Exploring Washington: Sol Duc Falls, Salmon Cascades, & Lake Crescent

Part 2 of my Washington Adventure included exploring Sol Duc Falls, Salmon Cascades, and Lake Crescent. I was scheduled to go whale watching this day; however, when high wind, waves, and storms changed those plans, I changed mine too. While exploring Quinault Rain Forest, I happened to stop and chat with some folks who actually live about an hour from me in Ohio, and they said Sol Duc Falls was a must see. Thanks to their insight, I was not disappointed. While salmon aren’t quite whales, my fascination with seeing the salmon make their way up the cascades was probably on point with whale watching. I loved watching the salmon persevere to accomplish their goal. If you’re ever struggling to follow the adventures in your heart, think like a salmon. If you get pushed back down river, don’t give up…fight for the life you’ve always dreamed of having!
