- I wish to play this master piece even in original version some day. But it's too difficult for me.
Piece was compossed by Chopin, and it's played by brilant polish jazz group- Andrzej Jagodzinski Trio.Movie was recorded in studio of Polish Radio in warsaw, I guess it was about 10 or 20 years ago.
Enjoy
I really love how it still contains feeling that's in original butterfly etude.... they totally nailed it!
Can't get enough of this. Every time I listen I can't keep from smiling and bopping my head along. My passions for both Chopin and jazz get combined into this brilliant tune.
Same I just love it! The buildup to and the moment the bass and drums come in is just so serenely happy for me
Imagine Chopin hearing this jazz version in a dream and waking up all feverish and excited, thinking he has just invented jazz!
Well he actually did, improvising all the time during his performances. Plus, this piece originally sound like a jazz tune already.
I did
@@fryderyckchopin484 Hi Chopin!
@@T-J-S hey dear
@@fryderyckchopin484 can I be your student?
thats why i respect jazzers, even though they dont generaly play music i like, they are perfectly capable of doing it :-D
This is definitely how Chopin would do it if he was born in the 20th century. lol
+Jordan Fischer You are sooooo right! :D
Jordan Fischer I think Liszt, too, would dig it.
times 4
@@victoza9232 chopin and liszt both are piano gods bahahaha
If Chopin was a ragtime player :)
+Jozue Coronel and stride ;D
Chopin invented ragtime Im starting to think
we just can believe in it.
I'm starting to think the ragtime players of the 1800's would have probably did something like this by ear back then.
Remarquable! 👍🎼
me either your's. You're lucky. I play only 4 years. I have always wanted to play the piano but nobody thought that I could. So when I grow up I went to music school. I played trumpet and flute, but most I like piano.
144p master race
Shadilayyy It's SLAVp due to Chopin's polish nationality.
Chopin is the father of jazz
Completely awesome. Even more catchy than the original version...
Lol loving the Marlboro reds in the top pocket
Interesting. Beautiful. Worthy of respect...
I really do not get why people can't enjoy a jazz and classical fusion? Is it so hard to get set afire by music that you must listen to one type? Right now, I am making a vigilante attempt to have a (rap-hip hop) and (classical-jazz) combination.
throwback to 6 years ago - so how did it turn out?
@@CMLPoP Did the fusion with a couple gospel songs. Turned out pretty well.
throwback to 8 years ago - so how did it turn out?
@@wicked5999 Didnt they just say it
@@aphraxiaojun1145 That was a throwback to 6 years ago...
This is absolutely mind blowing ._.
the buterfly étude is one of my favourite masterpieces, and adding jazz to the mixture is just... wow.
Lovely! A nice pearly piano touch going on from the pianist.
I like jazz version of the etude. Can they also do other etude? I wonder.
Making this version worth 1million dollare
I think this works really well because the butterfly etude sounds like a ragtime on its own. Precursor to the ragtime maybe?
I must have listened to this a hundred times by now. If Chopin could hear this awesome rendition, it'd bring a smile to his face.
Where can I get this tune, by the way?
lol that is a nice sound !
didnt even know chopin could be played such jazzzy like that!
I love coming back to this from time to time. It’s like an old jewel, or faded opals. So many memories. Thanks.
I really like this.
Amazing. (:
this is amazing
it's fantastic! i hope i can learn the jazz version...
gonna be honest, i like it
Love this … as I've said before, over and over!
I haved played since i'm 5 years old...
I'm twenty six now and still working very hard everyday :)...
I really like your music...
I am so happy to see this
the most unbelieveble shit I ever hurd
but bandwise brilliant
So Cool Jazz ❤️
So intrigued with your jazz version of this beautiful etude! Happy you all decided to go ahead and share it with the world! :D
lovely
@cichasiagian I love classical music and I really appreciate this jazz arrangement as well!
Plot twist: 0:48 He pressed the button and that made the main theme play in E flat major.
Edit: Where did you get this video from, anyway?
This is such a great and funny idea and performance :)
At one point, I was crying ....
smiling.. and also happy..

Really good. I used to be able to play the original as a kid. This is one of those classical pieces which really works jazzed up.
Love it! My piano teacher would have a cow. Caramba!
This video is almost as old as me lol
this is pretty sick
hahahaa.
THX but it's not me!! (maybe for next 20 years).
Now I'am learning original version of this Etude.
Check out my other videos
unfortunately I have no more videos of them, but I heard some audio records and this etiude is the best of all.
...much better than any of this misunderstood, 'souped-up' baroque stuff..... any time!! The tempo and texture - and lightness of the music itself - lends itself to a slight natural and jazzy inégale..... Very convincing indeed!!!
very nice:D
This piece is amazing! Thanks to Chopin for the inspiration. :-)
Does somebody knows where I can find the sheet music please?
It's beautiful.. nice, the best :-)
Does ANYONE know if a transcription is available?
This is a must do challenge!
hah look at him puffing a joint away at 1:06
anyways amazing interpretation. I can play this piece on piano but i never thought it could be turned into a jazzy song
Супер! Как изящно!!!
めっちゃ良い
It's beautiful.. nice, the best :-)
So, Chopin was playing ragtime piano over 60 years before Joplin. Just reaffirms my theories that all jazz comes from from European classical music.
I'd call that Chopin's Rag.
10/10 from Australia, Chopin had met some black fellows and influenced by their Blue music.
I was not expecting that build-up to that improvisation. That was something entirely different and I love it.
where can I get the sheet music for this please tell me !!!
Jakuda87 was right...
I played some Chopin's stuffs but not some jazz which look easier...
I encountered a jazz song which has a very complicated notes, even more complicated than Rachmaninoff's prelude in C# minor..
This video always makes me laugh! lol
this is a bit difficult to buy.. amazon has one but not in stock.. either you go to Poland or download it thru torrent.. but, it took years.. i downloaded about 20% and gave up..
wow! i would never have thought to arrange it like that... amazing.
aahaha it was great !! really it can be called Chopin's Rag :D
...'you wanna see complicated "jazz", try your hand at a piece by nikolai kapustin, where there is clearly jazz influence. however, mr. kapustin does not regard himself as a jazz musician, nor his works as jazz tunes, being through-composed; measure by measure. identifiably, there is a set of etudes op.68, which marc andre hamelin, if i am correct, has compared its technicality to leopold godowsky's studies on chopin. jazz should not be discredited any technical adversity!
This combined romantic music and modern music very gorgeous indeed, hope you post more
PRIMA PRIMISSIMA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, they did.
Yesterday I found in google everything about them.
They are Andrzej Jagodzinski trio. He is a great pianist. They recorded about 6 CD's with jazzed chopin music.
I'm trying to download it 'cause they are awesome
Jagodziński trio i Janusz Olejniczak ;)
No, There are playin' Andrzej Jagodzinski, Adam Cegielski and Czeslaw Bartkowski

try to guess:] I've just finished music school, I am thinking about 2nd or music academy.
my god I love this interpretation. I've listened to this about 100 times now today. so incredible. I love it
thanks you for this wonderful jazz interpretation
wow!
I'd love to learn this jazz version, does anyone know where i can get the sheet music for this or if i can? its too cool not to learn :)
Hey did you end up ever finding it? I’d also love to learn it
I will definitely present this at the school festival a year from now.
I think this is a piano duet, isn't it? We see Jagodzinski with beard and another pianist playing some of the running figurations.
I've checked your page. you're really good. no doubt-you are much better than me. How long do you learn?
wtf!!? How this channel have monetizeation for yt!?!?!!?
I want to hear more of this. This is a very neat translation from Romantic to Jazz. Far better than anyone I heard so far.

you are crazy 8)
Nice job on this track ! Its just amazing . Do you work on other etude from chopin ?
Tak chlopcie!
This is True Art. Art consists in creating something new. I don´t like musicians that only play from the paper without knowing anything of what they are playing.
yo man, they're both art, please don't start a debate about jazz music vs classical music because no jazz musician or classical musician would ever insult the other.
UA-cam versi lawas memang gak ada lawan, gg
Il y a Janusz Olejniczak non? :)
yes, he's
first i saw the topic of the video i thought how this can be possible. But after listening to music i was really impressed. now i know arranging classic into jazz is pretty wonderful. i love your song!!
awesome...what a great jazz rendition of such a beautiful piece!
Bene!
You're wrong.
Why many professional musicians don't play: rap, pop, rock but classical music and jazz?
It is very complicated and difficult style.
First you have to perfect know title than change into jazz-it's something like paraphase.
Think about that.
Man. That's tight. I've got those headphones @ 2:25! They're half off since they're older models so consider them if you're looking for quality headphones. They're AKG K240 Studio.
Fantastic!!! Have you made a CD with other Chopin etudes in this jazzy style? And if you did, where can I buy it? And have you this piece on sheet music yet?
Im learning it too... Not so easy:S
what l love you
Slides so nicely into jazz :)
This was brilliantly done. Love finding these old vidoes on UA-cam. Fantastic!
Very very good version of Chopin's Etude!
