Thanks. Your videos helped me a lot this weekend put in new head unit and backup camera. Only thing left is to figure out how to get the steering wheel controls to work with new head unit.
@Esqu3l3to An Atoto F7WE. Has Android Auto & Apple caraway with backup camera that is also a live video so you can see it when your driving too and when you shift to reverse. Pretty decent stereo for the cost and you can move around the audio in the car which helps alot because it's an 08 so the speakers aren't the absolute best but they are decent but that can help balance out the bass.
Their was an adapter for the steering wheel already hooked up with the previous aftermarket radio that was put in but it doesn't work with the Atoto head unit. Will probably have to get a specific adapter to hook up.
Ok, so these android radios usually come prewired for steering wheel controls. No aftermarket adapters needed. In the radio harness look for one or two wires labelled key 1 and key 2. Use of for the steering wheel controls. Ill send you the video for the steering wheel control wiring.
@Esqu3l3to Okay, so what wire would I tie the key 1 or key 2 wire to and would I tie both key 1 & 2 wires together into the steering wheel control wire or just one of them? The head unit has an aux hookup for steering wheel audio. The previous radio was using an adapter that was hooked up with an aux chord as well that I tied all the wires into when I rewired everything to the new head unit directly because i couldn't find a wiring harness. Everything works good all audio work in front and back. So I'm thinking if I just wire it directly I shouldn't need to use the aux hookup that is on the new unit. Will try that this weekend and see. Thanks.

Install should be pretty much the same for the 09 santa fe. As for steering wheel controls here is a link as to how wire that up: metradealer.com/files/aswc/ASWC-1_INST_405.pdf for the backup camera I recently did an install video of that. You can watch here: ua-cam.com/video/e6PsHo6bOBw/v-deo.html
Hi, sorry for the late reply. To setup the navigation, log into your google account, go to maps, search for the city you want to have access to, download it, then you can use. Or tether wifi off your phone anf use maps for navigagion.
Well yes and no, what you can do to avoid getting an airbag light on your dash is to plug it into the factory connetor. Remove it from your dash by removing all three screws, then plug it in and just hide it behind the dash.
I purchased a Seicane model for my Santa Fe 2008 that eliminated the clock and "Airbag Off" LED light. Can I splice intto the LED light and add a dash LED to retain the function?
I wouldn't do that, it may cause an issue and may get the airbag light on your dash. I would suggest plugging it in and just leave behind the dash. Unless you really want to see the sensor then relocate to top on dash if the harness reaches
I have the touch media radio but most of the area on the touchscreen is not working some if it is working. Is there a chance that the fix is not related to a new touch screen purchase?
First off, AMAZING video man! Thank you. Do you happen to know if this system has the Sirius XM Radio Connection already installed, or do you need to download the app? Thank you in advance!
Thanks for the good feedback 👍 I dont recall seeing anything for the XM radio. Let me double check, but I do think you would have to install the app on the unit.
Mine is a 2012 model, it came with the standard fm/am no Bluetooth. Would the Bluetooth/satellite radio (which us versions carry) fit in place of my old one?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. That would depend on the modules and harness. Sometimes changes are made year to year. I suggest you talk to a dealer and make sure it would be compatible 1st and if they fit one to another
It it has the speaker in the middle above the radio, most likely it has few fasteners (screws) holding it in place. You should be able to see them with the cover removed.
Esqu3l3to, Thanks for putting together such a great video! Have you had success with the optional Apple CarPlay dongle? Do you know if Seicane offers a native Apple CarPlay version?
Thanks! I have not tried the dongle, some if their units state they do carplay. I would suggest contacting them as I dont know for sure whether you would need the dongle or not tbh.
I purchased a similar system to this one and the installation was easy but the antenna wasn’t compatible with the connector would I need an adapter for this or did I purchase the wrong system
Yes you can just get an antenna adapter. Most aftermarket radios use the universal female antenna inputs. You should be able to find an adapter locally or online.
I just brought a hyundai Santa fe but it has a DVD player in it. Is it possible if I get a new radio I will still be able to use it to work the DVD player for the kids ?
I love that you're still responding to comments on a 2 year old video. I'm considering getting one of these, if you know, do they age okay or has it gotten slow/laggy? Also, the new units don't have a spot for the clock and the airbag indicator. I'm assuming you do car audio for a living/side hustle, so do you think it would mess up the system/be okay for these things to just be unplugged?
I reply to any comment/question regardless of how old the video is. I can't always give the most up-to-date info as I don't own all the cars as I do installs for family/friends or anyone that is close by. Now, for your question, this unit has been great. I still have the car and we use it daily, it has glitched out twice where I have to shut it off for about 5 min then goes back to normal, other than that no issues. I have contacted the manufacturer asking that exact question in regards to the airbag, but they can never give me a good answer. I have thought that you could simply plug in to the oem spot but just hide it behind the dash as to avoid an airbag light. Also, if you noticed that there are four open slots, 1 for each defroster and the hazards. Perhaps if you modify the fourth to accommodate the airbag display? it could be possible.
@@esqu3l3to great to hear! Considering you've had it for a few years, two errors like that is totally reasonable, it's just like our smartphones/computers. I hadn't thought about potentially modifying the option with 4 slots, I have the 3 buttons on my dash, but I'll consider that as an option as well. However, it seems like any problems could be avoided by just having it plugged in behind the setup as you suggest. The clear advantage to the Seicane system is the ability to just plug things in out of the box (it seems no other companies offer this type of convenience, it's probably expensive). I don't want to have to deal with crimping/soldering wires in harnesses so it's absolutely appealing to be able to buy it and have it installed in an hour with minimal tools and effort. Thanks!
Correct, all electronics have some glitches and so thats nothing out of the normal use. The way I see it, placing the connector behind the radio if unable to fit into fourth slot would be ideal. If you do decide to get a unit from Seicane, double check your connector type vs what they have. Asian models vs European vs North American are different so you may get a unit where it won't match your connectors. I did buy a unit for one of my previous vehicles and thats what happened. I did just buy an adapter harness and did not have to do any splicing into the oem harness, I don't mind doing that but I do it often. Just one thing to keep in mind, my vw on the other hand was complete plug and play.
i should know the answer to your question about the airbag indicator tomorrow as i'll be installing a Dasaita MAX6 into my 2007 Santa Fe. It looks like on the back of the unit there are two screw locations that correspond to the positions where the clock/airbag indicator might be able to screw in. The latest Dasaita MAX6 also is a single DIN as well... instead of double DIN like the author of this video... so there should be room for cables and the clock/indicator above. Unlike his Santa Fe mine didn't come with the steering wheel controls... and i'm wondering whether i can pick up a different steering wheel and clock spring to upgrade my car. It should be interesting if my factory harness has the pin 11/12 in there. My MAX6 came with two harnesses but neither of them fit the harness in the car (which is the same as in this video - M45A and M45B) so i had to make an adapter harness, using two Metra harnesses. Evidently for the North American market, Hyundai made a deal with Delphi to make the stereos (with XM satellite radios), so the rest of the world didn't get Santa Fes with such radios or the harness that goes into them.
Great video!! but Im finding that the unit lights power on but Im not getting anything to display. Almost seems like the unit is not getting enough power. Does the cable that was powering the dashboard clock also need to be plugged into the new unit? I know the main power and speaker cables go in and the radio but as far as that goes I feel like Im missing something. (btw the air bag light is now on.) . thoughts? Thank you!
I would check your ground wire, for my nissan I had to ground it to the metal frame behing the radio. Negative, the clock gets its own power and doesnt affect the unit. Did you disconnect the negative on the battery before install? If not that would set your airbag light, to reset it just unplug your negative on the battery for a good 5 min. If that doesnt reset it yoy may need a scanner with airbag capabilities to do so.
@@esqu3l3to I did disconnect the negative battery cable before performing the work. All good there. The issue with the plug that powers the original dashboard clock does affect the air bag light. With the new unit connected I took the old frame and reattached the clock and boom...Air bag light turned off. So I need to know how to get that plug to work with the new unit. Lastly, I will have to ground the negative and see if that gets the display to kick on. many thanks for trying to help. Sending you good vibes.
Hello, very good explanation, very clear, I wanted to know if you had to put a canbus decoder for the steering whell control and to turn on the amplifier (if it has one)
thanks! yes you can use a canbus decoder in order to keep steering wheel controls and or other oem features. I did not used one on this unit/vehicle. I did wire up the steering wheel controls; watch here: ua-cam.com/video/HPVAPVD1aHI/v-deo.html This vehicle does not have an amplifier and the radio will not work with amplified systems. I am not sure of their newer head units but this not is not compatible with premium systems.
@@esqu3l3to Thanks. I checked ignition wire and fuse behind radio. Also checked Santa Fe Fuse panel. Still no power to unit. I might disconect the 12v power from the backup camera since that is only connection that isn't plug and play.
@@esqu3l3to Resolved. The harness that fits was not designed for 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with Infinity sound system. As Plug & Play it doesn't work. I had it diagnosed by an installer and he was able to customize the harness so it powered up and so that the steering wheel controls would work.
This is a great video Sir! I'm prepared to place an order with Seicane for this exact model. I see your model is silver in color (which is preferred as it appears OEM). The new models appear dark blue in all the Seicane product images. Did you use paint? Are you aware of the correct model that is silver in color exactly like yours? Thank you, God Bless.
This exact model is no longer available, so I did add the new link in the description box. I did not paint mine, thats the color it came from them. I am not aware of a silver instead of black/blue but ill check again.
Hello can i get the android 9.1 9" screen into the original bezel once i remove the factory radio or will i need extra parts?and what power wire can i get for i wont have to cut the original power adapter to contact the wires with the one they send with the radio? I have the 2012.
No you won't be able to, their headunits are builts right into the dash. You only need to move your climate, defroster, and hazard switches. Depending on your car connectors you may need an adapter harness - this avoids from having to cut and splice into the car harness. You can remove your current radio to see you connectors and check what the units comes with.
@@esqu3l3to okay I was asking because I have seen the same radio unit that doesn't come with the bezel so I figured once everything is removed it would fit into the oem bezel..
Does it shut off when you turn the car off? Also, could be the dimmer is turned all the way down which would be odd but may happen.. can you hear any sounds?
Hi, thanks for the video ! That’s great. Where can I purchase the wiring between the old connector and the new connector (on website) ? Thank you in advance

@@esqu3l3to None of the aftermarket harnesses have the pigtails for the pin 11/pin 12 steering wheel signal and ground wires unfortunately. i have no idea why they didn't offer these wires. There is one harness that does, but its not meant to be used as a harness for a radio such as this.
I did make the steering wheel controls but without using a harness. Just used the two wires on one one the two harnesses. Watch here: ua-cam.com/video/HPVAPVD1aHI/v-deo.html
I'm confused why you need to buy a whole new front end, can't you just use the stock one and then use the headunit frame then it's done? Seems like a pain to replace the whole front fascia 🤔
Yes and no, for this specific android unit it was made as a single piece including the radio trim. If you go with a typical double din then yes you would re-use the car bezzle but would still need a dasb kit to fit the new radio. Its pretty much the same amount of work on either install.
Hello, the link for this head unit is not valid anymore, they have a new model, but that one doesnt have space for the airbag indicator? Would you please do a followup on the new headunit, really want a new "Radio" in my SantaFe, but i get confused when the new one doesnt show where the airbag indicator is? Good movie btw :)
Good night! Could you tell me about installing the multimedia for holy faith, I would like to know which cabling the sound whip (music change volume and mute) and intended for steering control control (cable colors)? thank you.
it does include everything yes, having said that depending on your region you may need a harness to match your vehicle. I would suggest to check which type you have in case you need a different type to install into your car. Otherwise this includes everything you need.

The canbus decoder is the module that "communicates" between your car computer and radio or other devices. So in cars, the car computer will tell the radio that the door is open, or climate control settings, steering wheel controls etc. Not all cars have that have it however. Depends on the model and make.
this model is no longer available. Firmware will depend on current model available. If you are looking to get one, message me on my FB page so I can get you a link.

I wont buy from Seicane again. The unit didn't fit the car they said it would, (Hyundai Sante Fe RHD) and I had to pay Aus$80 for return shipping. I'd recommend Eonon instead.
Tried installing this but the display won’t turn on. I press the reset button and the buttons flash Orange for a second and nothing else happens. I have everything connected except the light green wire called labeled brake. Should this go anywhere in particular? Or do I have other problems
Not connecting the park wire won't matter, check your 3 main wires. Yellow, red and black. Make sure your ground is a good ground and you have both yellow (constant 12v) and red (switched) both working.
perfect job man ! thanks .. but i have 3 questions : 1- does the quality of sound and bass still the same as the original sterio ? 2- does all steering wheel buttons work properly ? have you had electrical problems afterwards? thanks for answering ...
thanks! 1) yes sound quality is as good as original. This unit also has a EQ so you can do some adjusting as to what you like. 2) even tho this unit came with a can-bus decoder I, the harness I required did not allow me to use it. So currently I do not have my steering wheel controls working however I do have a wiring schematic so I will be looking to wire it up and have them work. 3) No electrical issues nor any other. Unit works great, used all the time for navigation, music, videos, handsfree calling etc.
Hi there, I've installed new radio system but the audio didn't work also the button on steering wheel didn't work either, could you please help me, if you have whatsapp or email to send you some photos please.

Esqu3l3to Thanks. I'm looking at a headunit package put together by Crutchfield. Because my Santa Fe has the Infinity speakers and Amp (limited edition), they recommend a "Scosche SLC4 Line Output Converter" . I'm not sure the amp setup I have is compatible with this Seicane. What do you think?
I know they do make some units that are compatible with oem premium sound systems but not sure about the Santa Fe. It would be best to contact them directly to ensure whether it would or not tbh.
I made the mistake of buying from this company and ended up getting a used unit that someone else had paired their phone with and downloaded maps to, and it seems that they massively overheated it as well as it smells like burned electronics (and still does weeks later). I had to fix the touch screen calibration myself because it was way off and it also had illegal software installed on it. In going back and forth with support they want me to spend over $100 to ship it back to them so they can "look into" replacing it. It also doesn't work with any of my steering wheel controls in my Smart 453 and the mounting bracket doesn't work properly with the silver backing piece for the stereo mount because there are connectors in the way of it so I had to mount it without the extra backing piece. Oh yes, it also doesn't provide enough USB power to reliably run the USB carplay unit if you also have a thumb drive attached to it and it didn't come with the latest software for it (which was difficult to find). This all feels a lot like a scam to me so buyers beware.
This is the second unit that I have and I have not had issues with either one. My VW unit was easy to install and plug and play. Same as this unit for the Santa Fe. Does look like you did get a defective unit. Hopefully they can get you all sorted out.
No luck with that, they were super slow to respond, wanted me to pay > $100 in return shipping and had nothing to say about the fact that it had illegal software installed on it except that they tried to tell me I was wrong at first and when I then sent them pictures of the software complaining it was illegal they back-pedalled and instead said that it would only be a problem if I tried to uninstall it or update it(!!) They finally did offer to pay for the return shipping after I started posting these reviews on youtube (well still have me pay for it and then refund it to me once they had gotten the unit back and tested it thoroughly and they required that I immediately take down all the bad reviews). These guys are jokers. If you're lucky and get a good unit then you're lucky and good for you, but if you're unlucky like me be prepared to just write it off.

Thanks for the good feedback 👍 I dont recall seeing anything for the XM radio. Let me double check, but I do think you would have to install the app on the unit.
Ok, so I checked and it does not show any connections for XM radio. So your best bet would be to download the app directly onto the unit.
I suggest you talk to a dealer and make sure it would be compatible 1st and if they fit one to another
so how do you get the speaker out. my mother in law has the infinity speakers in hers. can i just pop it out
It it has the speaker in the middle above the radio, most likely it has few fasteners (screws) holding it in place. You should be able to see them with the cover removed.
Does this have a rca port?
It does have rca inputs and outputs yes
Esqu3l3to, Thanks for putting together such a great video! Have you had success with the optional Apple CarPlay dongle? Do you know if Seicane offers a native Apple CarPlay version?
Thanks!
I have not tried the dongle, some if their units state they do carplay. I would suggest contacting them as I dont know for sure whether you would need the dongle or not tbh.
Dónde puedo conseguir los conectores ??
Great video thanks 👍
I purchased a similar system to this one and the installation was easy but the antenna wasn’t compatible with the connector would I need an adapter for this or did I purchase the wrong system
Yes you can just get an antenna adapter. Most aftermarket radios use the universal female antenna inputs. You should be able to find an adapter locally or online.
I just brought a hyundai Santa fe but it has a DVD player in it. Is it possible if I get a new radio I will still be able to use it to work the DVD player for the kids ?
Is the dvd player just for the back or is the dvd player controlled by the main radio?
Let me know how it turns out, send some pics if you can. chucho_301@hotmail.com. I'm interested to see how those units work.
For you first link, does it come with the radio and the trim around it? Like the buttons?
The unit is a single piece which includes the vent trim. You have to move over the front/rear and hazard switch to the new unit and vents of course.
I did wire up the steering wheel controls; watch here: ua-cam.com/video/HPVAPVD1aHI/v-deo.html
This vehicle does not have an amplifier and the radio will not work with amplified systems. I am not sure of their newer head units but this not is not compatible with premium systems.
How can I buy the same radio online can u pass me a link pls thanks for the video
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Message me through my fb page and I can get you the proper link there
I've installed a similar Seicane unit but it doesn't power up. Any way to troubleshoot?
Check your ignition power wire (red) and ground (black). Also check the fuse behind the radio. Some require chassis ground (bare metal).
@@esqu3l3to Thanks. I checked ignition wire and fuse behind radio. Also checked Santa Fe Fuse panel. Still no power to unit. I might disconect the 12v power from the backup camera since that is only connection that isn't plug and play.
Did you test your ground? Some radios require a good ground, like the metal framing behind the radio.
@@esqu3l3to I'll check the ground in the morning.
Can you get XM/Sirious radio out of that?
I didnt try that but im sure you can with an external adapter
I have an '07 Santa Fe with the infinity system. Will I need to buy a different harness?
Very likely yes, and I am not sure if these units will work with premiums sound systems.
Excellent jobb thanks!
Glad you like it

Hi, tell me please what is the comand for hard reset , thank you
Go through the settings, I believe its under about device.
Or at the front of the unit just below the USB slot there should be a small pin sized slot for a reset.
@@esqu3l3to I can no longer enter the menu, only android appears
@@esqu3l3to I need to give a hard reset to return to the factory settings
Ok, in this case you can remove the radio harness or fuse to the radio for about 5 minutes to reset it. I would suggest unplug the harness.
does the harness come with the adapter or did you have to wire it yourself?
It comes with its own adapter, however, I didnhave to get one that matched mine as there are various connector types.
Can I use the factory amp with this? I have a 2009 santa fe
According to Seicane, these units don't work with amplified systems. However, that may have changed. I suggest you contact them to verify.

Does this fit a 2010 santa fe?
Yes this will fit a 2010 santa fe.
You will lose the steering wheel functions, like volume control, or answering calls.
Not if you connect the canbus decoder. It will retains those functions.
Do the steering wheel controls work?
Yes they do, but only if you connect the wiring harness with the cunbus decoder.
@@esqu3l3to what is a cunbus decoder
The canbus decoder is the module that "communicates" between your car computer and radio or other devices. So in cars, the car computer will tell the radio that the door is open, or climate control settings, steering wheel controls etc. Not all cars have that have it however. Depends on the model and make.

but i have 3 questions :
1- does the quality of sound and bass still the same as the original sterio ?
2- does all steering wheel buttons work properly ?

1) yes sound quality is as good as original. This unit also has a EQ so you can do some adjusting as to what you like.
2) even tho this unit came with a can-bus decoder I, the harness I required did not allow me to use it. So currently I do not have my steering wheel controls working however I do have a wiring schematic so I will be looking to wire it up and have them work.
3) No electrical issues nor any other. Unit works great, used all the time for navigation, music, videos, handsfree calling etc.

I actually paid less at it was on sale.
Where can you get these for cheaper than the Seicane website?!
Try ebay or alibaba. Even amazon.
