Shit kickers' I need those on stressful days😊 love your work bro'
Links are not working for me 🙁
Can you do a episode on NRS boundry boots, they are like a moccasin version of muck boots
I gave up on Muck because of durability issues with the uppers wearing out, and switched to Dryshod Max, which are some of the best-made footwear I've ever had. I'd love to see a whole range of these waterproof work/chore boots tested.
Heard very good things about Dryshod... Seem to be preferred over Xtratuf (which I think Muck/Rocky now owns). I believe Dryshod is owned by the original creator and owner of Muck Boots. Interesting...
Agree. My boot uppers seem to always separate from the sole.
@@chadjazeera9960 yeah, Dryshod is Muck refugees, supposedly an improved version. My anecdotal experience bears that out.
Plan rubber boots are the only way to go.
@@bryanwilliams6032 I guess that depends on your needs. I've done a lot of farm, construction, and outdoor work, and while rubber boots are convenient to throw on sometimes, they're all basically disposable and not much fun to wear for extended periods.
I’m a plumber in a city and often work in giant mud holes 30’ below the street. This is the first year I went with Muck boots and I couldn’t be happier. Having to stand in mud and water above my ankles through the day was miserable before them and barely noticeable after. I’ll never go without them in my rotation again.
as a scuba diver i have no idea why neoprene isn't used more for warmth on land. I can stand around outside in only a wetsuit in the middle of winter and be just fine.
I have a jacket made of neoprene. It's warm as fuck even tho it's only a few mm thick.
@@TheJohn8765 thats what im sayyying
you would get all wet with sweat because it does not breath
I have worn a thin wetsuit inside a drysuit and a rain layer over a wetsuit, is surprisingly effective on a cold dive, so hell yea. A loose fitting wetsuit on land would be good
neoprene is warm and waterproof if you're out hiking and moving around even supposedly breathable gore Tex and such makes you soaking wet with sweat, I have worn the micky mouse boots totally waterproof and you have to change socks often or you are squishing in a puddle of water. @@whatnow9653
Dude. Bogs boots. Rubber coated neoprene. I found them when my kids were in a Waldorf school here in Chicago. They spent several hours outside every day all through the winter and never had a problem. Horse people also love them.
I work in vineyards and got Bogs to handle the cold and rain. Waterproof and warm, although I think they could have a gnarlier sole.
People here in Eastern Canada wear bogs alot too it's great for our winters
Yes please do the tall ones! If you could compare them to the most popular hunting boots, Lacrosse Alphaburleys and the Alaska tennis shoe, Xtratufs that would be phenominal.
Yes - this would be really helpful and would give duck hunters some really valuable info. If you wanted to get crazy and do waders boots that would be fantastic. Lots of people spend a lot of time in waders in the fall and winter❤
If you're doing rubber boots, do the Xtratuff. There's a reason they are the state boot of Alaska!
Would love to see a video showing Dryshod vs Xtratufs vs this brand!
I’ve been wearing my Muck Arctic Sport boots for almost ten winters now in the WI woods. They spend even more time in the horse barn than the woods. I had a pair of Muck Woody boots for almost 15 years before these. They are excellent boots!
Mucks are my go-to shoveling/high snow boot for Minnesota. They’ve held up for 4 winters so far with no cracks or delaminating.
I'd love to see the work version. We wear the cheap walmart versions for work as land surveyors and while you can't beat the price they aren't remotely comfortable.
Still use my pair of Mucks that I bought 12 years ago and as good as the day I bought them. Not the most comfortable nor stylish, but definitely my go too for snow, rain, mud, or yard work. Really convenient for getting on and off too.
i have neoprene gloves for working on my pond when it is cold and they work great dipping your hands in 45 degree water is no fun the neoprene is totally waterproof and insulates even after years of use and i can just wash it off and stand it up to dry
When I used to work in the Bakken in North Dakota we all wore Mucks in the winter. I still have mine, Artic Pro steel toe.
I've been hunting in Muck boots for years. Love em!
Skellerup Quatro Sport for me, much nicer than my old mucks.
I love my muck chores… for when it’s rainy or if I’m gonna be working in mud… not good for tree work cause you tuck your pants into them… so all the crap flying out from the chainsaw goes in them. I have a pair of nicks I use whenever the work requires it… you can never have enough boots!
I slept on these.... until they reached out with a sponsorship offer lol. But good on ya, can't keep track of everything. It looks like they have that coating on the bottom to classify them as "slippers" and avoid import fees.
I would definitely like to see the "work" version of these analyzed.
Mucks are great, I have two pairs, totally recommended as a yard boot and for snow shovelling. Easy on and off.
Goofing around on a wet day, gardening in the yard, moping large work areas, anything that is wet/muddy go with these. Anything really muddy or really wet go with the full-length pair. I always stepped to deep for these to be a good choice when I'm wearing them. Also, the easiest way to dry them is a hot day in direct sunlight. I prefer to tilt them to where the sun can shine into them if they're really soaked. I'm to cheap for a boot dryer. 😂
Vessi and crocs are the “best” at the moment!!. Thanks for the vid.
Not sure I need a whole series, but I do love my muck boots. Perfect for OR dog walks and foraging and camp
I have Muck Muckster II Garden Boot - similar to the one shown. I love them - most comfortable boot for the cool wet seasons . They keep my feet warm enough in winter with good traction in snow. My feet don't get too hot in the other cool part of spring and fall. Best of all is they slide on and off very easily which is great when you are in and out of the house a lot. My first pair lasted two years - still were okay but the bottoms showed some wear and sidewalls of the uppers were getting worn and not sliding on as easily. They were only sixty bucks on amazon sales so well worth the price.
Got muck boot but also bogs and both are great for Scotland with its tropical weather
I own several pairs of muck boots. They are amazing!
I love my Bogs 'Roper' boots. Waterproof, warm, and while they did crack a few years ago, they repaired easily with Gear Aid Aquaseal and the repair has held up well. Two other pairs of waterproof boots have failed in the time I've owned my Bogs.
I tried Bogs and Muck, and haven't had much luck with either. I'm in Dryshods now which are fantastic.
@@proscriptus I've heard of them, but no experience with them. My kids were given some Bogs, which we really liked, and started me on the path. Wife also has a pair for several years now. I've had mine for at least 8 years, with one repair in that time. I wore them for the entire day recently at our local Winter fest and they're still comfy, warm, and dry.
I've had a pair of the wetlands for almost 10 years now. Hunting, fishing and hiking all winter long and I don't think there is a boot as warm, comfortable and waterproof for the money. Mine are finally starting to dry rot though after not using them much last year
Muck have been the shit for hunters and outdoor dudes for a long time. Nice vid
I absolutely LOVE Muck boots.
I’ve had a pair of wetlands for 6 years now and they’re still warm and waterproof.
The holes in the insole are to move air around the inside of the boot. Great video.
I like muck boots, have had a few pairs /variants. Size down a whole size in them. I like Kamik’s as well, some Kamik boots are made in the USA and Canada too.
These boots remind me of my Viberg Stompers, got them for cheap because they were being discontinued, lasted me 10 years, sucked that they couldn't be resoled :(
We need A review for Xtratufs, both the old school ones, and the deck boots, weather your on and off boats, working in the shipyard, or just live somewhere wet. There my go to wet weather work boots.
Have used muck boots for many years on the farm ,very easy to put on, and they stay warm in the winter. Not great for summer use as your foot will sweat like crazy but they keep the water out.
Would be a good winter kayak fishing boot
Mucks quality has gone way down since the business was sold. Dryshods are my new choice.
I stuff newspaper in mine to absorb moisture
Hey Rose Anvil, I wanted to suggest doing a cut on the Iron Age Moc Toes. They retail for 140.00 so I wanted to see what kind of material they are made of. Keep up the great videos!!
My Rocky Snake boots are waterproof all the way to the knee.
Modern purpose-built waterproof boot shootout time? There's a couple competitors in this niche, would love to see them compared.
Had some mucks that were nice while they lasted. They just didn't last long. Maybe a few months before the upper split at a crease point.
Muck boots are the only waterproof rubber boot I wear. I've been wearing them for 10 yrs. I get a steel toe and actual waterproof boot. Their great for work. Hang a pair between bed of truck and cab. You'll be reaching for them often. Amazing boots imo. And slip off easily if ya need to put climbers on
I see a boot type like this being geography specific footwear. If you live in the desert area out west from Texas to California, water is not our issue for sure. They seem to be pretty good so for people in wet locations, good luck.
I am a professional wetland scientist and swear by my (17-inch men's wetland boot) muck boots. The only problem with them is that briars absolutely TEAR through the neoprene uppers, and I only get a year or two of fieldwork out of them.
I like the Muck Chore for cold weather and xtratuff uninsulated for warm weather.
Every member of my family has a pair. We love them.
I own three pairs of Muck boots. For wet, cold, and muddy, they are hard to beat. BUT!!! Like the bunny boots, they don't breathe well, so my feet end up wet from sweat at the end of the day. HOWEVER, even wet, my feet stay warm and no external water leaks in. I like them.
Test the Muckboot Arctic Sport
I have a pair of the tall ones and they work real good they are a bit warm in the summer time in South Texas but they are better by far then rubber boots. But I still wear other boots and just keep these in the truck for when I need to go through mud and muck or water.
Plz cut/review the full size muck boots! Note: some of them have some VERY different soles! The "hunting" style is my favorite.
"Fell point...hill slip..."
I have a pressure washing business and have been using Mucks for 25 years. Never a wet foot.
Debes aumentarle el sueldo al editor de tus videos, hizo un trabajo fenomenal.
I was certainly disappointed with my Muckboots, neoprene lined with vibram winter soles full length boots. The heel lining in my right food failed and split within three weeks. I kept getting blisters on the heel and the reason was the neoprene stitching failed. Customer services blamed me for the issue saying I had bought the wrong size. (Here in the UK) I bought the correct size.
Great 👍. Yes please show the taller boot, I'm wearing Jim Green but I'm in tall wet grass every day and I could use some more height of they're worth it. Thanks 😊
Dude, seriously get yourself a pair of BOGS Workman boots. Extremely comfortable, 100% waterproof with the seamless design, rated to -72F, 15" tall, non-slip sole, etc. They're unbeatable in the segment! I tried on all sorts of boots at various retailers and the second I tried them on at Cal-Ranch, I was sold! Plus, I have really wide feet and they fit amazingly!
It’d be hilarious if shoe manufacturers started making seams right down the center to guide Weston’s knives.
One of the few reviewers I trust with a sponsored review. These are on my wishlist.
Props to the editor on that morph. 7:31.
I had a pair of Mucks for working in rain, mud, snow. They never fit me well, I was between sizes. This year I bought a pair of Noble Taskmaster. Fit for me was much better, and much better arch support! The Mucks I felt I needed to use an insole, not with the Nobles.
I wish all boots had front and back pull up loops. I need them on my sheepskin boots. (my Kiwi Sheepskins have neither) I have had a pair of Muck boots forever. Needed them to work in a duck paddock. Nasty gunk in the pen. These were just a rinse off and let them sun dry. Perfect for that. (Doesn't the name, Muck, pertain to cleaning out stalls on a farm?)
Mucks or other brands are a necessity in Montana. A lot of ppl wear them as their daily boot almost the whole winter.
Chimera? Daaaamn son!
Please do the tall boots. I work outdoors in Florida and am still looking for a good set of boots for the summer rainy season.
Dude! You gotta review the Alpha M/77
I's appreciated if you would do a review on the Ariat Rambler Western Boots
We use muk boots all the time on the homestead. So what are some American made alternatives and how do they compare?
i know some people dont like sponsored stuff. but in someways i like seeing boot companies step forward and say "roast me". i like seeing good products highlighted and i dont have much interest in poorly made boots and shoes.
fair review. keep it up
I wear the muck style calf high for most of my work. However their big weakness is fire. If you get one tiny ember on the neoprene it destroys the boot. Otherwise excellent for mud and comfortable for up to 5-10 miles a day. Also over 80* degrees i only wear in the morning till I sweat through and switch to leather.
@RoseAnvil can you do a top 10 leather hiking boots video if you haven’t made one yet?
So I just ordered the SBB wallet. It is great! Though I am laughing at myself a bit over here because I carry a "cash" wallet just for bills, and almost never carry cash so this will be kicking around with me empty most of the time 😅
Idk, my blundstones are going on 3 years on my feet of every day heavy industrial maintenance work and short hikes and I could not recommend a better slip on waterproof boot than Blundstone.
Space age wellies
I don't have this exact style of Muck boot but I do have a pair of their shoes and it's hard to wear anything else. Just hard to wear in the summer. They get hot.
i work outdoors in NYC year round in all weather. most of my co workers wear muck boots or the cheap knock offs
I have a pair of the tall Muck boots and would like to see what’s inside. They are my deep water/mud/just need to slip something on footwear and don’t have to be laced up like my Bean Boots (but I prefer those for less water/more time/warmer weather.)
Would be sweet to see comparisons of the work waterproof boots (Muck, Xtratuff, Amazon brands, etc). And maybe even the shorter, “deck boot” style too. I’m curious which brands are actually more durable.
Ive known "Mucking" to be cleaning out a horses stall.🤷🏻♂️. It was early morning and she didn't want to muck the stalls until lunch. 🤷🏻♂️idk
I’d love to see a review on the le chameau chausser boots
Used Mucks in South Africa, feet will sweat. I switched to Jim Green
How does the comfort of the Muck outscape compare to the redback?
Could you do some Umberto Luce boots? I bought a pair of the BSMC Umberto Luce boots and would love to know if I bought some good boots or got ripped off lol
Right off the start, lessons from my younger years. Playing and working in fields.
That boot is too short to even worry about water proof and the biggest issue. There is no way to fasten to your foot.
I wouldnt make it 10 mins before sinking in the mud and having it pull off my foot.
Id have to rig up some kind of strap to keep it on my foot and not lost in the mud 🤷♂️
Having said that i do like the idea it just needs to be tweaked a little.
Thanks again for the video!!
They have tall ones, to under the knee. But, I have been deep in mud to about 4 inches under my knee, and they would have came off if not for their pull loop which i used to pull them out so they wouldnt come off. But I was the only one who was in that mud that was warm and dry.
@@thisismylovehandle at that point is when i pull out my neoprene hip waders 😂 yup im the guy that always has his hip waders near by.
I guess a guy could always just use some paracord with the taller ones and tie them off around the ankle (ish) area. 🤷♂️ this might cause some excess wear though.
Any chance you could check out QLTY boots the next time you do a budget Moc toe comparison? They retail around $160 made in Mexico I believe.
Can you do a video on Russian ichigis, a modern interpretation. I have a source to go through. I would be curious how they stack up to the army surplus mukluks
Would like a Keen vs thorogood vs redwing for moc toe wedge sole work boots.
Single piece leather whole cut boots are about as waterproof as you can get as long as you maintain them.
Can you do a “Untamed Street” boot review and a exotic leather review?
Toaster🐱🐈
You didn't test retention.... how much muck does it take to pull them off your feet? As is I would only use them to take out the garbage.
The only thing Mucks have going for them is easy on/off. In this style
of boot there are so many brands that do it better and offer things like ankle support, longevity, a good shank, etc. Irish Setter, Bogs and LaCrosse to name a few I have experience with. Many other brands I haven’t experienced that may be better. Mucks are the Yeti coolers of the boot world. They may have innovated their design, but other brands are doing the same or more for less money.
I just bought steel toe and shank muck boots.
Hey cool video can you do Nike foamposite please?
this design has gotten it better than older Muck's, but I still think they will fail where all of them fail...the junction or overlap of the neoprene and the rubber. My wife and I live in Oregon and she is a horse girl that is in the mud all winter, and every Muck lasts a year or so and fails in the same place where the neoprene and rubber overlap. Even if the neoprene is full length, the constant bending at the rubber line causes it to break thru the neoprene. They also aren't THAT great traction in the mud, surprisingly. My duck boots (Schnee's and LL Bean) have better handling, traction and clearing in the mud.
Someone please explain the “cut centered score” when he’s halving the boots. Is it just how well he cuts it down the center?
Yes
We need the Balenciaga 3xl Sneaker!!!
Dryshod vs muck vs xtra tuff
Tall
We need it !!!
Puncture test!
Been using cordura shell boots with thinsulate & gortex in the winter woods for 25 years. A Fleece & Neoprene boot would not be a viable replacement under any circumstances.
Why not cordura over neoprene? Cordura is just fancy labeled denim fabric anyway. I've had jeans made of it.. no real difference if you're actually wearing them with purpose.
