The hills behind Stanford are quite nice to run in too. I used to train and race in the hills about twenty miles north of there.

The watertown canyon trail is amazing. I did that trail about a month ago and it is just an amazing view

It'd be interesting to me if one day running with weight becomes a common sporting event. Like probably cross distances for hiking pack trip type weights and sprints with heavy weight, but not so heavy you're speed walking.
I think some sports already have this but im not quite sure tho, surely not a common sport event

@shrankai7285 that's actually really good, rn my fastest is 18:49 and it was my 2nd race this season and my last race I was sick and ran a 20:50 so I improved by more then 2 minutes.
Update on my pr is 18:36 rn trying to push for a sub-18 before the season ends, and also that pr 18:49 was not a full 5k it was a 2.96m so I went up more then just 13 seconds
Since you guys have a deal with On do you have to race in Nike cuz Stanford is a Nike school or can you race in On stuff?

Waterton Canyon in Littleton! Start off the Colorado trail once you get up about 7.5 miles. It’s great but if you want some real pretty running go for Deer Creek Canyon which is about 10 minutes away :)

Hey, do you have any advice on how to improve that third 1.1 miles of a 5k race? Im a junior in high school and I’ve been pretty good about hitting around 5 flat in the first and second mile but I always fall off in the third. Is there a good type of training to help with that? Thanks
try doing longer runs just to add more endurance.

mostly about mindset on the last mile, if you can run 2 straight 5 flat miles you can for sure run the last 1.1 within 5:30 if you just keep up the mindset, also just lengthen ur stride on the last mile, more pain but a longer stride just keeps the rhythm goin

I'm a Coloradan. We have a lot of wildlife, but if you see a mountain lion, I would advise, stop running.
