It's pretty well known that there are some Pokemon out there who we don't get to see the true identity of. Some of them have their true appearance concealed of hidden from us for whatever reason, but have you ever wondered what these Pokemon could actually look like? Well, in today's video we are exploring just that, as we take a look at what the secret true forms of some of these Pokemon could actually look like!

Oh
@hoopsandhiphop good luck on that ‘’pokemon ’’
Game
Zoroark has a orginal form because the hisuian foem reborn form
We shouldve also seen Calyrex and the steeds fused into one like the tao trio
I'm actually glad that someone mentioned Genesect. Felt that not only Genesect could've been the first actual ancient Pokemon to receive a Paradox version, but it could've been the first Mythical Pokémon to have a Paradox version as well
so does arceus not exist?
@@tom7274 Well, it's Canon that Arceus was the first to exist, so it's safe to assume Mew is the ancestor of all non-god Pokemons, Which means he's not the ancestor of Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre, Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Regigigas, Regice, Registeel, Regirock, Regidrago, And Regieleki. Though there's a case to be made for the ultra beasts too.
@Tom arceus created a few legendary pokemon, and then he created mew. Mew isn't the ancestor of god; it is the ancestor of all common pokemon. With some exceptions.
@@sumboir1890 first mythical Pokémon to have a paradox version. I might’ve not been specific on that last part
fr, we need a legends genesect
Dreepy line’s my favorite, hands down. It’s one of those rare fakemons that could probably fool me if someone told me it was leaked concept art or something. I’d wanna see what Mimikyu looks like under its cloth, but I feel like an important detail that’s lost in the design is that even taking a peek under the cloth could kill you, whereas in order for the design in the video to work, you would have to take its cloth off completely to expose the tendril things
It seems to me like the "if you see it, you die" is one of those Pokedex myths, like "Slugma is so hot, it destroys all of reality constantly" or "Mega Aerodactyl is the true form it held in the past, but it is also in constant pain in that form"
There is also Forretress who is similar to Mimikyu. its dex entry says its entire body is shielded by a steel-hard shell. What lurks inside the armour is a total mystery.
Cloyster/Shelder also are unknown.
@@chaostheultimayt not really cus u can clearly see clpyster
@@just_a_rebel8261 it is stated in a dex entry that their true appearance is unknown because of their shell. We can only see the head of Cloyster, and Shelder we can only see it’s face.
you guys don't get how clams work do you?
I'm kinda surprised you didn't do the Tangela line. Even though it's not as iconic as Mimikyu for being a disguised pokemon, Tangela was the OG mystery pokemon that I personally always felt curious about.
Yeah, I would've loved to know what Tangela looks like under those vines. Like what happens if a flamethrower attack is too powerful and it burns away the vines? What's left? Could a Tangela just use the vines shrouding its body as a shield and just regrow them?
Diglet's another pokemon I'd like nintendo to explore its true form. What does it look like under ground? I know he already covered this one in another clip, but it is a pokemon I wonder about a lot. What does it look like underground? And why does it seem so shy about revealing as such?
It's twisted vines all the way down
@@lordcheesus1013 all we can say about Diglett for sure is that it has feet and claws
@@M_Alexander the ground for Diglett that's around it IS it's body that's how brock grabbed a dugtrio he just grabbed a whole dugtrio so yeah. A brown hot dog with a face in a rock peeking out.
@@B7bba that would imply it has some sort of dirt shell to retract into. It's a mole, though; moles have those big claws, that's why it can learn the Cut and Slash type moves
I've got a small feeling that the original Dragon might not even have the same color scheme as its current members. Since the rugged and dark appearance of Zekrom and the more fluff and brighter appearance of Reshiram are supposed to be manifestations alluding to what each symbolize, and then there is Kyurem's incomplete and muted colors. I feel like it might have to be like a Golden color to signifiy unision, a sense of being complete but also divine. I did like the spheres details added on the design you showed, which reminded me of Chinese dragons holding orbs, and Dragons are typically revered as emperor or higher plane beings in Chinese mythology
You seem to be forgetting the Gnostic influences.
I liked the Mimikyu design, but at the same time I personally prefer if the true form was actually just the lower part of the disguise, not including the lopsided head part.
Agree
Exactly what I wanted to say. If the top of mimikyuu is just part of it's body, how on earth could the fake neck break after one hit??
I think it would be cool if it had just a ton of arms that hold up the top part.
I always thought that Mimikyu was just a little shadow creature that just happens to kill everyone who sees it (it doesn’t mean to), which causes it to doubt its appearance, and this combined with its grudge for Pikachu would be a motive for it to wear a disguise.. idk it just kinda of makes sense. Like just a small ghosty creature with self-doubt issues. (Edit because people won’t stop telling me that the creature in the video is a shadow-creature: the ‘head’ place in the disguise is empty now can you PLEASE leave me alone?)
I thought that was true?
So a pureblood heartless?
That's canon
THIS MIMIKYU FORM LOOKS LIKE A SHADOW.
for what we know about mimikyu, underneath the pikachu doll clothing of it, is just a blob of shadow that can cause death to whoever see's it. so no one should see it or look at what's underneath, in pokemon anime, meowth did look underneath it's cloth and almost died, but he can't explain what he saw underneath mimikyu clothing. if pokemon finally have something to show about mimikyu"true form" , maybe 20 more years or dont even expect that pokemon/game freak/creatures inc will show something about it. because mimikyu is just like the other "black monster or monster under the bed". just like wobbuffet & tangela.
I want past forms of the Galar Fossils so bad. Maybe even future forms where they adapt to what we did to them.
the Mimikyu design is cute but I think the Disguise animation shows the neck breaking specifically because the head isnt full of anything
Yeah, I bet the head of the costume is full of stuffing you put in plushies and mimikyu is just in the body of the costume.
The tricky thing about Mimikyu is that we can't use its disguised form as a guideline for its shape. Based on its arm/tendril things and the fact that it has some of the more spectral qualities of some Ghost types, it may not even have a fixed form.
What I'm more curious about is how it appeared before Pikachu's rise in popularity
I like to think that the dragon that the entire tao trio use to be was another form for Kyurem, since they said that Kyurem was the "leftovers" of the dragon and can fuse with reshiram and zekrom while reshiram and zekrom are unable to fuse with eachother
idk, dumb guess
For a future video, you should come up with designs for the Galar fossils' complete forms. That, I feel, would be very interesting to see!
not just the complete forms forms alot of fossil pokemon are not true forms as they have the added rock typing
There's a problem with the Mimikyu one: in Sun & Moon when you hit one & its costume breaks, where you put those purple tendrils lolls over to one side. So unless you're implying that Mimikyu take upon themselves grievous physical injury when they... take no damage, I don't think that's what they look like
I hope to see the orginal Copperajah one day when an India inspired region comes out. Also had an interesting thought of what Oricorio looked like before it drank any nectar and changed forms.
I could see it being rock/ ground, being an unrefined version of copper?
Mimicu could be a tiny eldrich horror pokemon that makes people die of fear because that's what mimicu could be inspired by eldrich horrors or cosmic beings if game freak ever decide to make a evolution for mimicu it would be explore that aspect of mimicu maybe make them look some what like Nyarlathotep or azathoth or maybe yogsithoth or shogoth or maybe the dunwitch horror but cuter and I love eldrich horrors because since I'm obsessed with this cartoon called villainous one of the characters is actually an eldrich horror
It seems to me like the "if you see it, you die" is one of those Pokedex myths, like "Slugma is so hot, it destroys all of reality constantly" or "Mega Aerodactyl is the true form it held in the past, but it is also in constant pain in that form"
@@herowither12354 yeah
I wish we could see what cubone actually looks like
There's a theory that says its a baby kangaskhan wearing its mother's skull, there's also a chance for cubone to call for a kangaskhan instead of a marowak in S/M
@@Marrucy this explains so may things
I always think that Mimikyu’s true form behind the cloak could be a legit eldritch horror that must not be seen.
Instead of anything like “haha it’s ugly” and whatnot. The same Bidoof and random cartoon character jokes over and over again.
That’s what I always thought
@@bman9967 Exactly. There’s no way people will die from a shock simply because it’s ugly looking.
I think we should get a past paradox genesect. Fatal Hunter or something similar to fill in the details about genesects origin appearance
Paradox aren't past or future pokemon, they are simply figments of an imagination brought physical form
Considering one mimikyu takes damage its neck snaps and it doesn't have any problem I don't think there actually is any part of mimikyu's True Form underneath that part of the costume I think a better explanation for that part is when it was making its costume maybe it's still some stuffing or some other similar things that used to fill up that portion of the costume so at first glance it looks like a Pikachu but if it takes enough damage the cartoon stuffing that part of the costume up snaps so it doesn't actually have any part of the mimikyu in that part of the costume it's just a decorative part two complete the Pikachu cosplay
5:20
I could not agree more. Also, Genecect is my favorite Pokémon, and this concepts makes me love it even more!
Also, a name I made for the dragon is Reshyrom
(Resh for Reshiram, yr for Kyruem, and rom for Zekrom)
Another video on pokemons mystery’s and deep lore! If you need to know something about Pokémon this is the channel! I love this channel ❤
Thank you, I really appreciate that!! 😊
This Dreepy line looks awesome. I also like the idea that Drakloak and Dragapult started using their Dreepy friends as weapons, only after dying because they’re now vengeful against whoever or whatever killed them.
Great video Hoops! Love the channel. :)
These forms look badass af
Also good luck on your game!
Off topic but good luck with your video game I can’t wait to play it
Thank you so much!! I appreciate it!! 😊
Love this, you love to see what Spiritomb unbound would look like!
I love how you mention your artist so much in the video ❤️
My only critique about the mimikyu form is it didn't have the tail that can be seen to be part of its body in its 3D model
Isn't the "tail" just Mimikyu holding a wooden stick to act like a Pikachu tail?
Personally I think dreepy's evolution line is actually anorith's evolution line, they have similarities such as body figures, they also lived in prehistoric seas
Mimikyu would be perfect if the top part wasn’t there because in the Pokédex it only measures the bottom part of mimikyu for height, so the head on the disguise is just the rag, and the bottom part is the actual creature
Yo dude, I loved this video. I forgot about the Dreapy line and how it would have looked like in the past. Great work dude! 😁 👍🏾 ❤️ 💯
4:39 that’s not scary, that’s cute. I love mimikyu
Edit: 6:33 imagine if the non modified genesect was a past paradox Pokemon. (I know there’s a theory that the paradox Pokémon aren’t actually from the past and future but it still sounds interesting).
Ahhhh you guys did the Dreepy line so well! I love them so much 😭
The Dreepy line is an absolute banger! Great design choices.
I'm not a fan of dragapolt myself but this concept I could get behind, giving me hammerhead shark meets Axolotyl/Salamander vibes & could link the Garchomp & salamance families biology wise being a shark dragon & a plane dragon
I do really like how the tao trio turned out, I would love to have a plush version of that to go with my reshiram and zekrom I got from the pokemon center.
Man I love that Dreepy line! All the designs are so good.
I feel like "if you see a mimikyu, you die" thing is a myth. After all, we know of several characters who have seen at least parts of mimikyu, and are still alive.
I think it would be cool if mimikyu's true form was in a future game, they could give it a rare ability to where the moment it gets out of the pokeball it would cut the pokemon's hp in half, or maybe give it a new status condition similar to paralysis or being frozen. Make it evolve into the grim reaper or something keeping it's pikachu disguise.
Genesect's form is really cool too and could easily be a paradox pokemon. I would make it a bug/normal though, since it has the similar concept to Type: Null/Silvally and Arceus. Give keep it bug/normal with the ability to change into a different typing that counters the opponent, it would still keep it's legendary status this way.
I would love to see another video with Spirit tomb, it's true form is kind of hidden from us since it is held in prison inside that rock, what if it became strong enough to break out, maybe by gathering more evil souls, I want to see a unhinged spiritomb and make it far more powerful while still keeping it's ghost/dark type.
In another concept let spiritomb evolve by purifying the evil spirits, let it turn into a fairy/steel type making it into the judging pokemon where it was redeemed and now judges any sins from any pokemon or person does, it would punish those who sinned or even kill them and take the place as the next spiritomb. It can be called "vengeanspirit"
I feel like for Genesect if they ever did revels the original Genesect, they could have it as the first bug dragon.
Mimikyu one looks very Cool!!
And also watching after 14 seconds of uploading!!
Love the videos and love your art style
I've always loved Mimikyu, and you just made him even cuter somehow.
The true form of Mimikyu could be a Paradox form of Mimikyu!
Just a sidenote, Medusa doesn´t have a death stare, it has a petrification stare. Basilisks have the death stare.
thanks random commenter. I’m currently brainstorming a fakemon region of my own and I wanted to have an evolution of a Pokémon I named Kyudu (basically just Mimikyu without a costume, instead wearing a handmade mask). The evolution would’ve been a rock/ghost type in which it would wear a stone mask and would have ghostly tentacles acting as arms and hair, with stone snake heads at the ends. (Hopefully you can imagine this in your head lol). After realizing this fact I’m not sure if I should do this or not. I mean, my region is vaguely based off of Greece so it would maybe make sense but idk. what do you think, random internet stranger??
@@ranting2daMAX sounds cool
7:49 I think I like the fangame Pokemon Insurgences take on OG dragon on the name. They called it...
Kyurem. It makes sense when you think about it
I think that Kabutops and Genesect's true prehistoric form aren't the same. They probably evolved from an earlier Pokemon, and maybe we'll see that shared ancestor as an Ancient form in the future.
Solid designs, this time round.
Now that you bring up Dragapult's real form... Maybe it could be a sort of Diplocaulus. 🤔
I liked this video a lot
I would love to see spiritomb next time 😁
The Mimikyu one is adorable!
I wanna see The 3 dragons true self again when they can agree something in common and also aside from mimikyu's true form looks nice i wonder how stong is it when its revealed
Glad the editor popped Lokix in the corner when you said Bug/Dark hadnt been used yet as of gen 9 releasing and the video came out 2 days ago.....was about to say "ahhh, think you're wrong one that one" 😅
I believe that if this Primal Genesect existed, it would be a past Paradox form of Lokix.
As a Mimikyu stan, I really love the imagined true form of Mimikyu. It just wants to be loved for itself.
Been thinking of an evo for Mimikyu if it’s loved for as it is, sans disguise, maybe a high friendship requirement. Would be a cool one to add.
This is a very nice video, but it feels weird you didn't mention Pineco and Forretress. They are like, the og hidden true form pokémons.
You should make a other video about this and put Wobbuffet because it says in a black and white pokedex entries that It desperately tries to keep its black tail hidden. It is said to be proof the tail hides a secret but, that is up to you.
The original dragon's name could be Orinjinal or Orinjinaru, making reference to the particles [ram-rom-rem] used in the other 3 and "original" in Japanese
I'm not a fan of the top part of your Mimikyu here. I feel like ince when you break its disguise the top part flops over that it's not a part of it's actual body underneath. I would want it to be a cute little shadow creature that maybe has a toothy look when it gets excited. Something like No Face from Spirited Away.
I LOVE the Genesect idea!!! I think this is a great look and I agree that it is most likely its own pokemon instead of a Kabutops.
Seeing the original dragon would be cool, but if the last Legends game is anything to go by, we likely won't go back far enough to see it since it's supposed to have happened THOUSANDS of years ago and we only went back a couple hundred at most in the last game.
I absolutely ADORE the Dreepy line!!!......and yes, the accompanying Dreepy are somehow cuter than the stand alone illustration.
Mimiku looks like a cross between a devils tooth mushroom and a octopus stinkhorn mushroom
I love it😂
I always thought mimikyu would be like an evil ditto. Like it is an Eldritch horror that everyone perceived differently. And turns into everyone's worst fears against it's will. The cosmic horror combined with visual horror stops people's hearts.
I'd love the see the Tao Trio in a game soon 😍 I love Unova
5:00 It is still kabutops in my heart.
I actually like the theory that genesect was orginally the lost 3rd Evo to parasect its a pretty intriguing idea to me
What a cool concept for a pokemon game gimmick Would be, is a gimmick where Certain pokemon after given a special "Prehistoric stone" or "Futuristic gem" they would evolve into either their ancestor or decendent.
I could see a Riolu or Lucario getting the prehistoric stone and evolving into it ancestor
Or!
Giving Kirlia either item and they would evolve into a different pokemon depending on which item they were given. Its evo probably being a fusion of Gardevoir and Gallade like Iron Valient. Except less robotic!
I hope that mimikyu actually just looks very cute and that the reason why its so deadly is because people just get a cuteness overload
It seems to me like the "if you see it, you die" is one of those Pokedex myths, like "Slugma is so hot, it destroys all of reality constantly" or "Mega Aerodactyl is the true form it held in the past, but it is also in constant pain in that form"
These forms do look pretty cool tbh
8:02 this would make a great past paradox form
Genesect and dragapult is my fav in this video I like their designs alot
9:15 It actually looks like a diplocaulus which is really fitting. Its an ancient amphibian found in North America and Africa with a wide boomerang head and a flat finned tail.
That Genesect design goes hard!!!!
i dont know if it was intentional, but your mimikyu vaguely resembles the description of elder things in lovecraft, basically main bodies with two wing-life extensions, and a head covered in tentacles.
the best part is in the lovecraft lore elder things are known to drive people mad, often to murder/suicide, simply upon seeing them. kind similar to mimikyu in that aspect.
Mimikyu is actually half the size of Pikachu, which means only the lower part is its real body, and the disguise head is just stuffing.
Kinda want to see the fossil mons from the Galar region had they had the correct parts.
4:31 i think it would be funny if mimikyu is actually just really cute under the cloth, but that the folklore and mythology of the pokemon world have propogaded a rumor.
Like its just a big pom pom under there-
I'd love to see the true form of Mimikyu and your design is good it's just not quite horrifying enough.
Mimikyu looks like the best ghost pokemon ever if we ever got to see that true form I'll totally catch em
The Dreepy line could be a regional form where in that region they didn't got extincted and is secretly living under the deepest parts of that region's sea allowing them to survive
The Mimikyu design doesn’t seem to be accurate, I’m staring right at it, and…I’m not dead yet
I kinda see the concept of the Dreepy line as Smallfry, Chum, and Cohock.
I like your mimikyu concept, but I feel like it should be way more eldritch and incomprehensible sense one of its main insprations are lovecraftian horrors. Yours is great, but too comprehended.
i love how the unova dragons tail resembles the statue of libertys torch
Well the original dragon has been shown in the Pokemon scarlet and violet paradox forms
The mimikyu reminded me of a bleeding tooth fungus. Good job 🍻
I LOVE the Dreepy line
Genesect still feels like it needs wings, get locust/grasshopper vibes and those buggers fly
Since the neck of mimikyu’s costume snaps when it’s disguise is broken from its ability, the at least head shouldn’t be part of the silhouette imo
I want either the legendary dog trio or any other modified mons
This made mimikyu go from my 6th to me 3rd favorite Pokémon
7:45 bro is bricked up💀
Dope dreepy line!!! Torpedo Dreepies!
Apparently the Pikachu head is a stuffed one, that's why when mimikyu is hit that his head falls off, because the twig holding the head up and acting like a neck snapped (giving yhe idea that someone went for his wrong head)
9:30 Dragapult’s tail looks like the dragon fossils from Galar
Did someone notice that dragapults past form has the body of Dracovish
The Mimikyu one probably wouldn't be like that because in the anime it shows as a sort of gas(?) So I think it'd probably be shapeshifting instead
The pikachu head has nothing in it as part of the special ability disguise, for when you hit it, it flops over and they take no damage
I realy hope There comes a game based on mimicu’s true form, and i think it’s a giant beast
Mimikyu shall search for a friend no more! All Ghost-types are my pals!
Mimikyu probably doesn't have that big thing on top and is just the bottom part because its ability is disguise as when you attack it and its disguise goes away its head flops over meaning that that isn't actually a part of its body.
