    • @thedude2820
      @thedude2820 Рік тому

      @@quangle-zi2oz interesting point....as I truthfully ask myself this question, it leads first to the question as to how innocent were all that died? I am being truthfully honest with trying to answer you, but you yourself should ask yourself this to. It has been a very long time since I watched this and commented some sense especially if we look at the state at which things happen on a social level, but even on a personal level. 2 years ago my answer may of been different then today, it also depends on how you are asking the question, right? Just you asking this is important as to how I answer, not knowing you or your situation poses a couple of questions as how to answer..... I will answer but it may not be how you would like me to answer or even right by that as to which is the answer she would given it will also come with an additional caveat question as to the question of "as compared to todays standards". It is not right to compare it as apples to apples at all ...that I do hope you can agree to, standards are different today compared to then. That said, my answer today with the level of understanding or lack there of-of our lives on earth currently of back then: I don't know , but I fully appreciate her level of cleverness and fortitude to carry such a revenge out. Another caveat you should consider put yourself in her shoes, I have a strong sense of empathy, it is a difficult thing to possess, in the fact itself and to answer your question as I can not-not take into consideration all of which you say and my comment should of reflected that my admiration was not on the tragedy of results of any of the steps that resulted in the end but as to how strong of a will that it took to just cope with life after what she endured. personally she scares the fk out of me and its not my position to judge another sorrow but will appreciate the fortitude to see oneself through it.....Not knowing you I hope that answers your question, feel free to lmk if it did or didn't answer you correctly. the whole mess is a far deeper subject then just one question to be asked, that I hope you can agree, as the first answer would be a question inofitself truly.

    I am surprised that they have not already made a movie out of "The Lioness of Brittany". It is perfect movie material. Not only was she a strong woman, successful in her massive revenge campaign, but she also found love at the end and had a happy ending, if you could call it that. That kind of outcome doesn't usually happen in real history. Its usually the kind of thing you only see in movies, which makes it perfect for a movie.

His wife knew of his and the other 46 ronins plan, but he couldn’t stand for her and his children to see him the way he was. She supported him but left with the children willingly because she agreed the children did not need to remember their father as a drunk. All 47 ronin were buried together and are remembered as warriors for carrying out their samurai duty of avenging their master.

I declared peace with Kangaskhan and gave him what he wanted but I told myself I will get Revenge. I started a mass Army build up then invaded Japan to the north to bolster my Army. Then invaded Genghis Khan I defeated them and had most of North Africa under my control. Then I bit more than I could chew by invading India India counter attacked and destroyed 70% of my Invasion Force. Had no choice but to fall back to the Border it was a great game it was the first game I ever played where I was actually a Powerhouse. I was new civilization I was learning how to play it

Due to this, gunpowder was introduced into Europe. I could even argue that this the moment that the huge power vacuum in Asia is what allowed Europe to start becoming a global superpower.

They couldn't live dishonored because it was like death to them, so they said fuck it and avenged their master. All because some asshole wanted a bigger bribe. They did nothing wrong in my eyes. They should make a movie to commemorate them.

    Could’ve included the story of Chao Ma, one of the five from “Three Kingdoms” warring period in ancient China. He was the young commander of a province in Northwest China, and was one day presented with the heads of his father and two brothers who were killed by the top warlord Cao Cao. He dedicated his life to revenge and led 200,000 men on continuous battles against Cao Cao and defeated him many times.
    Or the Bulgarian Orthodox king Kaloyan, who responded after the Catholic Latin forces of Baldwin 1 conquered Constantinople and burned 2/3rds of it - the Latin’s committed many atrocities during this period according to sources after their community was itself massacres by Greeks in the decades before - but this didn’t have much to do with the Bulgarian Kaloyan who battled Baldwin’s overconfident forces at the Battle of Adrianople in 1205, wiping them out and bringing an end to the Latin Empire. Legend has it he turned Baldwin’s skull into a drinking cup after lining it with silver, because Baldwin made a pass at Kaloyan’s wife while he was in captivity.

    The greatest act of revenge was when Arya Stark daughter of Ned Stark of Winterfell, fled to Davos to train to be an assassin of the faceless men. After many hardships she returned to Westeros where she killed Walder Frey's sons, cut them up and stuffed into a meat pie. She then disguised herself and fed Walder his sons before slitting his throat. Taking Walder Frey's identity she invited all the Frey men to a banquet where she poisoned the wine. At the toast, she praised the "brave men" for killing her pregnant sister-in-law, her brother and her mother, reminding them of their horrific deeds as they drank the wine. One by one the men of house Frey fell ill vomiting blood on the floor and on themselves, convulsing in fits as the poison took effect. She then reminded them that they should have killed all the Starks from root to stem. As the last Frey fell. She removed her Walder mask, turned to the girl and told her, to tell everyone who asked what happened that she should tell them, "the north remembers", "tell them winter has come for House Frey"

    9:55 "Usually by personally beheading them with an axe"
    Even back then ships' crews where 12-24 men so I kind of doubt that they''d take the time to behead them all, let alone that she did it all herself, one by bloody one... her own crew would get bored of that *very* quickly.
    Besides which; we barely have evidence that she existed, let alone what went on on those ships...

      There is numerous evidence suggesting she existed. Ubisoft Immortalised her in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag for the love of God and if you doubt someone Can and Will Personally Behead 34 men in an Act fueled by Revenge and Retribution then you sadly underestimate the Human Race.

    Boudicca was flogged, and her daughters raped. Her revenge was killing 80,000 Romans. The ashes from her sacking and burning Londinium are still found in digs.
    For a society as patriarchal as imperial Rome, the fact that a woman
    had succeeded in killing so many Romans was disconcerting, to say the
    least.“Two cities were sacked, eighty thousand of the Romans and of their allies perished, and the island was lost to Rome." www.livescience.com/37061-boudicca.html

      Desna Chillidyn There's a mini series on Netflix called "Warrior Women" with Lucy Lawless that told the story of Buddicca, as well as Joan of Arc, the story 'Mulan' might have been based off of, Grace O'Mally, and Apache Native American Lozen. Great mini series.
