where almost 300 students died. The song was originally written as a song centered around friendship. The lyrics talk about friends missing each other and being unable to meet. RM stated that the video focuses on the visual representation of the song's lyrics and can be interpreted in many ways but it has become unofficially the song and the video that pays tribute to the lives lost in that tragedy.
This song breaks my heart. They wrote this song in memory of the heartbreak of the greatest Korean tragedy since Korean war. There are explanation videos to explain. Have Kleenex handy, you will sob. It took a few years before the guys could get through this song without at least one of them crying. I hit pause. I can't listen to it without it making me sick for hours.

BTS is KNOWN for their live performances. The emotions, the performance, the energy they bring is unmatched. If you like J-hope, you should react to his lollapalooza performance that happened last year. i think it really elevated him as an artist and he became a total rockstar. a sample of live performances that i find very emotional are the truth untold (vocal line). born singer (the older one where they all stand on the spinning stage). and Outro: Tear (rap line) the live one with all the green laser lights. To give you some context on the last one. During the time they wrote that song, they considered disbanding. Suga wrote it first, and the rest of the rap line added their versus to it. When they shared it with the other members, they all broke down together. You can feel the emotions in all of these. and these aren't even crazy choreo performances. If you want to see another side of BTS, i suggest reacting to the Spring Day MV, along with the explanation videos. The italian army one is good to give you the explanation behind the tragedy that happened in Korea that this video is based on (allegedly, because many artists were blacklisted/banned if they spoke on the topic). and there's another explanation video that focuses more on the hidden messages in the video. Not sure if it's too soon to introduce you to the BU. But I Need You was another MV that made me realize BTS was not just some poppy boy band. The lyrics in this one is "I need you GIRL", they only used girl because it sounds better, but the song is actually about needing each other. Quite frankly, your previous reaction videos seemed a little disingenuous to me (i could be wrong). Which is why i'm still watching your videos to feel you out more, but i haven't subscribed yet. BUT i thought you guys were genuine in this one. I hope you will continue on your BTS journey. Seeing you all get enthralled and emotional to Spring Day made me emotional too. I’m a 2020 ARMY and this was the performance where I really noticed Jin’s voice for the first time. It’s also my absolute favourite rendition of Spring Day. The emotion is palpable and the vocals are perfect.
RM's vocal is so yummie, dark, deep and I also love it when he sings what gets me is all 3 Rappers have such nice singing vocals as well. They all harmonise so well. They are all round artists. Real Showmen.
They’re all extremely talented in all aspects of music. Their diverse range of vocals are displayed so much better in live performances. Counter tenor is very rare & along with Jimins unique tone he’s absolutely incredible. Tae’s baritone adds a beautiful depth. Jin’s high notes are amazing. Jk has wonderful & stable vocals. Then the rapline!! Nobody like them. Joon always shines brightly. Hobi is so versatile & an awesome all rounder (does a lot of the background vocals in their songs). Suga’s rap is great too. Please listen to the live version of their new song Take Two. They sound amazing. Jimin shines tho. He is all through this & sounds incredible both high & low register. Suga did the most incredible job producing this song making sure they’re all tied together & it can’t be sang alone. All 7 members must be present to sing it. Jk’s arrangement of the background vocals was brilliant!! You’ll go a long way to find a song of this calibre anywhere.

I have watched the Italian Army's explanation and it is very good. I don't know if there is a better explanation or which explanation is considered the best and most accurate. Ask my fellow Armys, they will have a better answer. This song is known as "The Queen". It has been on the South Korean Charts for 5 years up till 2022. 70 year old Army here. You simply must react to the Spring Day MV that is loaded with symbolism. Then you need to watch an explanation video for it. I have watched the Italian Army's explanation and it is very good. I don't know if there is a better explanation or which explanation is considered the best and most accurate.
