    Chris, you were VERY wise to back off and shorten your run when you felt a hint of IT pain. I have had that injury, so I know how it can hurt. Good for you, to back off finishing the run and not straining it further. Hopefully you applied ice and prayer to the injury when you got home. I think I briefly saw some cows in the background, or were they large pigs? I loved seeing the horses and your beautiful country side. Go Pro's turning off in cold weather has happened to other UA-cam creators I have watched also. Unfortunate.

    Relief to see the video and to see you get back on track Chris. We've all been there and had disruptions. It's taken me almost 4 weeks to get back to where I was pre Covid. The plus side for me was it happened in December and there was more time to get back. The most difficult thing in training is dealing with the question of what you do after disruption. I think you were sensible not to push too hard on the long run... there's still time for another solid long run or two before you taper.

    Oh thank goodness someone else has had a bit of a bad patch of training. Starting to panic about the long run as I was ill last week. This is my make or break week for Brighton so hope I do as well as you did! Well done!

    Well done.
    Brighton will require careful pacing but you will do it (all things being equal 😉!) and do it well.
    Determination: I couldn't manage to get out the door for a booked marathon and then a week not even attending the gym and certaunly no outdoor running: anxiety/depression 🤔 or self-indulgence/self-pity 🤔? A matter of ideology what one thinks 😁
    A change of routine : car > 5miles to next town > costa. I did 4 miles yesterday and pleased to say 14 miles today: much off road, and hilly. Phew!
    10k in Weymouth in 2 weeks... then a couple of things booked.

    Really Good to see you back! I hung in there just with only 4 runs this but one was a 10 mile BUT the long run ended at only 11 instead of 18. Ran Saturday while trying to follow the Forest Game! Needless to say I finished on a High !! C'mon ! we can make it to the start line :-D

      @@HereWeAreRunning Hi Chris, Glad to hear that you are going OK. I'm doing fine. I'm still in remission for cancer. But had a fall at home and been admitted to testing, and now have a pacemaker installed. Should be back up and hitting the trails in 4 weeks with a slow rebuild. Still hoping to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge 10km in Sept. Fingers cross. All the best to you, Phil

    how is the ride on the asics gel kayano lite 3?.

      I like it. Its a comfortable shoe. Not really soft and also not too firm. Ideal for easy pace runs.
