+KrsJin Nah nah nah nah, thank YOU! You know, after editing it for as long as I did, I was able to pick out several things that could be improved if I were to do this again. So I owe a friend a favor, and he... "requested" that I do Mika. (heh. yeah I would) So...looks like I'm gonna get a chance to work in some of those refinements...
My main is Vega, so this video was waaay too much helpful for me. Added to my favorites, and you have my like. Thanks for uploading this kind of videos. Greetings.
+Christian Altamira You are so welcome and I am super glad to hear you like it! Vega is my main as well which is why he was the first one I did. Labor of love-type thing, you know? His video is lacking some of the polish the other videos have because I originally only intended to to Vega. The response from the community has been near overwhelming however, so I have kept doing them. Once I have done all of the characters, I plan on re-doing this video with better editing and the overlay like the other videos have. Thanks so much for watching, and keep on stabbin' fools! Hey! No one implicitly said I couldn't bring a wolverine claw to a fist fight!
Glad to help out! =) If you are curious, the hitboxes for Season 2 can be found in this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLxVYfE5Cp4lGGcEAID31fSSnlYqmlb6qS.html Also, I don't know if you noticed, but individual moves are time stamped in the descriptions to make them easier to find. Have fun playing, and I hope you level up!
+SeeNoWeevil I'm glad you're enjoying them! I will move the Red Cyclone up the wait list. Birdie will be out shortly, then probably Alex as he should be out really soon.
+mightyhealthy Haha yes it would be. I am curious to see how this game evolves over the course of the year, and what balance changes they decide to implement with that data.
Thank you for your question! I can look into this for you rather quickly since you are just looking for the numbers. I'll try to have it by the end of the night. Hang in there pal, I'll find it for you! ;) I'll be re-doing Vega's hitbox video once I finish the rest of the cast (currently Rashid and Cammy). This whole hitbox series started as me just trying to help out the Vega community with tech that we don't normally get as Vega tends to be an oft overlooked character. That's why his video seems rather primitive to the rest in the series and why I accidentally left out a move or two. After doing basically all the cast at this point, I have a much better and more consistent workflow and normalized templates to help make the videos what they are. Not to mention the advancements in the hitbox viewer that Tom has made. So I am looking forward to making Vega's hitbox video on par with the rest. Thanks so much for watching!
WITH CLAW *On Hit* They are put into a juggle state that lasts for approximately 29 frames. When Barcelona Attack connects the landing recovery is reduced to approximately 8 frames (normally it's 30 frames). So depending on how high you are when you hit with the attack, you should have about 18-19 frames to hit them with EX Aurora(12 frame start-up). I tried it 3-4 times and always had 18 frames. *On Block* I was always at -1 or -2 on block depending on high or low I was when I did this. This almost seems too good to be true and I want to test this more, but it's late and these are the numbers that are showing every time I do it. If I get a chance to test it tomorrow and get different results, I post another reply. Otherwise these numbers stand. WITH CLAW OFF *On Hit* Vega seems to be at +7 frames no matter how high I attempted the attack. Upon landing the hit extra deep, I got +8 frames. So if you're higher up and get the +7 frames, st.MP is a 1 frame link and cr.MP is a 2 frame link. If you don't mind being scrubby about it, I was able to mash out the st.MP link with a frightening amount of consistency. XD *On Block* No matter how high, I always came out +1 on block, and deep enough I came out at +2 on block. Again, this seems to good to be true. As it's late I can't test it further, but I will tomorrow. If I find these numbers to be inaccurate, I'll make a separate reply, but if I don't, the numbers stand. EDIT: I consulted the SFV Bible, and it confirms everything I found for the Barcelona Attack numbers with claw off. This leads me to believe that the numbers for claw on are correct as well. Hope this helps you out, and as always, thanks for watching! =)
So ... - Normals: some of he´s Kick HBs make sense, almost all of his Clawless punches make sense (except jumping), maybe 2 claw attacks make sense ... - Specials: most of them have great HB ... with the exceptions of the Barcelona-Izyna which has NO THROW Box in his arms at all .... grabs with his face ...... , and EX Barcelona Initial flying to the corner which is terrible (should be AT LEAST pushed forward a bit, or make it to that of his knee) - VT and VS: All ok or great.... rose is like a red dot ... - CA: Knee HB should be push forward a bit
+Jaime Andres Gomez Bastos Gomez Bastos Good observations! I will say that when playing the game, specifically for the EX FBA, having the knee's hitbox higher helps with using it as a full screen anti air, and having the Izuna Drop throw box up so high makes it easy to grab opponents who seem too high to be grab-able. You essentially grab them with your toes. =) I've had situations where I have used that EX FBA hitbox to anti-air even though the opponent seemed too high for the knee to hit, gone to the wall, come back to them and again, they seemed too high to do anything with, but the Izuna Drop still connected. Thanks so much for watching and posting your findings!
can someone correct me if i got this wrong? from what i see the yellow boxes are what can be hit by your opponent and the red box is what hits the opponent?!
Thanks for the question! The yellow boxes within the characters are actually their "pushboxes". It's what causes characters to not pass through each other and helps dictate what attacks are cross-ups when one box goes over another in the air. The red boxes or "hitboxes" are indeed what hit the opponent. I suggest taking a look at this video to help you understand what you are seeing. The descriptions has a table of contents if you don't want to watch the whole thing in one sitting. ua-cam.com/video/DngeE1q_95A/v-deo.html Thank you so much for watching! =)
Appreciate this man. As you mentioned, that had to have been a lot of work. Really well done. Thanks!

+dienkag Happy to be of service!
I'm really happy you did this. It's a really good tool to have, please make more vids like this ;_;
+Reggie Gaston You got it, mon ami! =D
Wow. This is amazingly useful. You know what would be more useful? Time stamps for all the moves!
+Daniel Kaltenbach Thanks for the suggestion, and oversight corrected!
Thanks for doing this! Had to check out his super

Fantastic videos. Would be great to see Gief!

It is very helpful ! Thank you very much !
+Ef Chu My pleasure! =)
I wish EX FBA had the same hitbox as bloody rain.
That would have been godlike.

that was very useful thank you
Can someone give me the adv hit and adv block frame for both claw and clawless Barcelona attack? Can't find it. It's his walldive attack

Vega under water fighting 😬
The hitboxes in this game are soo bad, good lord, can't wait til tekken 7 comes out early next year, that will be an actual polished fighting game.
