It offers an intimate look at the diverse range of people going about their individual, and individually complex, city lives - a filmic treatment of the 'Humans of New York' story-telling approach.
Eerie, haunting yet enveloped by a sense of peace and acceptance, ‘When We Die’ sees Tricky take hold of a new zest for life he has come to possess: “If you don’t accept death you don’t really accept life”, says Tricky.

Seeing Tricky and Martina work with others over the years since they split is like watching your parents dating others after a divorce. Sure, you treat their new love interests with respect and smile courteously...but you know in your heart(and they do too, I imagine) that it's just not the same.
Their romantic entanglements may have proven too difficult to sustain, but their musical marriage will live forever as one of the greatest love stories of all-time.

She’s amazing on her own, and I love her. I’ve been a fan since I was a young teenager in the 90s, when TripHop was born. I hate to actually admit this, but he was lost without his muse. There are a few good songs on the album that she’s not apart of, but the album generally suffered for it. Just my opinion for what it’s worth. No matter, I still love both Tricky & Martina.

I came here because of the new album. Tricky always gets me with his music, lyrics and video's.
This new album will be epic. I just hope he makes the tracks more expansive this time. Incredible hooks on his previous stuff of course (False Idols is such an underrated recording) but just as you're getting down in the depths with him they're over. But god, the sound on this one. Still the greatest trip hop artist in history.

Two of my fav artists since I was in junior high over 20 years ago. And I don't know how Tricky does it, but every album is better then his last, always for me. And hes prolific, what an artist.
