Just 2 things I wanted to point out and maybe I missed them but first as far as Daryl w needing gas for his bike. We are all under the assumption he just ran out of gas and went along w this group. My thinking was he already knew bout them and it was just a ploy for him to get into that group and either see why they wanted all these walkers or our group already knew bout that scientist and they were tracking him for whatever reason. I don't buy that Daryl just went into an unknown group blind for gas. He was there for a reason and put himself into that group. My 2nd point was that went that variant walker went after guy on ship and tore him apart, why the heck didn't he eat that guy right away? He tore him apart but left the free lunch to then turn and chase after Daryl. What??? No walker leaves food. So are the scientists making them not hungry for flesh which means they are legit turning them into straight up super soldiers who even can bite will not try to eat and can be used as their army. Even if a walker gets distracted, they will always eat & I don't buy it that the scene was just to show off a variant. I think it was to show us they are taking away their base desire of biting and eating!! Just my opinions
One thing I know is that things gonna get messy in that arena, remember that Isabelle & Quinn & at least 3 more of their group are in there (the girl & her boyfriend plus the man with the hat)!!! PS: unfortunately I predict Daryl getting severely injured by that scary Bane zombie... 🚫
This show really is just going strength to strength with each episode. Norman has always been fantastic Daryl but he’s really outdone himself and stepped it up even before He really stepped it up when Rick left and has stepped it up even more, he’s proven himself to be a great lead
I think how Daryl reacted to Laurent cutting the rope is a throwback to his own upbringing with his dad. And I think he recognized it too. This had to be one of the best episodes on the entire TWD universe!
The emotional outburst from Daryl was pretty heartbreaking as, in my opinion, it paralleled likely what his abusive father did to him. Episode 1 did a good job reminding us of that showing his scars & Isabelle asking about them. Heartbreaking for him to instantly regret it realizing everything with the cycle of violence and just wanting to get tf home.
You guys may not remember but S10 during the battle of Hilltop against the Whisperers Daryl use a morning star as his weapon of choice. Guessing that’s his new favorite weapon besides his crossbow lol
The best episode yet. And I have a feeling Carol was talking about Morgan and he came back looking for rick since i did see in ftwd he mentioned him being uncertain if rick was still at alexandria or not, so id imagine he would go there first. She could also be talking bout Dwight maybe.
I don't know, I just don't feel like Carol would tell Daryl, especially in the way that she did. because let's be honest, why would Daryl care? those 2 never really had much of anything together
This episode is great! The black eyed walkers are insane! The only thing I did not like was Laurent cutting the boat free! They could have had the militants find him in a different way? Laurent would not want them to get caught. I get he has no life experience but he has experienced fear.
Except Laurent’s purpose for cutting the boat had nothing to do with the militants, he just didn’t want to be left alone at the community Daryl was bringing him to, some people actually had the pea brain to suggest that Laurent is worse then early days Carl and that’s so wrong.
This series just flew by quick. Next weekend is the finale and those variant walkers are awesome. Rick came back?? Hopefully they are in Rick and Michonne series.
@@dylanburton4955 They will most likely use them sparingly, to keep them special. And I think that's a good thing in the long run, if they just fire off all they have for walker mutants back to back, we'll be bored by it after a few episodes.
I loved it and agree with you guys, best episode yet. The way Issa, Quinn and Genet were dressed in the jail cells gave a WW2 Casablanca vibe. Loved it
Daryl first used a Morning Star in the S10 episode "Morning Star" ever since then it's been one of his main weapons, that's why he has one on his bike in that first flashback scene.
Holy sh*t TWD took this to a whole other level on this episode, I was shook when that super walker came out..I almost peed my pants lol 😂 and the call from Carol was so exciting too, if they don't bring them all back together? Let's just say that would be a total let down.
Also, i think the whole reason French are in America wanting walkers are the simple fact that ours are not as evolved. They made it a point to say the fresher , the better. They were wanting those very base fresh walkers cause they make better samples in a purely scientific way. If i was a scientist and i am testing to make super soldier walkers, then i need a totally fresh non variant walker and America must have the least amount and therfore the highest chance of finding that perfect base specimen. I hope that makes sense cause i get it. Its actually perfect, just not sure im explaining it right. I think Oak says it so his way of thinking is spot on

Best episode of the series so far. Running walkers look insane. Happy we figured out how Daryl got to France and why he’s being looked for. Also, I 100% believe Carol was saying Rick or Morgan came back. Maybe even Dwight. Those are the only 3 people that make sense. I also believe these people are definitely connected to CRM
Daryl had an outburst towards Carol on the farm in the barn & another outburst towards Beth that night they drank together. He also went with the “Claimed” ppl seemingly out of nowhere, just like in this episode. Doesn’t happen regularly, but he has done this.
Daryl missed lunch, Carol turned up with guns AND Mercer. She expected him back from Maine in a week. Genet is about to @#$# around and find out. Carol is so headed to France with the Commonwealth army in tow!😂
Commentators, as to Daryl going with the car person in Maine. He had been out in the world scouting all the areas. He told the guy in ep 2 mid-west, Texas, east coast, sounding like he had been there. He was possibly aware of the camp/colony maybe not exactly what was going on. For whatever reason Daryl was taken on board as sushi for walkers.
Carol definitely said rick. She said "ick", he came back . The r got cut out. What im thinking is rick came back, but CRM Foumd the commonwealth, and rules over them😭 and thats why she was scared to say anything about rick because the phones are being monitored

One interesting thing to mention is also that the walker (runner) here got injected with something to turn into fast one whereas the one in world beyond was a human that turned into this variant. There has to be more depth to that part of story. will something go wrong with that injection that fast zombies will become the new walker or maybe this community are the ones who "made it worse" ?
Absolutely loved this episode! It was nice to hear Carol and I couldnt believe they did the "..... came back". Also enjoyed the story of how he got to France, and I didnt think it was a complete stretch/unbelievable story.
I think Carol said that Rick came back but without Michonne. Imagine, writers are saying that The Ones Who Live will be very emotional and it's only six episodes. It makes sense somehow.

This episode is proof that Norman Reedus needed a lot of prominence in the main series, he demonstrated his acting talent on many emotional levels in just 5 episodes, he deserved this "Hero" role much sooner. Daryl Dixon has a better story than Rick Grimes. Obviously they are both on different levels, but Norman is gaining popularity, not to mention that if Andrew had continued with his role, they would both be fighting over who is the main character of the Walking Dead series.
Maine isn’t too far from Ohio. Also, it seems like he’s been away for a short time. At most 6 to 8 months. Daryl did promise to be back in a week. After that, Carol is going to worry and suspect that something has gone terribly wrong. Like when he didn’t show up for their lunch date. Carol knows that Daryl will always keep his word to her.
The 6th republic has nothing to do with the CRM. Cause right now the French are in there 5th republic so It's just her way of saying this is the next stage of the system.
I like the system that they have for dispensing fuel, though I don’t like the fact of why it’s happening. Ideally, it’s actually really cool: 1) you’re getting rid of walkers in the area (though, if I was running an operation like that, I would terminate the walkers after they’re taken in, in order to confirm kills). 2) you’re able to set up trade and cooperation through that system. Though we saw the pitfall of what some guys will do (like them killing the kid). 3) imagine using a balanced system between what the Croat is doing with the walkers, and ethanol trading communities. If a Community with surplus ethanol needs methane (which, as we saw was being made from walkers) and another community needs ethanol but has the manpower to capture walkers, they both can enter into trade. One community can capture, walkers, and exchange them for the other communities ethanol. It looks like a win-win, and will clear out the dead in the area. Now I will admit how long this will last is up to grabs and how big the population of the undead is in the area.
I dont think Carol was referencing Rick only cause wouldnt that have literally been the first words out of her mouth. Why all lay di da and then say it. I think it was Morgan back looking for Rick and that part got cut. Like maybe saying morgan back looking for Rick. Idk. Just seems like that would be first words she would say as important as he is
I have 2 theories . Carol could be talking about Morgan or Dwight who both could return and theory 2 is that it could be Rick and Carol is unhappy because Commonwealth and CRM are in conflict with each other and maybe Carol saw Rick as a CRM soldier and their enemy. She would definitely be confused and happy at the same time he's alive n well .
What's likely going to happen at the end of this series is the involvement of the CRM. They will probably find out Laurent is immune/invisible and take him as well as Daryl which'll likely be how they reconnect in the Rick and Michonne series. I also predict that at the very end of all of the walking dead shows after the CRM and commonwealth work their differences, France will invade the US with variants. This'll be the final battle of the series and i predict will end with some sort of immunity/invisibility cure like in WWZ through the use of Laurents blood. Lets see how accurate this is.

So yeah I believe by the flashback with Daryl before getting on the ship on Twd last episode when he said goodbye to carol and the kids that was maybe a couple of weeks before and Morgan turned up during that time frame Daryl left so carol won’t get suspicious of Daryl not turning up in a week or so because he’s only been in Paris for afew days then when she does get suspicious she will go to Maine because that’s his last location and see that group he was with ask questions and find out stuff on where he went and takes a boat to Paris lol
So when the flashback started he said he was on his way home , so did he just decide to not bother and go back lol , I wanna know how long he was out there for

There’s no way she said Rick. She would have said “Rick is alive.” And it would have been the first thing she said, she would have said it immediately. It’s someone else. I haven’t caught up on FTWD but some people think Morgan or Dwight.
After much debate, I've decided "dwight came back." I feel like carol woulda lead with rick or michone. I dont think Manhattan has happened yet in dixon. Morgan said he was heading back. Dwight/sherry are in fear 8b previews having made it to sanctuary.... i would prefer morgan... but i think its dwight. Daryl told him to never come back. Carol would mention if he did, and not sound chipper about it.
You know it got me thinking, if these upgraded walkers (welll more like runners now lol) bit a human, I wonder if the humans will turn into super walker cuz if it is then that's a wrap for the human race

These new walkers are ridiculous. These are not walkers/zombies, they're ghouls. I just think it's ridiculous science fiction that they can hit a walker with a blow dart that automatically pumps a serum into a walker and turns it into a super zombie. This is something for Marvel Comics, not The Walking Dead. The variants we saw on the original show were fine. But these new super charged things are just stupid. I wouldn't really mind a running and screaming walker like we saw at the end of "World Beyond." But this? It's hard to imagine that in the world that's already been developed in these stories.
Since the variant walkers are hyper intelligent i'm going to make a strong guess and say that the blood and guts camo and the whisperer masks wouldn't work against them

I just want Rick and Daryl to meet again
I dont think Carol was referencing Rick only cause wouldnt that have literally been the first words out of her mouth. Why all lay di da and then say it. I think it was Morgan back looking for Rick and that part got cut. Like maybe saying morgan back looking for Rick. Idk. Just seems like that would be first words she would say as important as he is
I have 2 theories . Carol could be talking about Morgan or Dwight who both could return and theory 2 is that it could be Rick and Carol is unhappy because Commonwealth and CRM are in conflict with each other and maybe Carol saw Rick as a CRM soldier and their enemy. She would definitely be confused and happy at the same time he's alive n well .
What's likely going to happen at the end of this series is the involvement of the CRM. They will probably find out Laurent is immune/invisible and take him as well as Daryl which'll likely be how they reconnect in the Rick and Michonne series.
I also predict that at the very end of all of the walking dead shows after the CRM and commonwealth work their differences, France will invade the US with variants. This'll be the final battle of the series and i predict will end with some sort of immunity/invisibility cure like in WWZ through the use of Laurents blood.
Lets see how accurate this is.

So yeah I believe by the flashback with Daryl before getting on the ship on Twd last episode when he said goodbye to carol and the kids that was maybe a couple of weeks before and Morgan turned up during that time frame Daryl left so carol won’t get suspicious of Daryl not turning up in a week or so because he’s only been in Paris for afew days then when she does get suspicious she will go to Maine because that’s his last location and see that group he was with ask questions and find out stuff on where he went and takes a boat to Paris lol

After much debate, I've decided "dwight came back."
I feel like carol woulda lead with rick or michone. I dont think Manhattan has happened yet in dixon. Morgan said he was heading back. Dwight/sherry are in fear 8b previews having made it to sanctuary.... i would prefer morgan... but i think its dwight. Daryl told him to never come back. Carol would mention if he did, and not sound chipper about it.

These new walkers are ridiculous. These are not walkers/zombies, they're ghouls. I just think it's ridiculous science fiction that they can hit a walker with a blow dart that automatically pumps a serum into a walker and turns it into a super zombie. This is something for Marvel Comics, not The Walking Dead. The variants we saw on the original show were fine. But these new super charged things are just stupid. I wouldn't really mind a running and screaming walker like we saw at the end of "World Beyond." But this? It's hard to imagine that in the world that's already been developed in these stories.
