  • Thursday morning update on two boats trying to navigate Oregon Inlet that grounded Wednesday night. The boats had been fishing offshore for bluefin tuna, and #WickedTuna #OuterBanks just happens to be here again shooting another season.

Native commercial fishermen have been saying it for generations, the inlet isn't a joke. But it is a necessity to save our culture and way of life. I would think it's more important than tourism. The growth on the Outer Banks hasn't brought a lot of positive with it. Even visitors preferred our slow paced paradise when compared to over crowding, higher crime and the ridiculous cost of living. Now we are just another destination on the coast.
At least pleasure craft aren't blocking the passage and everyone is accounted for. I imagine it made for scary nightmares. Thankful they are safe!! Hopefully, they can get them refloated.

If you're not running aground, you are not out enough.
