Chris l take my hat off to you for getting your runs done , I haven't run for two months with being tired and no motivation, but watching your videos has given me the kick up the backside I think I needed cheers. 👍

Always good to spot a fellow wearer of the Run Reigate buff… great running this week!

Thanks Nick, I do have quite a lot of different versions of the Run Reigate buff. They come in very handy.

You seem to have an upswing towards the end of each week which leaves you feeling positive for the next one. We've recently subscribed and are really enjoying the vibe on your channel. Keep up the good work.

That's true. I just need to replicate some of that during the week.

Chris, I loved the scenery in this video, especially the homes and town. I watched it twice. I have not seen these places in your previous videos. I really liked this one.

I think the weather helps to bring out the best of the scenery. I do tend to pick the nice places to hit the record button. It's not all like that in my local area but there are some nice backdrops for running videos 😊

@@HereWeAreRunning All of us have both ugly areas and beautiful areas in our hometowns, right? I always like the scenery in your videos of Reigate / Collier Hill and the North Downs Way, but this one was so nice with the homes and other buildings, since I am an American wanting to see England. I live in New York City -- which also has unattractive areas AND also beautiful and exciting views.

agree with everything you've said about the weather... It's felt relentless! We all have weeks where motivation disappears... and that's where habit comes in... Your regular habit of running solid on Saturday and Sunday will probably stand you in good stead come race day and has seen you continue your training uninjured and ready to do more the following week.

Very true Philip. I am pleased that until this week the weekly volume has been increasing and even though that didn't happen this week, at least the long run increased. Still happy with the progress.

Nice job, Chris. Winter training is always a challenge for me, as well. I do fine the first few weeks but then I often drop off. I'm trying not to drop off this year. Kudos to keeping after it!

Thanks Andy. Marathon training blocks last for so long. I think most of us find it difficult to stay motivated throughout. Not sure if I prefer Winter or Summer training. Both have their own challenges with the weather.

Nice going Chris! Thanks for all the motivation you're supplying me ( without you knowing 😀 ) Looking on Strava , Our training is pretty much mirroring on our Brighton Adventure .. you're just doing it a bit faster than me ( I'm old! ) As long as the BIG runs are going in the odd dropped run is OK as long as it doesnt become habitual. 🙂

Well done for getting it done Chris! I have been struggling with this weather a lot too but then I feel a greater sense of accomplishment once it's done. If it can help with motivation maybe we can arrange a run together? I have also been down to Horley on Sunday for my long run, average pace 6min/km. In any case, keep it going it's great to follow your training journey 💪

Thank you. My schedule at the weekends don't help my long runs. Always planning them around the kids football matches. With that and the weather I start each weekend not knowing which day or time of the day I'm going to fit the long run in.

@@HereWeAreRunning Chris, I am older than you are, so I completely understand how "life" can make you fatigued for running, or living! Good luck to both of us as we try to train for our races and recover, as older runners. I would really like to see you return to the Manchester Marathon and conquer it, after it hurt you the last time.😢

When - month + day - will the first(serious) *bloody hell it's so hot!* of the year be heard 🤔
    I'm thinking... March 24th...
Anyway - back to reality! - you are training well, putting the building blocks together for a successful year 😁

    • @HereWeAreRunning
      @HereWeAreRunning  Рік тому

Wouldn't surprise me if we weren't saying that even before then and then the next week it would snow. The only predictable thing with the weather is its very unpredictable!
Certainly feels like the building blocks are being laid and still plenty of time to go.
