      Just translate your footage to a bigger space > do your work there > then translate it to Rec709.
      In my case, slog3 to DWG to Rec709

    This was a much needed video for me, thank you! Do you have any tips on how to incorporate the color checker into this?

      Well if, for some reason, you didn't shoot at the appropriate kelvin, the color checker would just help with adjusting the white balance.
      You would likely have a white balance node towards the beginning. Since you're seeing the rec709 base, it should be easy.
